Zumiez started out in the late 1970’s as a retail location in the Northgate Mall and subsequently expanded to more than 400 locations across the United States. The majority of the product line is geared toward the snowboarding and skateboarding community. Considering the customer base expands on a daily basis, the customer service team takes a proactive stance on assisting customers. The customer service department is available Monday through Friday, 11am to 11pm EST. The customer service team states a live customer service team member will respond to questions and concerns within four (4) hours after receiving the message. In the event you send a message after regular business hours, the customer service team will attempt to respond before noon on the next business day.

There are two email addresses for customers to send messages to the customer service team. We sent a message to the customer service department asking about discontinued items and getting the products back in stock. According to the website, we should receive a message within four (4) hours.

Our Experience

If you are in a hurry, calling the customer service hotline is not an ideal solution. We listed to the automated system and waiting on hold for more than four (4) minutes. After the customer service agent answered the call, we asked several questions. The agent was knowledgeable about the products and the policies. The overall experience was mixed due to the wait time.
