Customers visiting the Equifax website http://www.equifax.com/home/en_us have the ability to choose between personal solutions and business solutions. There is information relating to credit and identity products, credit education services as well as credit reporting assistance. There is also information relating to connecting to the customer service department on the Customer Resource page.

The Facebook page provided a viable outlet to connect with the customer service department. There were several conversations in which the customer service department addressed general questions. The average response time was approximately two (2) days.

Our Experience

There is no direct option to select to reach the customer service department. We selected six (6) attempting to reach the customer service department. This option is used for customers seeking information relating to their credit report. We waited in excess of 10 minutes prior to reaching a customer service agent. After the agent answered the call, we asked several questions relating to filing a dispute and the follow-up process. The agent explained the process and we ended the call. Although we received the answers we requested, the overall experience was not what we expected. We want to hear from customers just like you relating to your customer service experience.
