Our Experience
When we called the Ambit Energy customer service line we pressed 0 to connect with an agent, but it did nothing. You can press 1 if you are a current customers and 2 to sign up for new service. After pressing 1 for current customer we were asked to choose our state from the states serviced by Ambit Energy. There are nine states in all to choose from. Once you choose a state you have to enter your account number or you’ll wait on hold a long time, according to the recording. We were placed on hold for more than five minutes before an agent finally answered. We asked if Ambit Energy was available in our state. The agent read off the states where Ambit Energy was available.
On hold with customer service over 35 minutes – the website to register is not accepting my account information written on my letter from Ambit and when I called customer service and hit opt 1 for them to call me back I was not asked for my name or my phone number I was cut off and since I was calling from my work when the Ambit rep called back the main switchboard number she did not have any name to ask for so she left a message on the company’s generic mail box – so here I am calling back for a second time and it is now over 40 minutes on hold and no one has yet picked up the phone – I can’t log on to the web site because Ambit’s system will not accept my information and I can’t get anyone in customer service to answer the phone and I can’t leave my name and return phone call number on their automated system and their on hold music plays the same awful melody if you can even cal it that over and over droning in my ear – I am sick to my stomach at the poor customer service and no customer service email to be found. They do not make it easy to reach them – this is ridiculous to be left on hold for this long it is now over 45 minutes and counting.
You right a good service is the most important i. I did ofer a few time a wonderful service that its a self learning widget answers all questions in 64 languages and that will help you and all and that will olso increase sales 5-30%. AMBIT ENERGY LIKE TOO MANY SUCH ORGANIZATIONS PROMISES MUCH, BUT DELIVERS NOTHING. MY OBSERVATION IS THAT, BASED ON BILLING UNSUPPORTED BY METER READINGS,…. IS THAT AMBIT PROMISE OF A 10% SAVINGS INCREASED MY BILLING WITHOUT SUPPORT!!!! NOW IF AN INDIVIDUAL DID THAT, I THINK WE WOULD CALL IT STEALING. HOWEVER, WHEN DONE FROM BEHIND POOR LAWS AND WELL PAID LAWYERS IT IS “GOOD BUSINESS”!!!!
i have been on hold over 50 mins and i have pressed 1so they could call me back 2hrs later i call again becuse i have not heard from them and im still on hold 35plus min this is so crazy how they have people waiting looks like they might need more workers or something.

I have tried reaching customer service for two days…was on hold, called again, tried using their call back option. No response. Am cancelling from a company that refused to acknowledge you as a customer.
Horrible customer service!! Have been with them for 3 years but after being on hold for 30 mins yesterday and opting to have them call me back and never getting a call then calling them back today and being on hold for an hour still with no representative they will no longer have my service.
I cancelled my account and they told me it would be cancelled on the day I requested and come to find that it was not. Apparently it has to under go a processing time and so they charged me another billing cycle which I was very very unhappy to find that this was the case when the guy told me they would cancel it on the day I requested and said nothing else to me about a processing time. This company will screw you over any way they can, I do not trust them at all and will never deal with this scam company again. Ambit is fraud.
Is Ambit trying to dethrone Comcast for the reputation of the worst customer service? Just like all of the other customers that have posted on this page, I also have had no success getting through to anyone with Ambit. I’ve been calling since February 7 (10 days), and I stay on hold each time for at least 30 minutes before I press “1” and leave my contact information for a call back. What really amazes me is that I have yet to receive a call back. I’m not sure if they’re disregarding their customers out of spite, or if they just lack appreciation for their customers.
I called your company about sonth ago to complain about my unusually high National Grid bill. They said I never replied to a letter sent to me requesting that I continue my service with your company so my rate went up. I complained as I never received this letter do hr reinstated my account with Ambit and promised to send me a check for the difference in what I should have paid and what I actually paid. It’s been over a month and still no refund, no phone call, nothing. I can’t get a live person at your customer service phone number and I am extremely disgruntled with Ambit.

Ambiant Energy might be the cheapest, They are so cheap, they will not send a normal monthly bill. Instead, after me calling several times to get my bill. Ambiant has elected to only send me CUT-OFF MOTICES and blame the Post Office for me not getting my monthly bill. This has been a Pain In My Backside now for 6 months. Today, I contacted another Energy Provider to receive my energy from with a monthly Bill instead of a Monthly CUT-OFF NOTICE. I will see how they work out.

I am not happy with the web site. I called the customer service number and got some free cruse I did not want. Itried another number onthe website and got consultant help. ALL I WANT IS to find out how much my new monthly payments will be and make sure you keep me because nyseg said my Ambit service will run out next month. Thank you. Sorry for the caps but I am frustrated.
Ambit does not send you a bill but when they called today and went and paid my bill they STILL shut my electricity off and the temperature is below freezing tonight! There is NO emergency contact numbers I would CHANGE my service but this is the ONLY service my apartment uses!! I have no place to stay tonight but in my freezing apartment! These are the MOST uncaring people!!

We have had a few problems with Ambit billing/customer service in the past. I just received a Disconnect Notice for an account that is up-to-date and paid. This is not the first time this has happened. Also, I have repeatedly requested that my two account premiums be made due on the same date, but the Ambit representative contends that it can’t be done…very poor customer service. There have been other problems in the past with which weren’t dealt satisfactorily. We are considering ending our account with Ambit.
