Xcel customer service encourages customers make contact via email for concerns, compliments and account issues. They are upfront about the fact that email communication is not responded to as soon as the email is received. There could be a wait time between when you send your email and when you receive a response. The email address for Xcel customer service is CustomerService@xcelenergy.com. A second email address is also offered as Inquire@xcelenergy.com.
The Xcel Energy company automated system will tell you it cannot understand your request when you press 0, but that’s a lie. Press 0 three times and you’ll be routed to an agent. Our wait time was less than one minute. The agent told us there was an email address for customer service, which she verified was the one we already found. She also told us the mailing address for the corporate office without asking any additional questions. The call was simple and efficient.
