Social Media

We noticed several social media pages for the Vanguard Group. When we visited each page, we noticed active conversations between the customer service department and customers. We have to note, the social media pages are a great alternative to traditional lines of communication. The response time was within 24 hours of asking questions.

Customer Service Email

There are several ways to connect with the customer service department by email. We sent a message to the customer support team asking for information of the minimum monetary amount needed to be a wealth management customer. We will update you with the outcome. The automated response did not provide a timeframe as to when a customer care agent would respond.

Our Experience

Contacting the customer service team was easy, but we have to note the answers from the customer service team were a bit out or sorts. We connected with a live agent in less than 2minutes. We called and pressed 0. The operator answered and connected the call to the customer service agent. Our questions surrounded around FDIC insurance. Instead of answering the question, the agent offered to send us a copy of the prospectus. We asked again and the message was the same. We liked the length of the call, but we feel as if a customer service agent should answer the questions presented by a customer or a potential customer. Was your questions answered? We would love to hear your customer service experience. Share your thoughts below in the comment section.

  1. After waiting for over 30 minutes (and still did not get connected to a rep), I am
very frustrated that I cannot make a simple transfer – from an existing mutual fund
to another. This is an outrage that I have not been connected. If I get this message
again on another possible trade I will be moving my accounts elsewhere.

  2. Customer service rep. Was extremely rude. Wanted to withdraw money from my account, not only did the fraud prevention rep call me, she refused to let my transfer go through. I now have to draft a letter get it notarized and FedEx it to them to complete my transaction. Talk about an inconvenience and a delay that I can’t afford. So I don’t have my funds and I’m out $30 bucks for overnight mail that will probably sit in their processing center for a week.

  3. I have been trying to speak to a representative for over a week, after been very frustrated not having any reponse from them,i also have tried to set up my account online not been succeeded at all, I really dont know what to do. I didn’t even started and i am already facing these problems, i can not imagine what kind of problems we are going through when we need more service from them. BAD SERVICE.

  4. Horrible company. The only way to submit forms is via mail or fax; yet NO WHERE on their web site is a fax number and while in some places, the site says they have saturday hours, when you dial the number; the electronic voice tells you they are only open Monday through Friday.

  5. All I wanted was a Fax number that would accept my signature form for a withdrawal. They gave me the WRONG number and left me on hold for 20 minutes 3 of the times I tried to call..Pretty awful

  6. These people are the worst of the worst I mean just AWEFUL OMG Don’t ever get into a situation with a hardship they are going to make it a living hell for you. I do not like them at all and I don’t have anything good to say about them.

  7. still waiting on paperwork from July, 2017 regarding a withdrawal. A rep called with banker’s hours – 10-2pm and I never received a response to my messages. I now have a tax statement for funds I did not receive. they mailed a check to correct the error – not the full amount due – then stopped payment on the check. No explanation, my account was overdrawn and this issue has not been resolved. been with Vanguard for 30+ years and have NEVER been this disappointed. I would like my money – not a “call the office” email.
