Our Experience

When customers review the website, they will notice information pertaining to the program. What customers may not find is information regarding the automatic payment system. When we connected with the customer service agent, we asked if a customers credit card is charged after they decide to cancel the program.

The agent explained on rare occasions a credit card is charged. Once the service is canceled, the charges stop. The agent also recommended checking your billing statement for unusual charges and contacting the customer service department for a refund of charges after cancellation. This appears to be a lengthy process, but we were pleased the customer service agent decided to provide this information. What information did the customer service team give you?   1. Question: Why on earth have u not yet opened a fast food restaurant????? The market is THERE! Your company could be the first….we all need it. It just makes sense. Think of the $$$$$$.

    • Yes, Nutrisystem should open locations all over the country because it works, does not harm the health and is easy to use. I would be one of the best customers. Escpecially after holidays it would be fantastic to get Nutrisystem for just one week. Then we all could enjoy without regrets he holiday goodies and feasts.

      • Yeah me too. I haven’t went to a fast food place for awhile, also have had any kind of chips, I can by pass them at the store.

  2. The last shipment of food we received was not up the normal standards for us. There were several cereals packets that only has 1-2 spoon full of cereal in them, meat and mashed potatoes with only 1-2 small pieces of meat in them and three times now – the pizza has had NO cheese in them to melt. We’re not sure we want to place another order if this is the quality being sent. Do you have quality control people working for you?

  7. Good Afternoon: I have been watching the commercial for your product, for awhile. I am tired of seeing Marie and what ever actress you have on there. Why NOT put a real fresh all american girl from towns around the country who have followed your system.
    We all don’t have the money, houses, maids, and cooks to do everything for us. I realize Marie works very hard and has lots of children and has been on hard time through her life. But Not everyone wants to look like her! We want just to be healthy, fit and a good body weight. Just NORMAL women who are trying.

  11. My wife and I were previous members, but had stopped the program. I got a promo email on 5-27-14 offering a 50% discount for “three days only”. On 5-28-14, I tried to order on-line, but failed to get the discount. I tried again in the morning of 5-29-14 and once again, did not get the discount. I then called and was told it ended the prior night. I explained when I got the first email and the attempts I made on-line, but was told that the supervisors said; No, it ended last night”. From Tuesday to Thursday is only 2 days. Such a shame. I feel ripped off and did not order.

  12. Nutrisystem Food was Not to my liking. I didn’t even loose any amount of pounds while I was on their diet. Nutrisystem bragged alot about their commericals.
    There was no taste,and the Food was not that
    good at all!

  13. Congratulation, the food quality and taste is much, much better than years ago when I lost almost 100 lbs with Nutrisystem.

    BUT……. as a physical limited person (the left arm and hand are paralyzed) I had to ask strangers to open the cans because I could not open them with only one hand. Even after opening and replacing the plastic lid I was in trouble. The lids are so tied that I had to use a knife to cut a hole in the lid. Ptompt did I cut myself ! Since I have to take bloodthinner medication I had a blood lake on my floor within seconds. I was forced to call 911 for help.

    When shipping deserts with chocolate to Phoenix, Arizona (at this time of the year average temperatures 105 – 115 F you need to pack them in ice because FedEx and UPS trucks do not have cooling in their trucks. I had to scrape the bars from the wrapping paper with a knife and everythiing was just a melted messy chocolate peace.

    Last but not least how can I get more of the energy and graving stop shakes ??

  14. I have just received my second order and both times all of the dry pack chocolate items have been melted and squashed. You would think a company this large would have a better way of

  15. I am very very disappointed with nutrisystem. I paid for an order that I never received and got credited without me receiving anything, only for the cost of food. the postage which was a large amount because they used UPS, was not refunded. why people, why? I waited long years to be able to use your system and without any warning I already am loosing not pounds but money. I have chatted with counselors and they can not help, say to use the customer service which I have been trying with no luck. this is a rippoff.

I believe this ad should be pulled from the advertising for Nutrisystem as it offends not only me but many people I have talked to. I don’t feel you should have the necessity to bring Marie’s mother dying into this ad.   18. I feel compelled to write to you. I am an elderly lady who placed an order today. I was assisted by a counselor, by the name of Oshal. I don’t actually know how to describe him other than (AWESOME). I was having difficulty when placing my order….. there is so much to choose from and could not decide on what to order. This young man was so courteous, kind, and most of all patient….. he is the reason why I placed my order, otherwise I would have given up. He should be commended for his great service. Oshal is certainly an asset to Nutrisystem!!!!

  20. I completed one order from Nutrisystem, followed the program as designed for me and instead of losing I have gained weight. I have received my second order but after the results I have experienced with the first order wish to return the products for a refund. It is my understanding that you want your customer to be happy with their results or a refund will be issued for returned food. I have tried numerous times to reach a customer service rep but to no avail. This kind of service would certainly lack of referrals.l

  25. i asked for my order to be delayed for a few days as the first two came right on top of each other i asked for it to be sent on April 18th. and when i phoned they said it was being prossed on the 17th but it didnt get posted unil April 22nd now it is April 29th and no sign of my food i phoned purlator with the tracking number and they said it will be delivered on 30th 0r 1st of May i have been without my food for 2 days today, why did it take so long to be mailed i am not very happy about this and i have just recomened a friend to nutrisystem which i am sorry i did.

  28. I called to post-pone my second shipment due to illness and financial situation. Then when I called to cancel they told me they would charge me a cancellation fee of $84! I didn’t return the food because I honestly thought I would start up again once I got well. Once I did I couldn’t believe the food. Its pretty much all pasta!!! Nothing like their advertising shows. This diet did absolutely nothing for me except waste $256 plus $84 cancellation fee that I could have bought healthy food with for months. Very disappointed Nutri-System!!!

  29. I currently have 2 months of Nutrisystems meals in my home and have cancelled my program at this point. I have never been so disappointed in a product that claims to have delicious meals. Most of the meals are TERRIBLE. I just threw away a deep dish pizza that was so cardboard-like I could not chew it. The chicken alfredo I tried to eat last evening was like paste and the smell was horrible. (That was also thrown away.) Is this how the plan is supposed to work – You lose weight because you can’t eat the meals? If I can return any of this for a refund without paying an exorbitant shipping fee, please let me know.

  30. Stop using Marie Osmond. She has been sucked, plucked, nipped, tucked and airbrushed. Any person that attended to can look good. Use a real spokesperson who hasn’t had liposuction, plastic surgeries and all the extras!

  31. I received my order with the Fast5 and remainder of food.
    When I opened the box I found the shipment had been handled rough and one container of food was broken open. It was a mess.
    The product was shipped by FedEx.
    I found when I opened the Fast 5 box there was no shaker bottle in the kit. I understood there would be a shaker bottle in the kit.

    At this point I do not know if I will reorder any additional food or not.

    I will use what I have, then make a decision.

  32. I received my frozen food today 7/11/15 not sure what time since I was gone all afternoon (1:00 to 5:30) When I opened package to put away it was all soft. I didn’t receive any notice that my frozen food was shipped like I always do with tracking number. I received a tracking number on my non frozen food which I received yesterday 7/10/15 after 5:00. I will call Monday but wanted to let you know about my problem today.

  35. I delayed this order until 10/1/15. I just received notice shipment was sent on July 23. I checked my account and it states delayed until 10/1/15. If this order arrives then I am cancelling . Why do you offer delay possibilities and then disregard customers wishes?

  36. I received my order and I was sent 10 Chicken Parmesan Pasta lunches! I realize you were substituting for some other lunches. This lunch is one of my least favorites. I should have been notified so I could have made my own selections. I won’t eat those lunches.

  42. My name is Mona Olinsky. I was previously on the program for (6) months and loved it. I reached my goal of weight loss and then some. I have now started the program back as of August 2015. This time it has been a very unpleasant experience due to the shipments and arrival of my monthly food order. The order before this last one, all the frozen food was practically melted. And it was delivered more than a week after the regular food arrived. The whole experience of trying to reach a live person in your customer service dept. was a nightmare and practically impossible. I’m sure you have the records to see what all transpired due to my complaints once I did make contact with a live person. A supervisor (I think) did call me a few days later and apologized for what happened and offered me $50 off my next shipment. And she managed to get my frozen food replacement shipped immediately. I understood that these things can happen as I was told last month there was a problem with the dry ice. However, this month my regular food was received a week ago today and I still have not received the frozen food. When I finally (again) got a live person to answer customer service this morning, I was told the frozen food will be shipped today. I am almost out of frozen food selection. After a serious discussion I asked to speak to a Supervisor. Of course I was told they were all busy and I would have to wait awhile. I did not want to hang up and re-live the whole mess of trying to reach someone. After a few minutes, a Supervisor named Alisha did come on the line. She explained to me Nutrisystem’s policy on when shipments go out, and my frozen order is still within range of being on time. She said I should receive it this week probably by Tuesday. That’s tomorrow and will not happen! So at that point I cancelled my next order and my business with Nutrisystem.
    When I was on the program before I never had this problem. My dry food and my frozen food were delivered to my home either the same day or a day afterwards. The new system Nutrisystem has of sending the frozen food out 4-7 days AFTER the dried food is shipped is ridiculous. I realize they come from (2) different facilities, however, they should still co-ordinate the shipment so that the customer has ALL the food about the same time. This way the customer can have the choice of what he wants to eat on any day. That’s what we are paying for.
    I no longer can refer people to your program. And I am very disappointed that I am unable to continue on Nutrisystem. Something has gone wrong in the shipping decisions being made, as well as the customer service dept. not being able to be reached by a person with-in a reasonable amount of time. Last time I was on hold for 45 minutes. This is terrible for a customer to be put through this aggravation, and it isn’t always feasible to wait for someone to call you back (as the recording keeps repeating).
    Nutrisystem has a real big problem now and will continue to lose customers if somebody in upper management (Corporate) doesn’t do something to change this. I am still going to reach a Director or Senior Vice President in Corporate to share my experience with because they need to know what is happening.

  45. I feel the food was ghastly. I had pushed my order out 3 times, because I still had food left from the 2nd order I place. I could not eat it. I would gag on it. No taste. I would cook my own food or buy weight watchers food. Checked the packages with other products on the shelf and found items that matched sodium calories etc. that were cheaper and close to what they were selling. would not recommend any of the food to my pets.

I asked for my money back and then I find out my 2 weeks are up. Not a word of this on your website that I saw. I cancelled my next order and from you is a refund less the 99.00. You need to honor what you say about your program and be up front. I will be looking for my full refund-my next step is to get my bank involved. They are very helpful with things like this.

  48. This is concerning a dispute for $99 charged to my paypal account for cancelling. I did not cancel and I was told that my $99 would be refunded but is still charged to my paypal and I need it removed ASAP. My bank account is overdrawn.   49. I contacted customer service last Monday and after speaking with them I asked for a manager. I spoke with Deandra who said they would review the tapes and get back with me within 72 hours. I did not receive a call and have not had any contact with her since then. I realize the weather has challenged everyone and if this is the reason for the delay I can understand that. I do hope someone gets back with me soon. I also am concerned I started program on Jan 11th and received initial one week of food items. Then I received two weeks worth. I paid for a full month and unless I am not understanding something I should be receiving a credit. I want to also say I just chatted with counselor and received helpful information how to change my order. That renews my good thoughts about the program. I lost 18 pounds in the first week and am continuing to lose. I am very happy and do not wish to discontinue. Waiting for an email reply and contact from manager who promised she would call. She also said she was sending out crush shakes in the different flavors and to this date I have not received an email saying it was shipped. Can you advise on this matter too. Thank you.

  51. This is the only way I can see to send you an email. This program is not for me. I will never eat 1/2 the foods that you sent me. First, I do not like chocolate or peanut butter. the Turbo package includes:

  57. I am on my second month of Nutrisystem and I am enjoying the food and losing weight.When I put in my 2nd month’s order I paid extra to choose my own foods, which was great. However, I specified (where I was asked) that I wanted no more spicy foods; Kung Pao noodles, chili and beans..several items with the word ‘spicy’ included in the name. How did this happen? I am not happy about this at all- I have about 8 lunches and/or dinners that I cannot eat. Help!

    • For my second month of food, I specified (at extra cost) to NOT have any spicy foods in my order at all. I cannot eat them. Unfortunately I received about 7 lunches/dinners with the word spicy in the description. What can I do about this?

  58. In my last order one of the dinners, chicken pot pie, had mold all over the outside of the package. Needless to say I threw it away but must say I am not at all pleased with this. Makes me wonder if it could possibly affect all the other items in my order.

The food is not as good as advertised, unless you like beans. Too many bean dishes, which upset my stomach. Pizza tastes like cardboard. Too much sodium in the food.

  79. This is the biggest fake BS ad ever, I don’t know who can believe Marie Osmond was some fat little girl that got harassed in school. Her family had money and enough fame that I don’t believe anyone would have harassed her or her brothers if she was fat, and I never saw a fat photo of her when she was small, what a crock of Bull your company is trying to sell. On top of her and her brothers being trained in Karate under Chuck Norris it sounds like the biggest BS story ever. The truth is she probably had the eating disorder after she left her kids and husband and continued after her son killed himself. She isn’t as perfect as she appears, it would be nice to see someone else in this commercial with the junk you sell as food if you really are still pushing this garbage. It would be better to advertise eating and exercising properly instead of eating crap that’s no good for you because of the garbage that’s put in it and recommend people with eating disorders get mental help.

    • The Nutrisystem program is lousy, unfair, horrible company. I tried to cancel my account, was told I would be charged $125.00. The notice about this was in very small print when I signed up. This is a horrible way to run a company. I will tell everyone I know NOT to join this program. I demand the return of my $125.00. I am making a complaint to the dept. of Consumer Protection. This is not the American way to run a company.

  83. You have an incompetent web site, and very structured, bureaucratic personnel to magnify the problem. I placed two orders – one for me, and one for my granddaughter. The plan itself has been spectacularly successful in helping both of us lose weight. The problem arose when I attempted to pay for the second round of the program. I initially placed both orders separately because I wanted to pay for them separately for personal book keeping purposes – no problem. Then when I attempted to pay for the second round, I couldn’t pay in the same manner, because both our names were on one account even though I had ordered them separately and they were shipped separately. Now I can’t pay for the program(s) separately for corporate bureaucratic rules. I don’t want to drop the program for myself or or my granddaughter but I don’t want to be talked to like I am an idiot by a service representative. I’d certainly like to get this straightened out if anyone at Nutrisystem can help me.

    graph said I need to lose 8 pounds and I would be happy with that. Your representative said I had to order two months of the diet. I am also happy with that. I told him that I wanted to end the program, and he told me that it could not be stopped and in fact, he already had sent me another order.
