Our Experience

When you call the customer support hotline, you will notice a few options. If you need to check the status of an order, press one (1). If you need to place an order, press two (2). If you need to check the status of a gift card, press three (3). If you need to locate a store, press five (5). If you want to reach out the customer service department, press six (6). After making our selection, we waited on hold for less than 6 seconds. After the agent answered the call, we asked several questions relating to the return policy. I went to the Meriden Wallingford Michael’s yesterday and waited in line for 10 minutes there were workers just walking around and not opening any registers the manager was ringing a register while the others were just talking amongst themselves this is ridiculous and terrible customer service this is the second time I’ve had a problem with Michael’s as soon as I approached the registers one representative closed her register and decided to walk over 2 baskets to the door. then they just walk around doing nothing leaving the customers to wait it’s going to be a long time before I go back they need or intensive training regarding
    customer service. I am very frustrated and disappointed – even the manager said nothing to her staff. Really that’s Michaels customer service???

I bought a set of water color brushes at the State College (PA 16803) store a few days ago and used one of the brushes for the first time this Wednesday in a class, but the hair from the brush was all over the paper, so I practically could not use the brush. Today, I went to the store to return the set and selected 2 individual brushes to buy. However, I was told that the brushes could not be returned because the store could not sale them again! Yes, these brushes are not expensive, but that does not mean they should shed hair all over! Michaels does not take any responsibility for the quality of the products you sale?

    I left the store without buying the two brushes I intended to buy, and I also left the set I wanted to return at the store.

    • I shopped at Michael’s in Tampa, Fl. I got a coupon for 40% off any regular item. I was buying crates and thought this will be great to get the last 2 I needed. The woman at the register told me that the crates were special priced and did not count. What is the point of having a coupon if you can’t use it? I understand not using it with products on sale. These were not. This is the type of thing that makes me not want to shop there.

  3. I purchased the Caron Jumbo 12 oz. S/N 2015-11-K3l93 Chocolate Multicolor yarn. It was very hard to find where the yarn began but most frustrating was that after knitting through 2/3 of the skein, that yarn was then intertwined with what appeared to be the start of another skein making it necessary for me to untwine the remaining 1/3 of the skein. This took a considerable amount of time. Also, the thickness of the yarn varied from thick to thin throughout the skein.

  4. I recently visited the Palm Springs Ca store, and while I was waiting excessively long in the checkout line, I realized I could do without everything in my cart, about $50 worth of stuff. I simply left it there because the clerk had no sense of urgency whatsoever about getting people thru the line. Can you imagine how often that happens and how much revenue Michaels is losing as a result of incompetent, slow, checked-out employees. I will shop online with another store.

  5. I hade a phone number register with michaels but my phone number change. I was there a day ago and lost the discount because I did not know the old number my discounts was under. Please tell me how to get my new phone number registered so that will not happen to me again. Thank You

  6. I’m writing to complement you on the courtesy and professionalism of the customer service manager at the Roswell, Georgia store. Nick Buccellato went out of his way to look for and finally replace some beads that were missing from my bag when I got home. He actually made a trip to another store on a holiday weekend to obtain the beads, since they were no longer available at his store. He merely asked me very politely to recheck my house and car for the beads (which I had done several times). I had called to see if someone had noticed the beads in the store but never expected them to be replaced. This is amazing customer service by an outstanding employee!
