There is also a Service Status section telling customers what lines are on-time or behind.

Customer Service Email

Do you have a question for Metro? You can send your question to the Metro customer service department using the online contact form http://www.wmata.com/about_metro/contact_us/ridercomment.cfm. This is the only means of contacting Metro by email listed on the website. There are internal email addresses within the transit authority, but none are used for general customer service contact.

Our Experience

The list of available options is long and rather confusing. Customers should listen carefully in order to select the correct department and avoid waiting on hold. We only waiting for approximately 3 minutes before a customer service department answered our call. The question on our mind was the hours of operation of the customer service department. The agent explained you can call the Metro phone number from 6 AM to 8:30 PM Monday to Friday and 7 AM to 8:30 PM Saturday and Sunday.

  1. To whom this may concern,
I really want customer service to know I am very disappointed with my ride for January 15th 2014. I scheduled that trip on Tuesday January 14th 2014. I told the reservationist, I have a 9:00am appointment. This appt. was scheduled on November 2013 that is how long it takes to get in at the Howard University School of Denistry. Well I was late for my dental appt. I arrived for my appt. 30 minutes late. They refused to see me. I know people always think it is the driver’s fault this time I say this was poor scheduling, (very Poor scheduling) I can see some training could be put to good use over in dispatch and scheduling. I am not happy at all about this I have been waiting to get in that school for awhile. Now my next appt. for the School of Denistry is not until February 6, 2014. This matter deserves your immediate attention. Thank You
