Our Experience
Expect a longer than average wait time when calling Kaiser Permanente. The automated system provided the option to speak directly with a customer service representative, but little did they tell you, you will have to wait for service. We waited more than 10 minutes before we spoke with a representative.
After the wait, the agent answered the call. We asked if the company could provide us with other ways to contact the customer service department. The agent explained customers could contact the customer service team on Twitter as well as Facebook. We appreciated the information, just not the wait time. Did the company seem to place you on hold and forget you were there? Let us know in the comment section below.
A few weeks ago I wrote a comment “languishing in France. Bad news, my husband spent two weeks in a French Hospital after surgery for a broken femur, before preparations were made for his transport at home, stifling us in a dept of 26,000 euros which is sucking our bank account dry and beyond, with claims processing at least a month more away. More bad news, if not for the help of my brother-in law, I might still be languishing in France. Good news, my husband was repatriated to the Morse facility in Sacramento, accompanied by a Kaiser nurse the whole way. Bad news, he was released a day later, without any guidance for me on how to transfer him from wheel chair, walker,.. He has fallen two times since. He is in coinstant pain and it is agonizing for me to watch. I called begging for an appointment today. Yes, someone talked with us, but the appointment is still not scheduled. What about,” we work for the best care of our patients” (as was said to me whn I complained about the cost of each extra day in the French hospital?
On Sunday 2/8/15 I visited the Kaiser in Largo Md, with the intent to pick up my new High blood pressure medicine. was told they did not carry/have in stock the med’s I needed, was told the medicine would be ordered, and would be there on 2/9/15 I went there, NO medicine come back tomorrow after 3pm, I was told. since I worked late I arrived at Kaiser in Largo Md at 11:45pm, was told my medicine would be there Wednesday 2/11/15, called them at 3:25pm was told my medicine (HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE) MEDICINE would be there Tuesday, so I ask the young lady which Tuesday today is Wednesday, and I was told it would be ready Monday, then Tuesday, now it’s Wednesday, and I have gone 4 day without high blood pressure medicine. the medicine that was prescribed to me made my heart rate go up so I could not take it. that what cause me to come to this point. so now Im out $32.00 for medicine I cannot use, and had to pay Giant food pharmacy another $26.43 for the Valsartan that Kaiser in Largo Md do not carry. I just came back to Kaiser after being with United Health Care for 5 years i’m so disappointed, this is not how Kaiser treated me in the pass. right now I want to go back to UHC. NOT GOOD AT ALL HAPPY NOW
Im out over $55.00 because Kaiser in Largo Md did not have the medicine I can take, after paying for medicine I cannot take. I just renewed my medical plan. SHAME ON KAISER
I am a Kaiser member and patient and was visiting for some treatment and to my shock , some other patient came out of the treatment room with a pet dog….!!!!! I was shocked as that was not a service dog . It was a small Yorkshire terrier like dog and was acting like a spoilt dog and not a trained dog. I am surprised why people /dog lovers don’t understand the importance of respect and hygiene. Abusing the system is wrong. I think it’s time people who have service dogs should carry an official card specifying the need to have the dog in supermarkets which I also experienced numerous times, and realized that it’s becoming an abusing problem and freedom to those who treat animals like humans and expect others to accept their pet to be in hospitals and supermarkets. Where hygiene and health is of the essence. Please make a petition to create cards as proof of service dogs
