Contacting HSBC Customer Service Center

HSBC is a bank, lender and investment company with a long history and a poor reputation for customer service. HSBC pulls some of its business from the sub-prime lending market. Sub-prime markets are packed with people who have less than perfect credit, which often means higher fees, missed payments and default, in some cases. Customers who fall into the sub-prime category can miss a payment by one day and end up paying tons of money in late charges and that’s how HSBC got the poor reputation for customer service it has today.

Our Experience

It appears HSBC wants to give the customer the run around. We called and the automated system is long and confusing. We attempted several times to select 0 to speak with a customer service representative, to only be returned to the previous menu. We finally waited through one of the options not specifically for customer service and spoke with a representative.

The agent was rude and not professional. We merely asked the location of the nearest branch in our local area. The representative placed us on hold for more than 3 minutes and finally provided the information. The kicker was the agent quickly ended the call. We are not pleased with the level of customer we received. Did you feel the same way? Share your thoughts with us below.

  1. Hi,

I have been trying to work with an HSBC reprentative for 2 days now and cannot get a return call. Can you please have Douglas Roffle return my phone call or email.

  2. This has to be the worst customer service ever. I was on the phone for over two hours trying to fix a mistake they made regarding a loan. I was told to fax a lien request and it has been over two months with no reply. Tried to re-send the paperwork but their website does not have a fax number

  3. What is the HSBC Bank USA Customer Service Fax Number? All this other information is worthless because it is on their website. No use talking to these idiots that barely speak English.
