Official Website
New and existing Household Bank customers can visit the website http://www.householdbank.com/ in order to sign up for online services, apply for credit, manage their account as well as learn about the benefits of having a credit card. When looking around the website, we took note of the amount of information would could create confusion. We stumbled upon the Customer Help Center which offered detailed advice and answered several of our questions.
Customer Service Email
Customers not locating answers from the FAQs can contact the customer support department here https://www.hsbccreditcard.com/ecare/contactus/emailus1. Considering the email form is unsecured, the company recommends not including personal information in the form. Customers with an active account will need to sign into their account and send a secure email. We sent a message asking for information relating to the hours of operation. The automated message system stated we should receive a response within 12 hours.
Our Experience
The customer service hotline takes awhile to decipher if you are not currently a Household Bank customer. When the applicable options are complete, customers can press 9 and are directed to a customer service agent. Although the automated system states customers could potentially have a longer than average wait, we were speaking with a customer service agent I less than 2 minutes.
Our question revolved around the necessary information needed to apply for a credit card; in particular, can customers with less than stellar credit apply for services. The agent explained credit rating is not a determining factor. The company offers several accounts designed to assist customer build credit. We expected a bad experience, but in fact, we received excellent customer care. Did you? Shout out your thoughts relating to your customer service experience.
I evidently had a loan with Household bank in 2002 on a ATV. Could I get a lien release statement? Thanks.
