Our Experience

Contacting Thrifty Car Rental was a taxing experience. We called and the automated system repeated the same options multiple times prior to transferring the call to the customer support team. When we finally spoke with a live agent, we were immediately placed on hold. We waited in excess of 5 minutes before we were able to voice our concerns. We simply wanted information relating to canceling a reservation and receiving a refund. The agent explained customers had to cancel the reservation a minimum of 24 hours before the date to ensure a proper refund.

A 10 second answer should not take 10 minutes. We feel as if Thrifty Car Rental let us down in the customer service department. How did you feel after your contacted the customer service department? We would love you hear your feedback. Share your story below.

One comment on “Contact Thrifty Car Rental Customer Service
  1. One of the poorest experiences I have had with a car rental company occurred yesterday. Two weeks ago I parked my car at the Thrifty Agency near Logan and was given a slip with a number to call as well as instructions to dial “6” when it answered. I did so and was told it did not recognize the number. I then dialed 4 which was for the manager and was told to leave a message. I then dialed whatever the number was for renting a car and was told that since they have now moved into a consolidated building they couldn’t help me. There was no obvious place to pick up a Thrifty bus and one passed us by despite our waving to it.l We finally had to take a 25 dollar taxi ride to the lot and were told it was not their fault but the phone service was all messed up because of the move which certainly was ot our fault. The lack of concern and the problems in picking up our car after traveling for the previous 25 hours does not make us fans of Thrifty.
