Everything you need to know about PSE&G is found on the official website at http://www.pseg.com. This site is the hub for all company properties, including residential customer service and support. You can log in to your energy account to pay your bill and change/start/stop service as needed. The contact page doesn’t offer customers much more than a list of phone numbers and a few contact forms.

Our Experience

The PSE&G customer service line is answered by an automated system, but you can press 0 to transfer the call immediately to customer service. On the day we called, the wait time was up to five minutes for a representative, but customers can request a call back from PSE&G so they don’t have to wait on hold. The wait time was clearly just an estimate because we waited only 3:23 before an agent answered the call and verified the payment address.

  1. y don’t i have heat or power yet? my address is connected to what is the new milford power grid. this is unacceptable in the yr 2012 that it has taken 7 days w/o heat or power. how can u do that to people in this day and age then expect ur bill paid?

  2. We are considering installing a whole house generator powered with natural gas. We had an estimate from our electrical contractor of between $800 & $1,200. The gas connection is approx.15 feet away from generator. Is a closer estimate possible.?

    Was told by Supervisor Mike someone would be out between 4 and 8 to turn my power on. Wow really???

    830pm rolls around no one to be seen. I call PSE&G, wait on hold for 30 min.

    Ask them what’s up? Where are you guys? Was told my guy was on a gas leak call. B.S. I call. He hangs up!

    I call again asking for a Supervisor. We don’t know when someone will be there he says. Blah blah blah

    Long story short 1030 pm rolls around. No one showed up!
    I called a friend, he helped me out.

    PSE&G has the worst customer support. They’re rude and don’t give any time frame when they will show up. And they might hang up on you. I’ll report them to BBB tomorrow. Might see if the local news wants to expose them. Charlatans!!! First time I’ve used that word. Nice! Nice !

    FYI: if you need anything from them. Report a gas leak or an emergency. All of sudden they become available. That’s what I hear anyway. I Didn’t do that!!!

    Also, in most cases you go outside your residence to flip a breaker… I know I know duhhh But I didn’t think it would be that easy.

  4. Do you have a chart that lists how much power is used by a TV set, computer, air conditioner, etc on an individual basis?

    Does having a TV on all day increase the air conditioner’s operation(go on and off) more often?

  5. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Its pathetic that their customer service representives treat the customer that way. I am caught up in the thrawls of the current unemployment situation. Even though I told them I was unemployed, they were requesting payment from me. I said how can I pay for the service if I have no money coming in. That’s when it dawned on them, duh. Told them that I applied for energy assistance in October 2013. So that’s when they wanted documentation that I was unemployed. So I provided the proof, faxed everything over. Every time I call the third party agency, oh, its still processing. Why does it takes so long for the agency to step in? Even though I provided the proof to collections, I don’t trust them.

Then i asked who she was it was obvious she didn’t care that i was going to make a complaint against her just by here tone.Absolutely ridiculous. Also while waiting on hold i was subjected to music that was the one song used the F word at least 10 times just inappropriate

  8. I have a request to relocate my GAS Meter because it is on the way for a RENOVATION for my residence, the request was made over 6 wks
    ago, and the WORK ORDER # is 883 801 92
    I am being told that the field techs in charge of relocating the meter are not responding to the office request.
    THIS IS A VERY POOR CUSTOMER RELATION, I HAVE BEEN WAITING AND THE PROJECT IA PUT ON HOLD BECAUSE OF THIS.
    I AM VERY DISSATISFIED.

  9. I leave on 18th in Irvington and over a month ago Pseg were in a manhole and digging holes. I was told by the man directing traffic that they would be finished by Monday no later than Tuesday. I can’t get out of my driveway because the manhole has a pipe in it, cones around it and sitting in the middle of the street. They took away parking by my house so my company has to park up the hill and walk down. I am having a party so now my company will take parking place that my neighbors use. When is Pseg going to move this mess and fix the so called problem under ground?

I am an 88 year old recently blind senior and I found your customer service is useless, I called 6/13 for repair service on my central a/c covered by my service agreement, serviceman schedule to arrive 6/14 12pm-4pm, called to see if there was any indication of what time he would be arriving and was coldly told there was no way of knowing that, however received a call to tell me he was backed up and would arrived late, this did not make sense to me after being told there was no way of knowing what time he would arrive, he did not have part needed for repair on his truck or in shop, he then informed me he would be back Monday (6/16) or Tuesday (6/17). Only after I called on Monday 6/16 did I learn that the part needed was on order and would be notified when it came in. Due to the overwhelming heat and extremely restless sleep I called in the AM Tuesday 6/17 to learn that part had arrived by an extremely impersonal automated device & then proceeded to ask me if I would like to schedule an appointment I was under the impression someone would be out immediately to install new part. The most immediate time was late in the day 4pm to 8pm. At approximately 5:20 pm I spoke with an extremely impersonal uncaring “Customer Service” representative who really did not care that an 88 year old senior was suffering from the heat and just proceeded to inform me that there was nothing she could do to get someone here sooner than the window already scheduled. I informed her that if anything happened to me due to this extreme heat there would be a lawsuit pursued, she did not care what so ever. This type of Customer Service is definitely unsatisfactory. I am writing this at 6:30 pm Tuesday 6/17 and yet still no repairman or communication as to a possible arrival time. THIS IS DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!

  11. Requested (3 times)that a tree at 244 Highland Ave. River Vale be trimmed as it’s branches reach across the street in front of 237 Highland and are inches above the power lines. I was told the electric department would trim. This has not been done. Please take care of the matter

  12. I have had a Worry-Free contract for a long time and it was the best thing i ever purchased.
    The service men who service the units have all been gentlemen and eager to do a good job. To-day Vincent from the Summit area serviced our air conditioning and did an almost impossible job of replacing the wiring to the condenser . It is now working like a charm .A big thank you to all those hard working men who do their best always.

  13. I was wondering why when the Pse&g came out on Monday
    to 57 Saint James Place to fix a gas leak in the street
    in front of 57 Saint James Place and it was a DEAD SQUIRREL
    in the street and they took the squireel and put it up
    aganinst my gate which I leave 58 Saint James Place having
    my house smelling like a dead animal.They should of put it in
    the garbage can or left it in the street. If they was going to
    put it up against my gate in front of my house. I don’t think
    that was necessary and then tried covering it up by throwing
    rocks and dirt which they dug up from the street. Yes I want to make a complaint.

  14. A contractor is excavating very close to the gas line in front of my house. The curb stop valve is not accessible because the valve box is full of dirt. Can anything be done about this? I’m concerned because if he ruptures that line there would be no way to shut off the gas. Thank you for anything you can do to help.

I spoke to a representative regarding my bill, and I already have my bank account stores in their data base but I told the representative not to charge me via debit account and I will get a money order and bring it to their office billing which is in New Brunswick. The guy must have lot been listening to me because he keeps interrupting me to talk to his friends and I told him don’t put the charge at my bank account that you have on file because I have the money order and i would like to know where the billing office was. This kid charged me., and gave me the address. But they cancel

I have spoke to pseg over three months now my mother is in a nursing home and was out of the apartment we still get bill even when someone else is now renting it they told me they where sending a finel bill in Dec and they did but it did not say finel. I hope someone reads this from Pse@g otherwise I will go further on this……

  17. I JUST CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY BOTHER HIRING PEOPLE AND PAYING THEM THEY SHOULD JUST USE AN AUTOMATED SYSTEM BECAUSE THAT IS THE TYPE OF RESPONSE YOU RECEIVE FROM THEM. THEY HAVE NO COMMON SENSE AND HAVE NO DESIRE TO FIND A SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM. THEY JUST REFER YOU TO DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS..IT SHOULD BE AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THE COMPANY THAT THEIR EMPLOYEES HAVE NO DESIRE TO HELP OR TAKE OWNERSHIP TO THE MOST SIMPLE MATTERS. ALL THEY DO IS REPEAT THEMSELVES..THE MOST FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE EVER I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW IT IS ALLOWED OR ADDRESSED..THEY ARE NEVER WRONG. THE BILL SHOULD HAVE REVERTED BACK TO THE OWNER WHICH IT DID NOT AND THEY TURNED OFF THE GAS ON THE COLDEST DAY IN JANUARY..FOR $85.00. THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE OUR ADDRESS ON FILE TO SEND BILL AFTER TENANT MOVED. IF SOMEONE HAD AN OUNCE OF COMMON SENSE THEY COULD HAVE FOUND US…SO FRUSTRATING THAT THIS IS ALLOWED TO CONTINUE.   18. Four years ago, I purchased a Navies tankless water heater from PSE&G(junk). two years later a flow sensor burned out and it took days to get repaired. Now two more years later, same problem,same error code, same part. I tried to explain this to customer service but after a couple of days waiting for a service appointment, the serviceman shows up saying they don’t carry Navien products and don’t carry the $24.00 (defective) replacement part. Wasted my vacation time waiting around for idiots to perform..

  19. Has the USA become officially bi-lingual? If one calls PSE&G, one is required to punch a particular number in order to get English. One would rather assume that in America, when when dials a Public Utility, one should automatically get a response in the national language.

  20. My air condition does not work so I made an appointment because I have worry free service. On the day of the appointmnet, nobody shows. Then when somebody does show, they are not able to go in my attic because of safety reasons. Why have your service. First no show and then cannot go in the attic.

  22. P.S.E.G is another company who seeks efficiency from its customers and yet are inefficient when it comes to their part in services rendered to put money in the pockets of their shareholders. Their online website is TERRIBLE!!! Whoever manages the website needs to figure out why it is difficult to sustain an account online when one can’t even log-in to their account? I have re-registered 4 times and still when I attempt to go into pay a bill, it will not long me in claiming the login failed. What is America coming to? Get it together!

  23. I just received a letter from Brendan McMahon telling me that a meter reader was at my house and had a close encounter with a bad dog and that this was safety situation for the meter reader.
    I assure you that there was no safety concern because no one has been at my house to read the meter in 8 months. I would gladly put the dog away if this person had rang the doorbell. Since I work, no one was home for this close encounter to have happened.
    Mr. McMahon I did try to contact you at the number you provided the line was busy for 30 minutes. I would hate to think someone heard a dog from outside the house and just decided not to do their job. Words such as close encounter and bad dog are offensive. I assure you I am very accomadating. I would just like to make sense of this letter. I have had the dog for 10 years and there has never been an issue for those who actually walked into the house to read the meter. It certainly can’t be an issue for someone who has never been in my home at all.

    • I just received the same letter. My situation is very similar. I, nor my dogs have ever seen a meter reader since we moved in here; and it has been six months. All I can think of is that the meter reader heard barking? Also, the number provided has been busy for a day now.

  24. I’ve always been happy with PSE & G! In fact whenever that other company calls and does their speil, I hang up on them. My question/problem is:I’m moving to Stafford Twp. The house is electric heat and I want to convert to Gas. I need an estimate (of course) of how much it would cost? Hoping, of course you guys service down there. I’m not getting any luck with any other company down there! Please help.

  25. Had an appointment between 4pm-8pm on June 22, 2015 to check the A/C. He came @ 5:30pm without calling ahead of time as the have done since 2003. He just left a yellow sticky on the front door that he was there and I was not home. I called PSEG immediately at 6:30pm and spoke to a supervisor JOHN who was very arrogant, condescending and self important.
    The tech will now come again between noon & 4pm on June 23rd. I will not let the matter drop but I will call the executive offices tomorrow located in Newark, NJ. The professional courtesy has much to be desired! The supervisor would not let me talk to someone else and I found out that there are several on duty.

  28. This is the worst customer service system I’ve ever encountered. Been Holding on for over one hour finally got a rep and told her my son, the account holder passed away on 31 July 2015 and that I had contacted PSEG and supplied a death certificate. Customer service rep was VERY rude. Is this anyway to run a business?

  29. I have been without power in my 3br apt for almost 6wks. I have tried at least 7 agencies to help me with my bill ($4500) I also have 3 school-aged children one of which is disabled,had doctor’s forms faxed to your office, nobody is willing to help me I’m on a fixed income and live in low-income housing. Social services and DYFS has turned me down its no way I can continue to live like this any longer. Please e-mail myself and give me more options I don’t know who else to contact.

Most insensitive group of rabbits I have ever known, the supervisors are just as unprofessional as the customer service reps and they never wanna give u their bosses info spoke to one ratchet buttocks supervisor named Yo lands she was super ghetto and so mean and insensitive she probably lives in the projects is why she is so mean. However I’m gonna complain every chance I get , they are over charging for everything and never give discounts, I’m just tired of the unprofessionalism and cold black hearts of the workers.

  33. At least two weeks ago, I had contacted PSE&G via telephone. Unable to speak to an actual live individual. Only recourse was to indicate a response for the VOICE MAIL Representative. Our GOAL was to alert Public Service that a street light on the corner of Stratton Street North and Raven Avenue Piscataway NJ; Pole Number: 63023PC was not operating for a couple of weeks. It was hoped that the VOICE MAIL Representative would forward the Burnt-out Street Light notification to the appropriate department, so it may be replaced. As of last night, Sunday, November 08, 2015, the street light remains dark. I’m upset, very much so, for 1. Unable to speak to a living representative and 2. No appropriate action by PSE&G has been done to assure a safe environment for its customers. 🙁 Bill Kover

  34. PSE&G manhole with Cover is located on the sidewalk in front of my home in Jersey City. The manhole is collapsing. I contacted them three months ago, and the only thing PSE&G has done is place rubber traffic cones on the site. The Manhole is right in front of my driveway. I have spent hours on the phone with various individuals from PSE&G. Nobody is doing anything. All PSE%G customer Service representatives should have a PSE&G ID to give for cuatomes to use for reference purposes to document their calls!

  37. We are in our 3rd power outage in a matter of 1 month. Service is absolutely terrible. Can never ever speak with a representative. Maybe by the time they receive this message we can read their response…or not. I won’t get my hopes up too high. I’ve lowered my expectations of them. Literally when you say someone got dressed in the dark, I am living proof. Their service is poor at best.

  38. Had a fallen tree situation many hours ago. Cleanup took several hours and still after 8pm, no sign of PSE&G. Have been told they are too busy. Too busy that you don’t have enough technicians? Never heard of such malarkey. Not even sure if they will show up this evening. Most likely they won’t show and we’ll have entire evening or so without power. Sad that there are numerous elderly people and families that have young children. I wish PSE&G would get their act together and get on the ball. Seriously, they need to step up and do their jobs. They are a service industry and need to service their paying customers. Does everyone without power this evening get a credit for not having service? We are all unsatisfied paying customers and we should all receive credits towards our next billing period. Let’s get on the ball people. This incompetency is ridiculous and totally unacceptable.

  39. Just as I expected, no power or progress yet. We live in Haddon Township. I totally understand unforeseen emergencies but not to get a handle on the problem is just unacceptable. If PSE&G claims they are so busy, they need to seriously come up with business plan to hire more trained service workers that can be dispatched in emergency situations. An entire neighborhood without power for more than 12 hours is indeed considered an emergency situation. People have sumps not working which can cause flooding. There’s food spoilage and not to mention…no heat on a cold winter night. Will anyone be compensated? You hope with today’s technology and highly trained skilled service technicians, PSE&G would have better service. Not to mention our neighborhood had 3 power outages In one month.

  41. I am ever so grateful to have utility service. It is a sure blessing. I’ve paid the full amount due for months on end now. However, this is going into the second year now that PSE&G has not returned my deposit. This is totally wrong that the company uses my money and for this length of time. I need the money and it should be returned. dll

After my clothes dryer drum seal was repaired ( 3 service calls needed–first one ordered wrong seal part)—today –months later I get the same part delivered by UPS for the one that was already repaired months earlier. As a continued share holder in PSEG multiple times over many years, even though my repair part was small, I wonder about repair part error costs made on a company-wide scale.
    This also happened on my Fisher Paykel dish drawer washer a number of years ago when additional unneeded motors were sent and the repairman told me “Just keep them”. I did not, and they were returned on the next worry free visit.

  43. ++About a year or more you had comfort partners come out to my home and did some repaires to my roof and the job the did was not proffestional the roof leaked in to my den in the ceiling I had brought them back and the said foam so the that is the way it is supposed to be done, the boards they nailed down were not flat so water can get in the bottom, now my ceiling has to be painted over, in the back of the house the sofet the patched the wholes with foam so the rodants would not get in, they ate there way through that. please have someone come out and examine this.

  44. Why have an Outage Center or Map if it’s not realistic? Our entire neighborhood is out, yet the map says less-than-5 outages, nowhere near my street. A 30 minute wait for a human when calling. ETR of noon tomorrow, and that’s what was quoted 4 hours ago with no update since. Power went off well after the bad weathet had passed. Cropwell Road, Cherry Hill. Ridiculous.

  45. I made an appointment for July 5th at 12 midday to have my boiler cleaned. It is now 12:54 pm and no one has arrived. My phone call to check IF they are coming results in “the lines are busy” and “call later” so no satisfaction there. I cancelled an appointment for this!

  46. This is my first call to PSE&G since I moved to NJ in 1996. All I can say is THANK G-D! Now that I have looked over all these reviews I can’t believe they can get away with this. I have been holding for 30 minutes and someone just answered and I am now being transferred to the replacement department. I guess I will need to wait another 30 minutes. Someone should initiate a class action suit. I will definitely join in. I am also going to find out which NJ watchdog group has some power over this pathetic company. They have no problem cutting off service for some people that have legitimate cause. Our rates keep going up and we have to be insulted and demeaned at the same time? Horrible way to treat people. I am going to do all I can to stop this practice and treatment of customers. A private company would have been out of business in a short period of times.

  47. I have a complaint regarding how PSE@G takes care of business at least with me. I have asked several times over the last few years to have a device placed on my meter in order to be able to read my meter without the issues of having to walk through bushes and locked doors. Today is the third time this year I’m waiting at home for someone to read my meter and put the device on. I’m facing a $1000 dollar bill because of estimates and I can’t take it anymore. And the company will not work with me considering my budget, I’ve just gotten back to work on May 2 from a temp disability and twice within a year I had to give them a deposit. The house I live in has a history of electrician problems once in 2014 we had to have an investigation done for both family bills, it turned out that we were on our neighbors line and they were on ours. Last year when my neighbors had their lights turned off my water heater was also off. The landlord told me my heater was on their line, I can’t afford to move right now basically I can hardly afford to stay. But at least I would like to know what I’m actually using in electric and they will not cooperate. My last reading was 7/18 my mom and I took turns staying in the front room our living room . No one rang the bell, knock on the door or window, we live on the first floor. I have a sign in my window that clearly says for McRae ring bottom bell. On the 19th of July I found out that my gas meter was read, that’s because there is a device on it. So that meant the person just rode or walked past the house and never came close to the door. This type of service sucks.

  59. Worry Free? What a joke. I’ve had this service on my boiler, ac, & water heater for quite a few years now. Had small leak on boiler and also needed to fire it up and clean it out for winter. First of all the leak on the boiler they wouldn’t cover. I have HomeServe for water lines & they said it was a boiler issue. Called PSE&G back & they still refused to fix it. I cancelled all of my so called Worry Free garbage and swithed to HomeServe. Everything is covered and it’s also cheaper. I was paying that crappy Worry Free for nothing. They take your money but won’t honor it. Be careful & read the fine print. Lesson learned.

  60. So frustrating! I called last month to be put on a payment plan. The lady set up an agreed amount and said if $100 down payment was made, it would be set up. Paid the $100 and there’s an outrageous “balance due” on the next bill. She never put me on the payment plan. Not to mention, calling back resulted in another 20 min wait for their mistake!

Just received my letter from demolition dept Had a unsafe condition it took over two weeks the service and attitude from your departments is a disgrace they are the most uncaring unhelpful people I ever dealt with If these people worked for themselves they would be out of a job they should be fired This is a prefect example of why our country struggles to be number one They should be trained by south jersey gas company who were unbelievably efficient helpful and courteous they competed their demolition in two days and issues letter of disconnect I prey for the day PSEG gets competition or even piece workers them the employees will get a reality check on life

  62. I have a contract with PSEG, made a call for no heat, tech came, checked our unit and told us it could not be repaired, we need a new heater. Another tech came 1 hour later with an estimate for a new unit $ 8136.00. I called my plumber, he repaired it for $525.00. Why do I carry a service contract with you when I can not get the correct service??? I was not given the proper advice or service which cost me money and I feel PSEG should reimburse me for my expenses due to a contract that was not followed by your employee.

  63. I moved out of my old address August 2017and received a final bill which covered Sept 2017 and Oct 2017 at that address. I requested an investigation and there has been no response. Since moving to my new address, I have called PSEG out every couple weeks since I moved in, because of gas leaks. On one occasion they needed to dig up the yard to replace their old pipes. My gas bill has increased by $200 every month, but the heat doesn’t work in the home and there are still gas leaks. I again asked for an investigation. still no response. but they have threat to turn my gas and electric off unless I pay the bill that I have asked them to investigate because it is inaccurate. I have also told them I applied for assistance and am just waiting for completion of the process. The customer service agent said there is nothing that can be done. I have sent them letters certified. still no response.

  65. Just waited 30 minutes on hold for the Storm Center after the recorded message said my call would be answered in 5 minutes. After explaining that one of the 3 wires between my home and the utility pole broke lose causing a big flash, and is now dangling between a rain downspout, the pole and my Electric meter causing power to go on and off in the house. I was told to expect a response by 10:00AM tomorrow. So we are trapped in the house until then? My concern is that the house is surrounded by snow /water and if the line hits the ground which is 6’ away would we be electrocuted if standing out there?

Clearly stating the earliest I could get home would be 3pm today and came home at 3 to find a note on the door you were here at 2:55, call to reschedule? There were NO trucks in my developement unless he speeded out in a 25mile zone?! Tried calling and Im getting a message only accepting emergency calls at this time? Why do you only have one number to answer all calls? I pay good money every month for my worry free contract and dont appreciate this kind of service. I wasnt even asked what kind of dryer I had. So when he finally does show up whats going to happen have to wait another wk or two for a part? People work, so rude to expect customers to rush home early for this.

  68. I have had some borderline experiences with PSEG techs. It seems that its the luck of the draw on who you get when you call. Happily, I just had an exceptional experience with PSEG service call. Some background, I had a problem with my furnace during the Riley power outage.my appliance person diagnosed the problem as a defective igniter. Since it is a costly part and since i have Worry Free coverage my appliance person suggested that i use my worry free coverage to repair the igniter. I called worry free. It was less than a couple of days from the call to when technician Fred Zomer showed up at my house. The guy was excellent, He diagnosed the problem in a few minutes. Even though the furnace was working when he arrived at the house when heard me say that my appliance guy had used sand paper on the old igniter he suggested that I replace the old part. The abrasive degrades the igniter. He ordered the part . He returned within a week or so to install the new part. He just left my house after installing the new part. I lucked out. This tech was excellent. I just signed up to have my ac unit covered by Worry Free service. I ever met this guy before and I am not his cousin or anything like

  71. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! Tree branch across their power lines and still waiting 7 weeks for someone to remove! Advised four (4) times would be done within two days of call and even after supervisor came out and confirmed they would need to remove its been three weeks since then and still no action. Unbelievable that the branch has not fallen and destroyed the power to my home. Last outage lasted two weeks as it was like watching the keystone cops. Needed overhead crew to flip the transformer switch and they sent out four times underground crews. I would laugh if I wan’t crying. PSE&G needs to get its act together especially when they claim someone will get back to you in a few days and its been dead silence ever since. Have they ever returned a call? Not to me! Today’s call to them was 40 minutes and still no resolution but someone will call me back in a couple of days. You got to love the power company!

  73. My mother in law called to discontinue her services at her previous address in Newark, NJ on April 1, 2018, but the representative neglected to put in in the system. Now she is being charged for April, May. and June, and to top it off whoever is living there had services done on their appliance and this is being charged to my mother in law. When I called the representative was rude to me when I told him that my mother in law left the country on 04/28/2018. I refuse to pay for something that should’ve been taken care off in April by your representative.

  74. I have to laugh at PSE&G.
    I’ve received two notices (first on 5/21/2018, second on 6/25/2018) saying meter readers have no access to my home to read the meters (two) and continue to give estimated bills.
    As instructed in the notices, I called 800-436-PSEG (7734). The recording says they are receiving a high volume of power outages in my area, call back another time. Both times I received the same recording. Checking the PSE&G power outage map online it shows no problems at all.
    Looked online at list of phone numbers, and called one entitled “Billing”. The nice lady said she would send me meter cards I can leave for the reader. Funny they can’t answer their phone because of “power outages” but someone can go around and tape a notice to my door.
    Several years ago PSE&G converted my furnace from fuel oil to gas. They did a fine job and it is saving me a ton of money – so all is not a complaint.

  75. There has been a broken pole on chimney rock road just south of rt. 28. PS has worked in the immediate area yet never addressed the pole. Pole # PS ?856BWT
    This pole has 2 transformers which feed Pep Boys. Only the wires appear to be holding up the pole. Pole broken for almost 2 years

  77. I’ve made numerous attempts this week to speak to with a representative. Unfortunately, it seems impossible to get a representative, due to an emergency situation or high volumes of calls. I actually, visited the West Orange office and addressed my complaint regarding my PSE&G bill. There is obviously a problem that I have been trying to have addressed since last summer. I was told that an investigator would be contacting me within 30 days. I have not heard anything from PSE&G since. I do not want time to go by as it did last year and nothing was done. It’s unfair that my bill is unreasonably high and much higher than any other tenant within the building….even, the ones that has 2 bedrooms up and down stairs. I’m not home that much during the summer and I have a 1 bedroom apartment. I was told last year not to turn off my central air when I go away because it cost more to power it back up. I followed the instructions this year….and yet, the bill has not reduced in no kind of way. It’s evident that there is a problem and no one is addressing it. I’m really at my boiling point….because, this is not the way a customer should be treated. I’m looking for help with addressing this issue.

New Brunswick PSE&G keep sending annoying reminders of payments to a bill which the Carinos are not responsible of the DISHONEST PSE&G worker who was sent out to the Carino’s request to remove a Meter Recording Gadget since the Carino do not need 2 meters in its one family home. It is not the responsibility of the Carino for that man who took advantage of the returned meter. The return Meter is because the Carino retired from its Oriental Store from 1972 up to 1998.

  79. Last week I called about a loose fixed neutral wire from pole into our house which we were told to do by a plumber working in our home who said there was a short. A service man came but did not inform us if the wire was repaired. The date was 10/10. We would appreciate knowing the wire is repaired. Thank you for your reply.

  81. On 12-17-18, PSEG, replaced my heater and outside air conditioner. The air conditioner is located on a path to my side door. The new unit i received now only allows me 12″ of space to pass in order to have access to my side door. When I spoke to the installer my concern was dismissed.
    This unit must be replaced with one that is an appropriate size. The path on the side of the house is average. The intrusive size of this unit is not only to large for the home, which is just under 1500sq’, but it will also have a detrimental effect on the homes resale value and ability to even sell the home.
