Official Website

Visit http://www.officedepot.com to register for a new account, shop for office equipment and supplies or contact Office Depotcustomer service. The contact and customer service pages on the site are different. Contact information is listed on the contact page, but customer service for a particular order is available on the customer service page.

Facebook and Twitter accounts for Office Depot offer a quick and easy means of contacting customer service without making a phone call or sending an email. Simply write on the company’s wall or send a tweet and wait for your response.

Customer Service Email

The Office Depot customer service department is available by email, but you have to send an email form https://www.officedepot.com/customerservice/customerServiceDisplay.doon the official website in place of sending a direct email.

When we sent our test email to the customer service team, we noticed a response in the upper left corner of the page that listed an alternative customer service phone number as 0844-412-1111. This phone number is NOT a US-based number.

Our Experience

If you press 0 when your call is first answered by the automated response, the system will recognize that you want a customer service agent. Press 0 again and the system will ask for your customer ID or business number. This system will repeat this request multiple times, but if you just wait the call will eventually be transferred to a customer service agent. Our call was answered in exactly two minutes even with waiting through the automated response repeated messages. The agent took our zip code and gave us the physical address of the nearest Office Depot.

  1. NEVER, NEVER TAKE YOUR COMPUTER TO OFFICE DEPOT FOR REPAIR. IT IS A SCAM. AND IT IS AN EXPENSIVE SCAM.

My computer would not hold a charge. I thought it might be a bad battery. I took it to Home Depot. They “checked it out” and said it was probably a power supply failure and they would mail it in for a complete check and repair or replacement of any bad components.
They said it would cost a flat $300 for all repairs (that included a $99 charge for packing and shipping). I should have known better. I made a big mistake. I let them do it (Order # 0279010842413). I will let everyone on my email list know about this scam and advise them to send emails to everyone on their email lists to NEVER GO TO OFFICE DEPOT FOR COMPUTER REPAIRS (OR ANYTHING ELSE). There are many other places to get what they may need.
My computer came back in about 10 days. The salesman said he had “checked it all out and it was ready to go”.
When I got home and tried to log on it wouldn’t accept my password. I took it back to Home Depot and they played with it about 20 minutes trying to log on. After waiting and watching them try different things, I told them to call me when they got it fixed and I went back home. I looked at the repair form from wherever they had sent it (central repair???) and it said only “replaced AC connector”. I talked to two computer repair shops. Both said that repair takes less than 15 minutes to replace the AC connector and less if it is just a solder repair. When I told them what I had paid, they couldn’t believe it. One said, “you might not want to take it back there if you have problems again”. I won’t. I’ll never go to Office Depot again and I will never reccomend them to anyone.
I got my computer back today and so far it is working. I’ve had a $300 lesson. Office Depot should be ashamed to hang a “WE REPAIR COMPUTERS” sign on their door.

  2. I HAVE BEEN HAVING CALENDARS MADE AT OFFICE MAX FOR 18 YEARS SINCE 1997. THIS YEAR THE TEMPLATE WAS DIFFERENT BECAUSE IT IS WHAT OFFICE DEPOT GAVE OFFICE MAX IN ELK RIVER. THE CALENDAR PART IS SO SMALL THAT THERE IS HARDLY ANY SPACE TO WRITE ON EACH DAY. ALSO THE QUALITY OF THE PAPER IS CHEAP. I NOW HAVE TO LOOK FOR A PLACE TO HAVE MY CALENDARS (ALWAYS 3 OR MORE AT ONE TIME) DONE THAT CAN DO A DECENT JOB. THIS IS JUST ONE EXAMPLE OF HOW OFFICE MAX WAS SUPERIOR TO OFFICE DEPOT. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT THAT OFFICE DEPOT HAS CONTROL.

  3. I am a small business who uses your company for my business supplies. I have never written a email to a company but thought this was necessary. I go to the Office Depot in my community (Big Bend Rd in St. Louis) and there is a very annoying loud beep going off in the store every few minutes. It certainly make my experience unpleasant.I once asked the manager what was that horrible noise and was told they had many electronics in the store that make that noise. I am going to be finding a new company to buy my supplies from. Thank you for your time.

  4. The most helpful employee I’ve encountered at store 2332 (Campus Ave, Upland, CA) has been Chris Giron, Copy & Print Depot Supervisor. He has helped me with both promotional and basic copy orders and has been attentive, patient, and welcoming throughout each transaction. In contrast, store managers have been the least helpful, typically curt in their interactions. Such interactions have lead me to avoid this store, shop less frequently or shop at alternate office supplies stores.

  5. On 2/20/18 I purchased a laptop and printer at your Stow, Ohio store. My CSM was Arnold Gusnev. I Was told the printer could be programed in the store to talk to the laptop and I could take it home, put in my WI-FI codes and I’d be ready to start work. I got a call from Daniel Penfound on 2/21/18 that my hardware was all programed and ready to be picked up. Upon my arrival at the store I found out that they had sold my printer to someone else and that they did not have any more printers for that price. I also was told my laptop was the display laptop. Of course, Arnold was not there that day. In my opinion, you need to fire that liar and deduct the price for the computer I refused to take from his final paycheck. WHAT A DOG!!!!! Do you have any idea what a jewel you have in Daniel Penfound? Honest, reliable people are a rare thing these days. That store sucks!! If you have any brains at all, you’ll promote Daniel to TOP MAN at that store and let him clean it up. I fully I intend to make it my mission to let everyone I know to stay away from that store. You may delete my rewards account. I tore your stinking card up!!!!!

  6. Cannot get an answer. Asked to talk with a supervisor but could not. Explained what happened twice and gave up.
Store clerk SCANNED my drivers license into the computer at the store — not just looked at it.
I ordered a $55 chair mat online to pick up. I paid for it. I bought a few things at the store. I paid for those. Then the clerk insisted that for security she had to SEE my drivers license. I think that is terrible store policy for $55 worth of anything. The clerk did not SEE my license. She SCANNED it into the computer. It’s got my license number, birth date, name & address on it. But not one person in the store could tell me why it was scanned. They kept saying “store policy” “security”.
This is not fine. This is not security. Perhaps your store employees are stealing the information from customers?
I am posting wherever I can, just how awful it is to be a customer at Office depot.
I have been a rewards member for over 20 years. Not any more.
I am treated a whole lot better other places & I always leave good reviews about those.

  7. I went to the Home Depot near me (that I have done to many times) to make a few quick copies. The copy machines are set up using a credit card. EACH copy took me 36 seconds to make ONE copy. I asked if there was a different way (had 21 copies to make). I was told “no”. So 21 copies took be almost 15 minutes. Not quick! I have a video showing how long each copy took, if you would like to see it.

When I got my receipt — I was over charged for taxes. I was charged at a rate of 12.95% (tax rate is 8.25%). I talked the manager “Bernard” but he did not seem to understand what I was saying. He said “I cannot do anything, Corporate sets the tax rate.” He didnt seem to understand what I was asking. I finally asked him if he knew what the tax rate in Arlington Texas is? He said I was disrespecting him (btw, he never answered me) and said I was a trouble maker and need to “get out of my store and never come back!”

Wow! Does his behavior what Office Depot wants a Manager to have? I still believe Office Depot owes me for overcharging taxes.

I must say, I am not happy with the Manager at the Office Depot on I-20 (in the Southwest Plaza). (I had several other items that I needed to pick up, but left instead when your Manager threw me out of the store).

    Just thought you should know.

  8. Hello,

I apologize up front for putting this on your plate, but as it is not a direct purchase by me I don’t know how I can get Office Depot to reimburse funds to my Adopt A Classroom account. There has been a failure to deliver an item I ordered on October 9th.
It has now been a month since I placed an order for the 18-inch wobble chair. I have contacted both Office Depot and Adopt A Classroom concerning the item not being delivered.
I would like to know if the funds can be reimbursed to my Adopt A Classroom account. It seems that no new information has been acquired on the whereabouts of the wobble chair since my last inquiry.
I would ask that the item is reordered and tracked or refunded to my account.

Thank you so much for any help.
    Kind regards,
    Chris

Order # 216233471-001 has not been received yet. Could you please give me an estimated delivery date?
    Thank you for your help.

  9. At about 6AM Thanksgiving day I attempted to place an order for a desk chair that was promoted on your site at a considerable discount. In filling out the order I was informed on line that the address was not coming up as recorded. This was because it is a new apt. complex. All other on line sites ask you affirm it is in fact correct. Your on line form offers no option to do so and does not allow one to proceed. I called your “help” line. After one hour of lengthy repeat discussion, poor connection and an agent who had no familiarity with your discount policies, she assured me of placing the order. May I tell you that while both product and price were seemingly great, the ordeal of placing this order will not encourage me to shop your chain anytime soon. Aggravating, frustrating, ill informed outsource agent, poor site design, etc. made this a Holiday Horror Show. Jay Forbes
