Contacting LabCorp Customer Service Center

LabCorp is a specimen collection and processing company that works with doctors and employers for medical and drug testing. You must visit your doctor for a lab slip or lab order before visiting the LabCorp office. In some cases the doctor’s office will collect the specimen in office and deliver the specimen to LabCorp for testing. Some medical test results are available online after patient registration, but others are reported directly to the physician. The availability of online medical records may differ by state.

Our Experience

LabCorp customer service is known for long wait times, so we decided to test it out. When the list of options started we pressed 0 to skip the options and speak with a representative, but that only restarted the list. After pressing 1 for patient, we were asked for an invoice number. Not all customers will have an invoice number when they call so we chose to wait to see if the call would be transferred. After asking three times, the call was finally transferred. We were placed on hold just after one minute and the customer service representative did not pick up the call until 3:37. Not the worst wait time in history, but certainly not the best.

  1. I have been treated at your Boynton Beach, Fl. Jog and Woolbright office a number of times. Today I waited an hour and 20 minutes because you have one employee there to do everything. She has been running the site for at least 3 months and goes above and beyond for the patients. I don’t see how this can continue. It is by far not fair to her, nor is it fair to the patients that rely on this facility. You have an excellent employee that is being taken advantage of. I will continue to use the facility but will not recommend it to anyone else because of the way you choose to run your company. I hope something can be done for this very nice young lady.

  2. Labcorp is the most frustrating company to deal with. On March 1, 2015, I used the local labcorp (Rancho Santa Margarita CA) to have a blood test for a possible infection. One week later, March 9, 2015, upon calling the drs. office (a week later), was told that the lab results had not been sent in by the lab. I made a special trip to the lab, that had no information for me and was given a tele. number for customer service that was a wrong number. Who would be able to tell me whether on not the blood test was sent to the dr? I have spent so much time just trying to get this info. This has been a very time-consuming frustrating experience!

  3. The first time that I went I had problems with the staff at the Lomita location. They were very unprofessional. The woman acted like she needed some Prozac. Had to wait hours. I decided to try a different location in Carson on Avalon. They were worse than the Lomita location. I went back a second time to the one on Carson and found out that they had hired all new staff. It was a little better. Even though I had an appointment it was still a long wait. Today after fasting I had a 10 o’clock appointment with the Carson one on Avalon. They were not there. The door was locked. I went into the other office and the woman told me that they had moved. I did not get any kind of notice informing me that they had moved. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! SHAME ON THEM! I do not want to go back — I no longer trust them.

  4. I had lab work done on 9/6/17. My results are in, however, only MY DOCTOR can see them. I called Labcorp, and they told me that your policy is to wait 72 hours for me to see my results. I am the patient, had the lab work done, paid the bill, and now I can’t see my results?
Well my policy is that next month, I will visit another lab, where I can get my results immediately!!

  5. I visited Livingston, NJ labcorp this morning with my 10 year old daughter Kayla. She is petrified of needles and it is always a dramatic experience when labs have to be taken from my daughter. However, i am so happy to write this compliment for your staff this morning. the phlebotomist , Nelson was phenomonal. he explained everything he was about to do, he spoke kind words and was not intimidating at all . I am a hard critic since i am a nurse and i was so thankful he made my daughter feel less afraid and i was thankful all labs were completed. just wanted to take the time to compliment your staff in a world full of complaints there are those who deserve to be thanked.
