Contacting Kia Customer Service Center

Kia is a car company founded in the mid 1940s in Korea. The company started out small, developing single passenger trucks, but soon production expanded to include larger vehicles. The first exports were sent in 1975. The company eventually merged with Hyundai and became a substantial name in the inexpensive import market.

When we researched Kia customer service we were surprised to find a wealth of contact information for Kia Canada, but little for Kia USA. The USA website for Kia makes customers search page after page to find something as simple as a customer service phone number.

to leave a comment about your customer service experience.

Visit http://www.kia.com for information on the latest styles, financing and customer service. The Kia customer service side of the business, however, is less than appealing. Customer Service Email

We were able to find a Kia customer service email address on an outside website. We are testing the email address to see if it actually connects customers with the support department.

Customer Service: info@kia.com– We tested this email address and it does NOT work. If you find this email address listed on any website it is NOT valid.

There are a number of email forms http://www.kiamotors.com/contactus.aspxlisted on the Kia corporate website. These forms direct customer emails to specific departments like After Sales and Media Inquiries. We tested the Kia USA email system and we were highly disappointed. You have to register and you can send only ONE email per day to the customer service team.

If you want to contact Kia Canada by email, visit http://kia.ca/pages/company/contactus.aspx and choose the category for your contact.

Our Experience

You can skip the beginning message on the Kia customer service line by pressing 0. You will be taken to a list of options. Do NOT press 0 unless you need roadside assistance. Press 3 for customer service then enter the extension if you have it. Press 1 for English and then press 0 to reach customer service. While the beginning of the call was extremely confusing, we managed to reach an agent in less than two minutes.

  1. I bought a 2011 Kia Sorento in April of 2010. It is now December of 2012 and my car has had problems starting three times in the last two weeks. We’ve had it towed to the dealership twice and everything checkers out fine. This is getting to be a REAL inconvenience. We live an hour away from the dealership and it is a pain to have to travel to pick up my car when no one can find anything wrong. I love the look and drive of my car but am seriously considering trading it in because I am afraid of what will happen after the warranty runs out. Kia you really need to fix this problem ! Not a happy camper, Annie Blan

    • If you have remote start installed you may find that it is what is causing the problem. If the engine turns over but it won’t start, try starting it with the remote. Mine has done that once in a while. It seems there is a conflict between the after market remote and the computer.

  2. On August 21,2012 i bought a 2013 Kia Soul based upon the stickers fuel information, paid $21,521.40 in full for it,have yet to get close to the fuel economy on sticker. As of today the car only has 1874 miles on odometer since purchase, because i cant afford the poor gas mileage it gets.So a new car i was depending on to do what i needed based upon Kias Souls ratings sits in the garage instead. As far as i am concerned its a gas hog lemmon.Kia sent me a reimbursment letter concerning the poor fuel economy, which they admitted to and are calling an “error”,they want to give me $39 to supplement lost fuel costs. What a slap in the face getting that letter was,i deserve a refund as this was no simple “error”…to me this was false advertising that has been allowed to continue to make sales!!! As far as i am concerned, the Kia company has ripped me off and i think they should be held responsible to rectifying this situation!!!

    • Bogus compliant. The error stated was 3%. Or about 1 mile per gallon. The Soul is great vehicle. Perhaps you need to have the dealer advise you how to calculate mileage.

    • I agree they have been doing more than just gas ripoff your tires are maypops thats why you were coaxed into the warranty for the tires because they cn fail at anytime my nephew work at a reputable tire shop and say kia tires are dangerous .then theres the lack of suspension and if you try to fix it they will void your warranty.the list goes on.

  3. I love my Forte SX. Gets mileage as predicted. Fit and finish is great. Performace is terrific. Very comfortable and steady on the road. Compared with Ford Focus before I purchased. Focus is a terrific car except for the transmission. It is a bit jerky. Forte is velvet smooth. The things I love most are the bluetooth system and the remote start. So far no problems.

  4. Bought my Kia 2012 Soul 1 year ago – Love it – However, I did feel it was a little wanting on the gas mileage but oh well….. and the company is reimbursing me, at least I hope they are. The dealership did all the paperwork regarding the reimbursement (which you get yearly by the way) and that was back in December – haven’t seen anything yet. Other than that the only mishap happened the other day when I started to take off for work, put my foot on the brake and it sounded like I was carrying 4 tons of steel under my car – forward and reverse gears. Car had to be towed to a dealership far from where I am staying, waited 6 hours there while they had it up and down and for test rides trying to figure out what it was. Turns out there was rust on the rail rotors and it had to be scraped off. I asked what would have caused that after only a year. I was told water!!! uhhhhhhhhh……cars drive through water all the time and after a year I would have rust????!!!!! They insisted that was the answer – okay……but that was a little puzzling to say the least – car is working well again. Yeah!!!

  5. Bought my Kia Sorento October 2011 in preparation for my first child and have been rather disappointed in the purchase. I have been in the shop at least 9 times. Repairs like a couple of wiring harness, remote start and now a fuel sensor (check engine light) 5 days after my annual service. I was mislead to believe that buying this new car would be a solution to my reliability problem with my previous car.

  6. I bought a kia sorento two days ago under the impression it had a third row seat was checking it out yesterday to find no it doesnt…..the dealership said pretty much im out of luck. I told them im bringing it back unless they knock my down payment off. Im very disappointed in this dealership

    • The tactics at schemes at Luther Kia of St. Cloud (Minnesota) has horrible service just as you put here. They promise, promise, promise and do not come through. My daughter was lied to by the salesman and pushed into buying a $33,000 USED Kia Sorento. She is 21 years old and a college student! She was promised the paper work would not be processed so she could talk to her bank after she was promised by a salesman a specific payment (he banked there also) and when she called the next day to say the info was incorrect and she was bringing the vehicle back, he said sorry, I already pushed the paperwork through. The vehicle is nice but this dealership took advantage of a young woman just starting out that has been financially stable. Pushed her into a 508.00 a month car payment and says well at least you will graduate college in 6 months and then can afford it!! Not to mention all of the other things that were promised such as remote start within 3 day (taking over 2 weeks, took her 2011 Chevy Cruze with a full tank of gas and gave her a vehicle on empty. But the most horrific using tactic and schemes to convince her to buy a vehicle AFTER she told him she could not afford that and then promised her that her bank would match her previous 2.9% interest rate and drop her payment to an affordable range. There is just to much to list of the lies and schemes. DO NOT EVER BUY A VEHICLE FROM LUTHER KIA IN ST. CLOUD! THEY LIE ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND DO NOT HAVE THE BEST INTEREST OF THIER CUSTOMERS IN MIND!! It is time to take a stand against shady dealers and thier lying salesman (who also thinks Kia is on the same “level” as Cadillac. Luther Kia of St. Cloud, You are an EPIC FAIL at customer service!

  7. Preparing to buy a new SUV. Saw the new 2014 Sorento 4 cylinder LX FWD. Milage on the window sticker says 20 city 26 highway. The 2013 model whose weight is 200+ pounds more with the same engine is 21city 29 highway. How can this be. Less weight = less milage?
    Thank you Robert.

  8. Spoke with customer service for assistance with dealership. There wasn’t empathy and basically they were unable to assist me. The last thing she said was your vehicle is outside of any warranty anyway.

  9. Not impressed with Kia customer service. They are expert at denial and refusal to acknowledge any shortcomings of their product. I have experienced the worst reliability of any vehicle I have ever owned! Having a bolt shear off and the harmonic balancer end up on the skid plate over and over is just not acceptable!!! The Sorento is deadly!

  10. I too am very disappointed in my 2013 Soul. Heating/cooling system did not work from the beginning. Took it to the shop and they said they fixed it but it actly was worse. They got it right the second time. Drivers window does not seal well and whistles and slight amount of air gets in. After two tries they still say they don’t see a problem and say I’m hearing the wind in the side mirror. I have “rail dust” on front and rear wind shield. They have tried unsuccessfully twice to remove this. I have had the car four months. Gas mileage is abysmal. All in all I am so disappointed and don’t know how to get my problems fixed.

  11. I’m not to happy at all with my brand new Kia Soul it rides like a piece of Korean garbage.I have several pieces of metal in my back and if it the ride continues to destroy my back I will be in court over this with your company for building a substandard vehicle. You need to fix this.

  12. I have tried to find a valid way to send a email to someone at KIA that gives a dam and no luck. No one replys. My 2003 KIA optima airbag system keeps failing, had it serviced 6-7 times. 1-2 years it fails again. Now out of warranty dealer says KIA won’t cover it even though problem never fixed correctly.

  13. Hi my name is bill travis, in 2010 I bought a kia optima it had 15000 miles on it and and paid 6000 dollars for it. It was the deal of the half centry Ive been buying cars. I loved and took very good care of it, changed the oil every 5000 miles and a few minor repairs to it. The car just turned 111000 miles and ran and drove as good as the day I bought it. I told everone I met off and online how these are the best cars I have ever owened. That all changed on 5/31/2010 when I passed through a toll both in Penn. The car died leaving the toll booth, so I pulled over to the side of the road and called triple A and told them to take it to the nearest kia dealer. They did and when I got to the dealership they told me it was the timming belt that broke, so I told them to repair it. What I heard after that shocked and made me so mad I thought I was going to die.
They told me that when the timming belt goes the pistons go up into the valves and ruins the whole motor and I would have to buy a new motor. I said you have too be kidding me. They said I have to change the timming belt every 60000 miles. The car didnt have a mannuel when I bought it and have never heard of this before, even when I have had my car to the dealer several times through the life of the car and was never told this. The last time was at 75000 miles. I think if kia does not help me out, I might have a law suit.
I cant believe that they have warnings all over there cars and the one that protects the most important part isnt on it. Why dont they have under the hood in big letters, WARNING CHANGE TIMMING BELT EVERY 60000 MILES OR YOU WILL HALF TO BUY A NEW MOTOR! But they dont tell you this till your broke down and have to have a car to get home or to work and make it so you have to buy a motor or another car. I think this is the worst way to keep us fixing and buying new cars I have ever heard. I loved my kia and thats why I took such good care of it, if I knew I had to change that belt it would have been changed. I ve had other cars in the past break timming belts and it cost 150 dollars to repair them why If this happens now when techknowlegy is so advanced how could this problem now cost you a whole motor 2000 to 4000 dollars. Something has to be done about this. Please help me out here or I will have to take back all the great things I have said about your cars off and online.
    censerly; bill travis

  14. I purchased my vehicle at University Kia in Alabama. Kevin Mok was an EXCELLENT sales person. I had some paperwork issues and he took care of it himself. I am appreciative that he took an angry customer (myself) and made me a happy Kia owner. Thanks for your effort and work. I hope to drive my Kia for many more miles to come.

  15. Gas got into the catalytic converter. Had to replace the injectors, coils. Still run poorly. Took it back to Dealer, they say there is nothing wrong. Mileage is 5 to 6 gallons off.

  16. Until recently I owned a 2008 Kia Sportage. I finally gave up dealing with the horrible service at Berlin City Kia located in Williston, Vermont. I never really had much of an issue with the vehicle itself, but the people at that location are more worried about trying to get more money out of the customer than providing great customer service and focusing on customer retention. I traded my Kia in for a new vehicle and will never give my money to Berlin City Kia again. Again, the Kia product has not been the problem. I think that someone would like to know that these people are the face of your product and they are doing an awful job when it comes to service.

  17. I have a 2011 sorento. I go in for the regular scheduled service to make sure I do my part in keeping the car in good working condition. After one month I needed the entertainment system fixed I hadn’t used ur more than 3 times. Again another repair on it a year later. Recently I had the full 30 thousand mile service done along with brakes and oil change. $1000 later and after one day my battery is dead. I had it charged and two days later dead again. Seems odd to me that right after service the battery dies. I again needed roadside service and a hang up from the Kia service person. When I arrived I was told I needed a new battery. The car us not even three years old. The danced around the issue and gave no reason for the obviously defective battery. Another $200 and two days of missed work. I am ready to sell this car gof fear of what the next issue will cost not to mention all the inconveniences.

  18. I find it odd that you can manage to write more here than in any contact email that I have found, please fit all complaints into a nicely worded 1000 character email.
don’t buy a kia, the manufacturing is shoty at best, customer service is definitely lacking… and I would like to CONTACT SOMEONE….god is it that hard to post an email that people can actually email you. how frustrating is this. any help anyone
    ???

  19. Every since I have the Sportage, I have nothing but trouble with it. The 1st year when it got cold, I had ice inside my windshield. The dealership guy, told me to drill holes in my door seal. That summer I had tar leaking from inside my doors. The guy at the dealership said, He has never seen that before. He told to get some cleaner and clean kit up. You never had honored your warranty. All I got was excuses. I now got around 85,000 miles on the Kia and my anti lock brakes module has gone bad and my TMPS light is coming on. So what is the deal, does your company just like ripping people off. I have never had such bad service and such a bad vehicle in my life. I will never buy another Kia. It is the worst Auto makers in the World. Don’t trust! BEWARE !!!!

  20. Customer Service
On July 29, 2013, I purchased a 2014 Sorento . Shortly after when it rained, I noticed that all four doors leaked water. The water pooled on each of the door sills. I took it in to the dealership and informed him of the issue. I used a spray bottle of water and demonstrated how it leaked in the left rear door. I also informed him that all four doors did the same. I even showed him pictures that I took of the pools of water on each sill after it rained. I felted that the issue was caused by faulty rubber door seals. The dealership replaced the left rear seal, but not the others. I was told that they couldn’t get the others to leak. However, I left the car for a few days and it rained one night. I emailed the service manager and asked him if he had checked my vehicle for water leaks. He informed me that he had and that it had indeed leaked. But he also told me that he checked a couple other Sorento vehicles and they had leaked too. He sent me some pictures and informed me that the leaks were normal for these vehicles.
I cannot understand that a major auto manufacturer would think that the leaks are normal. If so, then it is poor quality. When I decided to purchase a new vehicle, I had decided to either purchase a Ford Edge or a Kia Sorento. I am now having second thoughts about purchasing the Sorento. I think some poor quality has been built into the vehicle. I think I should have purchased a different vehicle. I thought Kia was making some progress in producing quality vehicles, but now I don’t think so. I think the door seals need to be redesigned for a tighter fix. Surely, Kia can engineer out this problem . Perhaps, Kia should try the Continuous Improvement Process.

  21. My name is a HYUNKYUNG KIM CHONG.May 31, 2014 was our first visit to Ed Volyes Kia in Chamblee, GA. We took a test drive vehicle for one day because the salesperson told us to take it home. The next day, he texted me to change the schedule of the return date. The reason the salesman changed the date from June 1, 2014 to June 2, 2014 was because he himself was not available. On the day of our second visit, June 2, 2014 I negotiated a price and decided to buy the car. However, the new car was not available at the moment, so the salesperson casually told us to take the same test drive vehicle home until then. If I had known that taking this vehicle home was in replace of our purchased car, we would have just taken our own car back home instead. On June 4, 2014 I called the man telling him I wanted to exchange the car from black to white before claiming it and he said it was not possible. I told him I did not want to buy a car I am not satisfied with. I let them know I would return the test drive car, but the salesperson said the manager was not available until the 7th so he told us to keep the car until then. We went back on June 7, 2014 extremely unsatisfied. They told us they were actually able to exchange the black car to the white car, but the white car had more than 4000 miles already on it. I wanted a new car not a used car. So unsatisfied, I asked for a refund, but they said they were unable to process it because the vehicle we had purchased was already loaned by the bank. It would have made more sense if they processed our payment the day we actually claimed our vehicle. However, we have yet to claim the vehicle and NEVER took the purchased vehicle home. Until this day, we have been constantly emailing them and calling them, but they have yet to respond.  Also, we gave them the copy of the signed contract paper but they never returned it to us. This is an utter disappointment.

  23. We just left Charleston S.C. KIA dealer with one of the strangest meets to buy a used or new KIA ever. After I didn’t agree to pay their retail pricing on a fully loaded USED Sportage and the negotiation went to “what are you willing to pay ? After I made my offer a KBB spread sheet was handed to me with a print out of options stating the vehicle is worth more than KIA is asking so we cant entertain your asking. (MY price was a good price offered)not laughable. After more haggling my wife says O’k then we will leave and think on it and then the assistant sales manager pops up out of no where?. He wants to know how we can negotiate and drops the used KIA out of further talking. I say lets talk about the NEW sportage? He says O’K I have a whole lot more room on pricing. He then leaves the table, when he arrives back his first words are alright whats your offer? excuse me” Did I not hear him say I’ll be back with a price you can buy with? So I asked what is his and its all but the sticker price? My gut goes I’m sorry but’ i’m waiting to feel good ….? Being confused and frustrated we leave this place feeling insulted and disappointed! We were ready to buy a car, we were ready to drive away in a KIA. With Cash! My wife loved the Sportage! all for her. We then leave. Feeling as if we were just underhanded.
Then my wife calls the salesman asking about Bluetooth and her contact list being in the KIA ,So I ask if the store sales manager can call me. He calls and starts with he doesn’t know anything about us leaving dazed and confused while we were the only ones in the showroom at the buying table. So when I ask him how could he not. He then recaps the scenario. He then try’s to place the blame on the salesman’s lack of experience. When I refused that, He then ducks and dodges and then attempts to blame me for getting angry. Which was a lie! SELL ME A CAR? I hope someone contacts me about this. KIA can change the way they view this, but they cant really because this is what it is and how it was. We ask them twice to let us think about it and was brought back to our offer and let us sell you a KIA. This place actually would make a statement and then say that wasn’t said? when I repeated word for word what was said, they changed the subject to something else? DUH !
We went to other dealers through out our shopping that day and never had any other dealer/sales managers act like this.

  24. In Connecticut we have a property tax on vehicles, leased or owned.
I traded my 2010 kia soul for a 2013 kia soul last July2013. Today I received
the tax bill for BOTH the old and new car. When I called Kia Finance to have this fixed, they told me I had to fix it since the dealer did not send the paperwork thru to change the ownership on the car I turned in.
I then spoke to a supervisor, hoping it would be understood; the error was Kia’s NOT mine. I asked the supervisor for his supervisor. He says he does not have a supervisor! I am now furious. I need someone with authority to fix this problem!

  25. I bought a 2014 Kia Sorento in April, 2013 – BIG, BIG MISTAKE – my dealership had to get my car from a dealership in mid-Illinois – but promised he would make sure car was just what we had bought – after we picked up the car – which was delivered to us on a Friday night after dark – we found a hole or opening on the inside of back side of car – cannot believe that no one found this FLAW from assembly to delivery – Also only after owning car for about three months came out to my unattached garage to find my car completely dead – keyless entry won’t not work and no one had told us there was a regular key inside keyfab – road assistance didn’t know either and had to break into my car – three times in the year I have had this vehicle the car for no good reason has not started – everything completely dead on car – I know how to turn things off when I exit my car – but have been completely insulted by both Kia and my dealership to the point that I will never have dealings with Raymond Kia in Antioch, Illinois – Kia has given me a case number but what good this will do since when I call them to check on the case they never answer or call me back.

  26. I bought a 2014 Kia Souls Aug.25 2014. Ready to leave the lot the salesman points out the rear trim round the panel on back door was gapped. the finance guy says we’ll fix that when it comes back from having moon roof put in. by the end of a week both had been done. I took trip to see daughter. Noticed upon coming back the trim was warping . Dealer fixed it,saying they placed some extra adhesive on the trim, they’ve been having problems with them and they have a replacement part coming in appx. 3 mths, if it happens again come in, we’l do the same, when the part gets in we’ll replace it for you. OK … SoI thought. A few days later its warping again, even worse. Now it extends appx. an inch out and is wavy all way across between spot swhere extra adhesive was replaced. So 3rd time back, the salesman, who’s been telling me all along don’t deal with Service deal with me, the car’s no good, it’ll always cause you problems, they need to put you in “another” car. We talked about this one being a Lemon, etc… So now he says let me talk to the “Guys” inside and see if we can get you into another one. So he takes the keys & off he goes.Ovber the next 5 hours I am bambusled…bombarded…pushed…etc., they wore me down. Finally it’s done Im going home. I sign papers and leave. Sister gets home & goes over paperswith me to find out…..They have Dismissed my orig.$11,000 CASH!!! Down Payment, I have been re-financed for a $21,000 car verses my $19,000 to begin with. Mthly Pymts gone from $193 to $296… And now have Latte rather than Black which I wanted to start with, but “Because of the HEAT the Black will Always do the same thing. Im now looking and really paying attention to that trim on every Soul I see in a Parking Lot to take notice, and Im pretty sure that the HEAT thing from the Salesman is a bunch of HOT AIR to MATCH…. So they say TOO bad, You signed the papers, you knew what was going on. There is NO recourse for you in this state, call any anttorney you like, it wont help you.No cooling off period in this state too bad… Knowing that the $ down came from an accident taht paid me a settlement, and knowing I am disabled, fought Cancer, twice, botched op that nearly killed me. An abusive husband that decided I shouldve died and didnt, the loss of my 2nd son less than a yr. ago, Even after after acquiring all this info., the Dealership Ripped me off $11,000. I am financing $21.000, not $10,000 I started with after the ins.,pape4rwork,dmv stuff.etc…@ 56 on a fixed income. They’re operatons are Unethical to say the least. And yes,my sister is going to help me fightthis as well asthe bank. Pray for us to overcome. Robin

  27. I bought a 2012 KIA in Oct 2011. 0n Sept 2014 my car stoped had to have it towed to KIA. Three wks after they worked on it,it stopped again, now KIA is saying i need a new engine and because of my poor maintance they will not replace it I will have to pay for it. I am still paying for my car I dont have $5000. 00 to pay for a new engine.

  28. I bought a kio rio 2005 did all the oil changes and had all repair work done when recommended, took it in to dealership last week and were told transmission was leaking, they checked it out and told us the bottom pan and side pan were completely rotted,my question to the dealership was why did none of the mechanics notice the rust starting when we just had the oil changed,I am still waiting for an answer,so will definitely never buy another kio and would never recommend one,

  29. I bought a 2006 kia sorento in 2012 and ever since it has been a problem for me. It consumes 50litres of petrol in about 25km. It has constant burning of brain box between january 2013 till date, I have bought 4 brain box and also the air flow meter. It has developed another problem which is when moving in the highway at about 120km/h, the car stops, the car will no long be supplying current to all parts of the car at that point there will be several explosion in the exhaust tail and after about 5 minutes the car will start to work and within that time the engine compartment will be heated up and the kick starter bendix and some wires will burn. At exhaust tail there will be liquid petrol coming out because of incomplete combustion and the spark plug will be wet. The kick starter burns about 2 times in a month. Please help me out so I can enjoy this car like others.

  30. Dear Kia,

I am attaching an email I recently sent to Covina Valley Kia. I think it is important for all businesses to know who is representing their products. However, I would like to make one comment that I notice there is not much mentioning of how you serve your customers. Isn’t service just as important as the product itself? Thank you in advance for your time.

“I would first like to say that I very much like the car we leased through your dealership. However, I have not been pleased with the service that has been provided since the purchase.
I originally did not want to get a black car, but it was the only one in stock that my wife was willing to drive away in. As you know black cars get dirty quickly and I did not want to have to pay for the extra expense of carwashes every week. When I signed the contract for the lease I was promised free car washes that would be completed in 30 minutes. The car washes I have received there are poor at best and take at least an hour with an appointment.
Second: I have brought the car in for 3 oil changes. Each time I brought the car in the drain plug was not completely tightened which left oil stains on my driveway, and also increases the risk of low oil and /or a lost drain plug. After the first incident I requested that the torque of the plug be double checked. As you already know the service dept. failed to do.
Third: When my wife took the car in for an oil change the third time we also needed the tires rotated. She did not have time to do both the tire rotation and the oil change. She had the oil change completed, and made an appointment for me to come back the following day (Saturday) for a tire rotation only. I brought the car in the next day and left it there. When I came back for the car I was charged for the tire rotation and an oil change. Before leaving I realized that my wife had already been charged for the oil change. I asked for the service man to refund the charge. That’s when he noticed that they did an oil change on my car on both Friday and Saturday. The appointment on Saturday was only for a tire rotation and the oil change should not have been completed. He said he would have to speak with his manager on Monday and “MAYBE” they could give me a credit. When I asked to speak with someone who had the power to refund my charge the same service person proceeded to refund my charge.
Fourth: The same day my wife was at the dealer getting the oil changed (in the above circumstance) she was speaking to a salesman at the front desk picking up her keys after the service. That’s when the same sales person who leased us the car (back in November/December) came up behind her and touched her inappropriately by placing his hand on the small of her back. This surprised by wife and made her extremely uncomfortable. The salesman standing behind the counter, who was helping my wife, stated to his coworker exactly these words, “Oh, so you can touch the customers now?”. I have spoken to 2 different sales managers about this and to the salesman himself. The salesman did not deny the incident, but said he did not mean to make her uncomfortable. However, had I been standing there when it happened (and it wouldn’t have happened if I was standing there) he would have known very quickly he crossed the line. It was not only unprofessional, but is easily interpreted as sexual harassment. I have not received an apology from anyone at the dealership even though I have brought it up on 3 separate occasions.
I understand that bad service can happen. I understand that people can do stupid things. However, there has been no effort on Covina Valley Kia’s part to fix any of this. How am I supposed to remain a customer?! My wife is extremely uncomfortable at Covina Valley Kia, because the salesman physically touched her inappropriately. On top of my wife being sexually harassed the service is the worst I’ve ever encountered and refusing to refund someone for a service they did not request is flat out stealing. This is my last attempt to make things right with Covina Valley Kia. It would be nice to have a pleasant ending to this story, but I am unable to do business with people who do not take responsibility for their actions or a business that does not take responsibility for the actions of their employees. I have no ill will towards Covina Valley Kia, but my experience tells me your dealership does not have its priorities correct and its values in the right place to make it to the top.”

    • I recently leased a K900 from Covina Valley Kia. I guess the badge speaks for itself. I cant even express the regreat I have due to the customer service Ive been getting. All I can say is im going to the top on this one and hopefully I get my issue resolved. Love the car but this will be my last Kia due to the customer service and LIES they have provide.

  31. I have e-mailed the Kia dealership in my town 2 times in the last 3 weeks with NO response as to the repair I need. I’m fed-up with this place and the shoddy workman ship, customer service and NOT responding to a customer that needs help.

  32. Hello. I came to the Kia dealership on Northern Blvd and received the worst customer service ever. The name of the sales person was Miguel. He was absolutely rude and unprofessional. We asked to speak to a manager and he screamed across the sales floor to the manager saying “they want a truck for $250 a month”
I will never purchase a kia and now because of my word of mouth no one that I know will by one either.

  33. I purchased a Kia inOctober,2014. I WAS going to write a letter of disappointment/protest and just for the PRINCIPLE of it all but after reading ALL the complaints from customers across Canada,What’s the use?? I did recommend a very special friend to the Kelowna,BC Kia dealership and if it had not been for my association and that of my dear friend, both of us being members of Kelowna Veterans Association and just at the time 2 of our comrades loosing their lives, one in Quebec and the other in Ottawa this local Kia dealership would not have followed through on the promise of giving to me a finders fee of $ 200.00. The explanation given to me when given $ 100.00 was to say the least Pathetic. There isn’t enough room to elaborate further. I’m just plainly DISAPPOINTED !!!! Oh yes, the salesman was terrific too bad he has to work with that kind of management.

  37. After 25 years and 3 Kias bought at the dealership in Aguadilla, PR and always bringing into cars for the appropriate maintenance, I was denied a loaner for the 2-day period that was to be needed to fix a problem that has occurred. I know this service is available because it was once provided to me. I would have liked an explanation for the denial but none was given, just a curt ” No” Even more, I would have liked the courtesy of the loaner. And now that I have read so many customer complaints on this site I’m wondering if I should think of buying some other brand next year.

  38. Looking to get the ski pass to bear mountain in southern ca. have test driven a car at 4 dealerships and each one says they don’t have any vouchers left. Really misleading advertising and I don’t appreciate it at all. Who at Kia will send me a voucher and do the right thing?

  39. I have had 3 Kia vehicles since 2004.There has never been a problem until I purchased the current 2012 vehicle with unsafe tires. The tires are made from substandard rubber. The vehicle is used mostly for highway driving. Each of the 4 tires have holes, nails or some foreign object that has Caused damage. The vehicle has 44,000 and I now must purchase new tires. The tires. Should be good for at least 60,000 miles. However the tires are a safety hazard and must be replaced. I will purchase another vehicle within

  41. I have an 2014 Kia forte. the window wash fluid container contents have frozen twice this winter, i use the fluid rated as good to minus 45 no other cars here are having this problem,i was told that other owners are getting this, it is expensive to have it thawed out at the dealership a cost i am not happy about. It is a
design fault that needs to be put right FAST

  42. Bought a 2016 Sorento. On either side of the car, it has an emblem that reads “AWD FE”. I know the AWD means all wheel drive, but the dealer nor the person at 1-800-333-4kia can explain what the “FE” means. Does anyone know what the “FE” indicates?

  43. Hi Kia,
I have recently leased a 2015 Kia Sorento and I absoluetly love it..Smooth,quiet and comfortable ride..love the six speed automatic(not cvt) transmission..kudos to Kia for not switching over to Cvt transmission which I hate aswell as lot of driving enthusiast..Ill be looking to purchase another Kia soon.
    Thanks

  44. Bonjour,

  45. I have a 2013 KIA Optima the engine is blown and of course they wont honor the warranty. The technician said sludge is oil and oil is sludge. I have tried to get a message to the CEO and board members showing the sign I have in the yard that says WARNING DONT BUY A KIA. I am going to make sure at the very least KIA misses out on at least 2 sales a week. I live on a corner lot next to a middle school the traffic flow is approximately 4,000 cars a day. I would attach a photo of the sign in my front yard but this area will not let me do that so for anyone considering buying a KIA BEWARE!!! These cars are pieces of JUNK!!!

  46. KIA Egypt sent me a note saying they’ll offer a free check on my car plus I get a gift. Nice! I made a reservation, they did a good work. The gift? It turned out to be the thing you hang on the mirror to give nice smell in the car….and had the large logo of Shell! This so-called-gift is offered free in gas stations and street corners! Do you, guys, know how much money we spend on your cars and regular maintenance to offer such a ‘valuable’ gift. What an insult!Shame!!!!

  47. Kia in Dothan, Alabama is the worst car dealership I have ever dealt with.
The salesmen I dealt with were not only overly pushy, but when my credit came back as not so perfect, they told me I was “just a Waitress” and was a “waste of their time”.
I was also grilled with dirty looks by the receptionist because I am a tattoo’d female. The receptionist continued to say rude things about my appearance to another employee.
I feel as if I were discrimated against because of my job and because of my appearance. I will therefore never shop at Kia. I went down the street to Hyundai and they were wonderful and did everything they could to make sure I left with a car.
    Dothan Kia is horrendous.

  48. I HAVE 2014 KIA OPTIMA AND I WAS DRIVING WITH MY CRUISE CONTROL ON 1-95 GOING 70 MPH AND MY ENGINE SHUT OFF, I PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED MY ENGINE AND DROVE HOME WITH NOTHING ELSE HAPPENING AND I TOOK IT TO KIA THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG BUT THEY DIDN’T HAVE TIME TO LOOK AT IT BECAUSE THEY WERE CLOSING AND THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A RENTLE SO THEY COULD CHECK IT ON MONDAY. THEY REALLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST KAI I WILL EVER BUY.

  49. 9 miles on a brand new 2015 Kia forte….and the steering wheel locks up…..Reading comments, research KIA’s history, and I truly believe a recall should be issue,,,,or Kia is going to be paying MILLIONS FOR MISTAKES,COUNTLESS ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.
I WOULD NOT BUY A BICYCLE FROM KIA,,,YOU SHOULD BE ASHAME KIA.PLEASE CORRECT YOUR PROBLEMS WITH ALL YOR CARS..IF I ONLY KNEW BEFOREHAND I WOULD HAVE NOT WASTE MY MONEY AND BROUGHT A BIKE INSTEAD.

  50. I recently leased a new Kia Optima about a month ago. This is my 6th car lease however my first with Kia. I am writing to let you know how disappointed and dissatisfied I am with the quality of my radio in my car. On a brand new car and in 2015, I am shocked with how unclear the sound is compared to all of my previous cars. I tried playing around with the settings and referred to the owners manual but nothing improved. I spoke with my sales rep and he encouraged me to schedule service with Kia which I did. However I was told that there is nothing wrong with the radio and that is just how it is. My $15 radio I purchased from Target for my home has better sound quality than my car radio. I have had 3, yes 3 people, come into my car and ask me “what’s wrong with your radio, why ins’t it clear?” And I told them their guess is as good as mine. Although a radio might seem minimal to you, I travel very often and rely on it. To think I am stuck with this type of quality for the next 4 years really disappoints me. I can reassure you that I will not be leasing another Kia after this and I can bet anyone who rides in my car may share the same feelings.

  51. 2012 optima has had a/c go out twice, turbo go out twice and now back up camara is going out. For a car with just over 60,000 miles this is a joke. That and the rude customer service that corporate has given us and o would NOT recommend Kia to anyone. Was looking to trade my Toyota and my Honda both in and was leaning toward Kia…,not now when they DONT stand behind their product. Toyota has over 130,000 miles on it and company still stands behind it when had a problem and they fixed no charge even though out of warranty just to show they have standards. Looks like I will be trading for 3 Toyotas

  52. I emailed the company 2 weeks ago and have heard no response. Either you did not receive my email or as i suspect you do not care. I will 1 more time email and then I will carry on.

On August 5 2015 on my way to work my electronics started going nuts in car. I made it to work and called my husband. He said it was probably the battery as his truck did that as well. I called kia in Lawrence Ks and told them about it. I told them that several times when I have brought it in for service they told me battery was getting weak. He told it was possible but until it was there they couldn’t be sure. I had to towed out and about 10 am they called to get permission to do a 88.00 diagnostic test. I gave my consent. About 1:30 I called and was told they were still looking at it. About 3 pm Will called and said they didn’t know what it was and would have to do more tests for an additional 200.00. My husband then called and was told that they had not tried new battery yet. He told to do that. Will then calls me about 4:45 and tells me they were going to keep my car and because it wasn’t a warranty issue they couldn’t give me a loaner but would happily rent me a car for 30.00 a day. I had to find my own way home from Lawrence to north of Tonganoxie with my 1 month old twin grand children in the heat. Did I mention this is in Kansas in the August heat. I called kia first thing the next morning and was told no they still had not put in a new battery. I told them to do that first thing. If it fixed it great if not to do no more. About 10 am Will calls says that the battery didn’t fix the problem what did I want to do. I told him to stop i would come get it. I called a mechanic on my route. He gave me the name and number for a guy who would treat me right. I got to kia and found a 250.00 bill for a test and battery. WOW. You all think highly of those batteries. I was also told that who ever i took it to would just bring it back to them. I promised that would not happen. I drove it across the street literally and those guys put it on their machine and ran the codes. They reset everything and guess what no problem. Im still driving it. I waited a bit to email to make sure that the problem was fixed. So far so good but kia assured me they wouldn’t be doing anything that was unnecessary. Get real.

This was my breaking point with kia. I’ve had problems in the past. First was the front end alignment. It was a brand new car. I went threw a new set of tires fast because I kept getting the run around about who could and would do it. Then in may of this year i have to get another new set and took it to Cross Midwest and was informed there that no alignment had ever been done on that car and the camber was out on 1 side so they knew it hadn’t been done. I took back to Lawrence kia and the service manager was snippy and said there was nothing wrong with it whoever told me that didn’t know what they were doing. Cross Midwest is one one the biggest outfits out there and their mainstay is working on fleets of trucks. Trust me they know what they are doing.

I am very disappointed with kia. I waited till I was 40 to buy my first brand new car and while the car has been good the service has stunk. I was recently contacted my the kia dealer where I bought the car and they wanted to discuss buying it back. I told the gentleman how unhappy I was and he said we can’t have that and he would have his gm call me to make this right. No call. So I will tell you like I told him. While I know you are a big company and I am 1 person I am going to spread my story. I am a mail carrier for the USPS. I have over 500 customers and many businesses. I have been there over 23 years. They know me. I will be telling them all of my experience with Kia. I am a very active member of the union. I go to at least 5 meetings a year including the National convention. I am very vocal. I will make it known how bad the service was for me. If I can get even 1 person to not buy a Kia I will be happy. So far i have been very disappointed and by Kia s lack of interest and response i have to conclude that you do not care.

It would be a shock but appreciated to at least get a response to this email. I doubt that there is anything you could say or do to change my opinion but if you at least acknowledge that there is a problem with your service department in Lawrence it would be something.

  53. I bought a 2015 optima in 14, it has a power driver seat but not a passenger seat. I went to the dealer where I bought it from to inquire about putting a power seat on the passenger side because my wife was going to have major heart surgery and could not get in an out of the passenger seat because it was to low. The dealership informed me that I couldn’t install one in the car if it didn’t come with one.
I’m like my car but this makes no sense to me, I know that there are power passenger seats in the optima and the power cords are already there. I don’t know if there isn’t anyone there that can install it or they just don’t want to make the money from the sale?
Because of this I’m sorry but this will be my last Kia, the excuses are lame, they were telling me to get one aftermarket makes no sense. What I paid for the car this shouldn’t have happened’

  54. I would like to thank Gina Selak from Ron Bouchards of Lancaster Massachusetts. I bought a 2015 Kia Cadenza. My third Kia.Gina was honest and never pressured me to buy. She was professional and well educated on Kia vehicles. She made my buying experience easy and I would recommend her to all my friends and family. Thank you again Kia , for a great job.

  55. You guys are crooks. Your $6000 dollar advertisements are misleading and trust me I will let everyone know what crooks you are.

  56. Purchase a 2013 ford tarus at the kia of Holland michigan. Well first off they did the loan the way we didn’t want it done. But we are OK with that. But I had come back cause they sold the car with the following.
    -change oil light on
    -the car was nasty outside!
    -the car was nasty inside!
-the driver side front had a vibration.
I was aware of this and I had to wait a week cause I wored all week and it’s a 45 minute drive! The saleman said I was to be there by 4 so they could do the items I was ok with. Well I rush there cause I got out of work at 330! No one knew I was coming! So I had to wait 2 and half hours and I go to etc in my car and I notice the inside of my car wasn’t clean! I went home due I was tried. And then I notice there is a piece on something hanging from bottom of car! Now I didn’t pay 15,000.00 for a dirty car and something hanging from the bottom! I was only gave a 500 mile warranty ? That’s crazy! And uncalled for! Now I can get whatever is hanging cause I will put that many miles on it before I can get there! I am very upset and will never use your dealership again!

  57. So much for Kia’s road service and quality of customer care (it sucks) it took 19 hours to get a flat tire fix. So I’m in Flagstaff Arizona at around 5 o’clock I get a flat tire on my brand new Kia Forte-5 I have Triple (A) road service but I figure I’ll call my Kia road service instead (regrettable choice) thinking I would get better service I call KIA road service and after discussing the options with the road service agent one of them being if I could have my vehicle towed to the nearest Tire center which just happen to be a block away from the apartment complex where I was staying visiting family, she said yes but the tow service will be charge at your expense, not given that option without the extra towing fee and realizing Kia offers free road service I decided to make use of it, being that it was too late to have my car towed to the nearest Kia dealership, one option was to have a 7:00 a.m. pick up the following day, which arrive forty five minutes later, after arriving at the Flagstaff (OXENDALE) Kia dealership around 9:00 a.m. just Fifteen minutes away from the Apt. complex, thinking that it would take approximately at the very least one hour to fix a flat tire, I waited and approximately at 10:30 I ask the service manager how much longer? Too my amazement he said “we don’t have the facilities to fix a flat tire. “I said to myself “WHAT!” how do you not have the tools to fix a tire” the service manager said we’ll take it to our nearest tire center and if the tire is not repairable we will put a new one on your car comparable to what’s on the car………. too make a loooong story short I finally got my car at around 1:00 o’clock hours from the time the car was pick up till it was handed to me. Actually nineteen hours from the time I call Kia’s road service until my car was handed to me. To make this experience memorable not only did I get charge $106.00 for a tire I did not need. Which after going back home to L.A. I examine the extent of the damage along with my Tire store manager that I frequent for my tire needs, and we both came to a conclusion that the tire was in good enough condition to be use as spare. To make matters worse the tire center was three minutes / 0.4 miles away from the dealer. Literally across the street. My advice to anyone with a Kia. I do not recommend you have your car service at (OXENDALE ) DEALERSHIP they are deceitful, misleading and have fraudulent methods in customer service. Never in my life as a car owner have I experience such enterprising methods. Not only did I experience their enterprising methods but when my car was handed to me the mechanic that worked on the tire fiasco left his dirty greasy hand prints on the side of the car. This standard of customer service is only a reflection on the customer care KIA Corporation and their employees’ project. As of now I’m still waiting for some reparation from the KIA Corporation for their unacceptable customer service I experience

  58. Start with I believed in your soul since I purchase my first in 2012. I know nothing is going to happen, but I feel I need to get this off my chest. My experience at Sunset Kia of Venice Florida with salesperson NICK IZZO was the worst. They lied to me about the Soul I first looked at and used the bait and switch…. the price was changed…… I was not told about the extra $1000 for finacing thru KIA or the change in trade in price for my Soul…. [telling me that the Soul does not hold value]. I am not happy with the way I was treated….shame on you KIA , I thought your company was different… I know you will say I am just a customer who feels that way…. I hope some one contacts me so I can tell you more… I feel you stole about $2000 from me…I hope your company is proud to take advantage of someone who has seen 55 yrs go by and a veteran of 22 years. Be proud KIA… BE PROUD. Just like the salesperson at Sunset KIA of Venice of Florida NICK IZZO high fiving everyone.

  59. I had a problem with my car kia cerato koup model 2010 3 days ago as i heard a strange noise so i took my car to El Sab3 service center to check the sound and i stayed there for almost 3 hours and when i asked the engineer who received my car she told me there is nothing wrong with the car so i took my car and tried it and found out that they did nothing with my car and the sound was still there so i got back to the service center El Saba auto motive and then another engineer came with me in a ride to test drive and detect the problem at first he kept telling me that the car is fine until he heard the sound and told me i think there is something wrong with the gear box and will have to keep the car for 3 days at the service center the problem is:

  61. I recently had my car serviced at Kia of Wilmington and received some bad news and some good news. The bad news was my beloved 2006 Kia Optima could not be repaired. The good news was your Service Manager Leah suggested I hold on to my money for future options. I appreciate her honesty and sales consultant Larry Price for his efforts.. Although I don’t qualify due to blemished credit right now, I will continue to save for another Kia Optima. Thanks Kia, Eursulin K. Mapp

  62. The New KIA 2016 Sorento “Participation” spot…one of THE BEST commercial spots I’ve seen. Very American and hit home with many parents!! Good job!!

  63. To Whom it may Concern…

I went in to look for a vehicle on October 17th, 2015. I had a sales associate come out and greet me and strike up a conversation. I told him what I was looking for and what my situation was. He said he could help and told me to choose the vehicle I would like to test drive, ect. I chose a 2013 optima. I test drove it and actually to my surprise enjoyed the ride. I wasn’t thrilled that it was dented. I was trading in a vehicle that was in excellent shape. I expected to get one as well. Well in the end I chose this vehicle and we went back and forth about the price of my trade in, which I was never completely satisfied, but the salesman told me that the only way they did it was to get a third party buyer to purchase it. They were not going to purchase the vehicle for their sales. The car sales man also went on and on about the cost of getting a used vehicle ready for sale. He explained it would cost them at lease 3000.00 to change all the fluids, and that they do a vigorous inspection. Ok, so anyway believing what he said and then thinking , boy they really take pride in selling great vehicles and making sure they are top notch for potential buyers. I decided to purchase.

Went in to sign all the paper work for purchase and ran across a few things that I questioned. The car came with the 100,000 mile powertrain and 12 month limited warranty. The finance lady Michelle told me about the extended warranties and the 3 in 1. It all sounded so good…. I asked her if the extended warranty included the 100,000 powertrain and she said yes… I explained to her I did not want to purchase this warranty if it included the powertrain because this was included in the sale of the vehicle and I did not want to pay for it in the extended warranty. She explained that the limited warranty on the electrical was individual and the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty was not included in that price. So I agreed to purchase this warranty. She also explained the 3 in 1 warranty and I excepted this as well because I did not notice but the one dent on the vehicle. We finished up the paperwork and I went on my way.

Couple days later I researched the warranty cost and coverage. I found out that in fact I had paid for the 100,000 power train warranty as well. (it is included and sold as a package with the electrical limited warranty. I had explained to her prior that this is not what I wanted and I did not want to purchase a warranty that had came with the vehicle. I was upset that I had been tricked into purchasing this warranty. Lied to and charged for something I already had. The 3 in 1 I purchased wasn’t going to do me much good. The reason? After washing my vehicle I noticed there were two dents and two places on the rear where it had been hit and painted over, and not very well. Also the rubber seals on the vehicle were in bad shape. I thought were they were just dirty when I purchased the vehicle, but to my surprise they are not in that good of shape visually. So then I decided that having the 3 in 1 was not worth having considering the shape the vehicle was in. There just simply was no reason for me to have that!!

I immediately started to emailing Stevens creek Kia and Michelle. After at lease a week of trying to reach them and waiting for a return message, I finally reached customer service. I explained to him my issues and he explained he would reach out to Michelle and have her call me.. He kept me on the line while he tried to call her. She was not working that evening. So he sent them information and the immediately reached out to me the following day. I explained to Michelle the issues with the warranties and 3 in one and the condition of the vehicle. I told her I wanted to be reimbursed for the warranties and 3 in 1. She tried to talk me into keeping it, NO THANK YOU!! She sent me the paperwork to sign and I returned it to her. The amount would be deducted from the loan. Now it is December 14th and I still haven’t seen any charges reversed from the warranties. I also still haven’t received a check for the amount of over payment for pay off. I just want this whole terrible experience to be OVER!!!!!!!! I wish I had never done business here! Never ever will I recommend this place either.

I for one expected to have a vehicle that was inspected before a sale. I am so stupid. Immediately I had to replace a light (that night) and I also had to replace bad windshield wipers. I hope all inspections don’t lack the professionalism and 100% accuracy!

And by the way the Finance Company Capitol One is horrible as well! Nothing compares to the quality service and professionalism I received from GMC, Buick Pearson”s and GM Financial!

Please learn from this, and give your customers better service!

  64. I was very disappointed in the way my experience with Kia southside Edmonton was handled yesterday . My soul has 12450 kms. And is a 2014 model. I had to replace the battery alreDy and was charged for half of it. A battery should last much longer than this. When I asked them to take it out they said it would cost an additional 79.99 to remove the new battery and put my old one back in. I phoned back within five minutes of installation. I feel the original battery should be good for more than one year under warranty. The bill came to 426.00 to do the new battery and get an oil change . I am still under factory warranty. I am angry about the abruptness with which I was treated. I would certainly not recommend using southside Kia to anyone. Due to my proximity to this dealership I used their services but from now on I will go back to Sherwood Kia where I was treated with the respect snd dignity I deserve as a valued customer. I don’t feel I should have had to pay for a new battery after a only 12450 kms. That should have been covered under my warranty. Sadly- my experience was poor and I would like your feedback on this matter.

  65. Could not reason with staff at southside Kia in edmonton. Felt angry and cheated and if asked about the service I received will not hesitate to share my experience

  66. Please my Kia Rio is being repaired under warranty in Abuja, Nigeria. They gave me 45days which I said was too much. They said it could be for less. After 15days, I called to follow up and I was told they didn’t have the parts. They are asking for an additional 10days. Even if the parts are not in the country, it does not take more than 10days. I am really disappointed

  67. Recently, I had a bad experience in a Kia dealership.
I had a Kia Sorent of 2011 and periodically I used to get a maintenance service.
And recently, I got a recall mail and visited in a dealership to get a recall service including oil change..and they provided a multi-point inspection..After finishing everything, they called to me to pick my car and I went to there to pick my car.. But at that time, I found there was a problem with air back alarm lamp then I showed the service center person. He said that I’ll check again then I had to came back to my office without my car. A couple hours later, they called me and told that there was a problem regarding air back control module and need to change and it will cost around $700 bucks…additionally, they said my car was expired the warranty period last November….Do you think it’s understandable ? it’s really upset me..and also Kia customer service has just answered to me with a very unkind response….I’d like to escalate this situation to Kia management team and want to get sincerely answer.,..

  68. I had requested a copy of my purchase contract a few weeks ago they said i would receive it with in 3 to 5 business days. But they haven’t send it to me if possible can i please get contacted at 424 222 0022 thank you would really appreciated

  69. Give your tithes to God and He will take cares the rest of your….

I had Kia Spectra LS sedan, 4D auto for 13 years with no problem until transmission worn-out typical to auto transmission traded-in to 2016 Kia Forte sedan, happy and satisfy.

  70. I was told to put down $700 dollars for my vehicle the sale person took 1500 dollars out my account with out my consent and then they dont want to give me the rest of my money back.

  71. I have a big problem with my picanto. Th Tunisian agency fro land transpoort took my car’s registration card because of the manufacturer plate which I paid for and which was refused because the Tunisian agency for land transpoort said it must be brought from Korea. So paid it again 5months ago and I sitll received nothing!!! The tunisian KIA agency said the’re waiting for it and as for me I can no longer drive my car unless get that plate!!! What a mess!! FIVE months and I got nothing yet!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m fed up and I was thinking of changing my car by a new KIA but now …

  72. About 8 months ago I purchased my car. While purchasing the dealership sold me a warranty or insurance whatever its called enabling me to return car anytime that I cannot drive anymore. About ten days ago I had a mild heart attack and my physician prohibited me from driving for safety of myself and public. I am 63. Please let me know the procedure of returning the car.
    Thank you

  73. when is a vehicle considered a lemon, I purchased a 2014 soul, the radio was went bad then we have had 3 recalls, maybe four I stopped counting. really love the car but enough is enough. one of the bad deals are the trade-in value. purchased it two years ago at the cost of $22000, returned to trade it in and was told trade in value was$9000. come on be real. this is the last kia I will purchase.

  74. I purchasedon’t a new 2014 Kia Sorento in 2013. In the three years that I’ve owned my Kia, I’ve replaced the right and left break light bulb twice, my front head lights once and the strip of lights that’s over the head lights once. Just last week I had to once again take my car to the dealer to have the drivers side break light bulb replace because it wasn’t working. Today I discovered that the passenger side head light bulb non functioning yet again!!! Every time I have taken my car in to have the light bulbs replaced, I am charged.
All I want is to have a car that had working lights. This is a head ache.

I there a recall on the lights or light bulbs?

    Thank you for your time.

  75. Hello,
I am emailing you regarding account #20110309630171. I have made two pay-ahead payments on my account over a 4 year period, so that I would not be late. I am currently on Social Security disability, and only get paid once a month. Hence, the paying one month in advance. Currently, my account is showing a default, and I would like to know why on your system details. My accounts show I am ahead. If needed I can provide checking account details, if you can provide where I defaulted. Please help me! When I have called over the phone, two different csr’s couldn’t answer this question.
    Sincerely,

  77. I bought my KIA Soul about 5 mos ago. I absolutely love it. But in the past couple of months, my KIA has not started on several different occasions. I have called the KIA On Road service twice because of this happening to me. The first time, It started back up after about 35 minutes, so I didn’t use the On Road service but I took into the Service dept. in Olathe, after doing alot of checking everything out, they couldn’t find anything wrong.
Just this past week, I went out to start my car up from my work and it wouldn’t start. I did call the Service and they came out and had to tow my car to the dealership. But the tow service, tried starting it in Park and it wouldn’t start, but then he started it in Neutral, and it started right up. When the tow service took into the service dept. and told them this is what happened, they said it has to happen while they are looking at it. It has to be in a failed state for them to fix it.
They have given me a “Loaner” and they are keeping my car to see if they can get it to do what it has been doing with me. I call every day and they say it starts right up for them. But the battery is a little weak, but not enough to put in a new battery.
This is under warranty, and I am very (To say the least) frustrated.
I feel like If if wasn’t under warranty – they would say it is the “Neutral Safety Switch” and I would pay for the cost. But because it is under Warranty I feel like they will not fix it until it happens to them.
I am reaching out to someone that maybe can help me as I paid for this car, I love it, but it is not being a reliable car for me as of now, and I need some attention to my matter.
    Thank you
    Susan

  78. We have a 2012 Kia Forte that
water is leaking into the front passenger side under the firewall mat. It is soaked and water seeping onto floor. Took to Kia dealer first thing mentioned is due to mileage out of warranty. Of course claim can’t duplicate problem state in order to fix leak must find where coming from. A 4 yr old car should NOT have water leakage. I know it’s from the cowl area a sealant problem. We had the same issue with another Kia Forte we had, mentioned that but not listening. We can’t be the only people dealing with this issue. Guess should of learned our lesson the first time.

  79. I have a complaint, which most probably will not be taken notice of, I went with my fried Maria Dekker on Thursday 23rd March 2017 to have her car serviced. We left and I realised that I had forgotten my cell phone in her car. I telephoned the Service Department who assured me that they would be able to keep it for me – alas when we went to fetch her car – nobody knew about my phone. This brings me to the conclusion that Kia Motors employes thieves because if they staff were honese employees my phone would have been returned to me. Very, very disappointed and would not recommend Kia Motors to anyone wishing to purchase a car.

  80. I noticed that the air bag warning light was on since yesterday, so I decided to go today to Kirby Kia in Oxnard, CA so that they could check what was wrong with my 2012 Kia Sorento, since it stays on and will not turn off , and I was told that I had to pay $128.00 just to do a diagnose and eventually find out what was wrong. After that I would have to pay for the repair. Then, I came home and call customer service and explained to them the problem and ended up getting the same answer and they also told me that even if the problem is a manufacturing issue I had to pay for it because my warranty was expired. Unbelievable!

  81. I bought a 2011 Sorento new. I have had problems lifting the back seat up from almost the time I bought it. I took it back to the dealer, and was told it was fine. I did this when I took it in to have the front seat repaired. At any rate, the back seat now will not return to an upright position. Completely flat. I took it to the dealer, and was told it would cost $500.00 to repair.

There was a Technical Service Bulletin issued in 2013 on this problem. KIA knows it is a design flaw, but will not recall the car to have it repaired. I contacted the KIA Customer Service department today, and have been issued a case number. There are numerous complaints online about this problem.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks!

  82. First Team Kia on Western Branch Blvd needs to learn how to send documents back that via email that they promise they will and also answer email. Will never recommend them to anyone

  83. To whom it may concern:

I scheduled some recall work to be done at the closest kia dealership to me which is in Terre Haute, IN. I called back a couple of days later to move the appointment up three hours so that I could attend a Drs appointment with my wife for our 20 month old daughter. I came to the appointment today and took off in the loaner to run some errands. After three hours, and not hearing from the dealership, I decided to come back to see what was going on. I asked the guy at the counter what they had found and he said that they hadn’t even started on it yet? I asked why and he said because I’d called and moved the appointment up?? While I was standing there a lady came in for an unannounced oil change. The same guy said yes, we’ll start on it right away. To say that I’m upset would be an understatement!

  84. My wife and I purchased an SUV from Kia of Medina. When she made the purchase Kia offered a way to cut 6 months of payments by using a third party vendor with having payments coming out every other week. It has been 3 years now and discovered errors were made between Wells Fargo and this third party vendor. Kia should not offer a service that has room for errors and the outcome is just dumped for the customer and no one wants to take ownership.

  85. 4 or 5 years ago I went with my son to purchase a vehicle. He had no credit at the time so I was asked if I would consider Co signing for him. Of course I said I would but didn’t believe that I would be able to given the fact that I am disabled on a fixed income. Now all these years later I find that I am a Co purchaser. I never filled out papers for that and was told in was aproved as Co signer. How did the Manager have the ability to do that without me knowing. I only filled out a Co signer application NOT a Co purchaser. I want to know what I need to do to get copies of the paperwork?

  86. I would like someone of authority to contact me. I have a brand new 2016 Kia Optima sx turbo and after bribing it in for its 3rd service appt I am now experiencing problems. When I tried to speak to the dealership they were not only disrespectful, I feel they were dishonest as well.

  87. I have been waiting 6 weeks to get an answer from KIA QUEENSTOW ,S.A on whether the extended warrantee will cover my brake repairs. I doubt I will ever buy a KIA again.

  88. I have an 2015 KIA Sorento. I have tried over and over again to get someone to tell me what is going on with my car. The oil is burning out (after oil changes) , engine nosier, rattle, knocking sounds when driving, no warning lights to show that I need oil (the engine light for the first time came on yesterday), white and black smoke comes out of the tailpipe (when driving, parked and after starting up the engine), hesitation, jerking and stalling. I love this car but not the after the sale service. I have taking the car to the KIA in Evans Ga and was told that I needed a part then the guy came back to me and said that I could not get the part because I did not get my oil changed at the KIA shop. If I needed a part why didn’t he just tell me what I needed and the price and I could have had this done. I called the KIA in Augusta Ga over 3 hours ago and no one have called or email me back to let me know when I could come in with my car, do it take this long for someone to return a call?????

  89. Hi, I purchased a 2015 Sportage with only 8000 miles on it. A awesome purchase. Runs beautiful! My problem however is not with my new Kia. It’s with the poor customer service I received. The car had a scratch on in it, which they were willing to fix. We pointed out another scratch the morning of drop off. Later that night we picked our car up to find out the second scratch had not been fixed. They claimed they knew nothing about. Poor communication! Then Zurich seal was to be applied that we purchased. I don’t think it was applied because the car was not vacuumed before they applied it. I was told it was applied over dirt. It was redone as I waited over 2 hours for it. My husband wasn’t given a rental earlier in the week because he forgot his license. I told them we were just there out license was on file. They couldn’t do it. They didn’t offer a courtesy ride either. Also, Kia tried to get me an extra 500.00 for my trade. It was partly my fault also for not asking if it was approved, and it slipped our minds. In also told I would receive a second key, and it’s 3 weeks later and haven’t received it yet. I made several phone calls to the area manager and never received a call back. I went to Kia and the only person willing to help me was Shawn, the finance manager. Really, the finance manager. He helped me with everything that Tony the manager, and Steve the area manager couldn’t help me with. Sadly, 3 weeks later, I’m still waiting for my second key.
Then store in Springfield Pennsylvania is very poor at customer service and communication. Communication is a huge problem there!
I appreciate your time in this matter, and hope to hear from someone soon. It’s been very frustrating.

  90. I sent in an extremely important and disturbing complaint to KIA, was assigned a case number as well as a case manager and I’ve yet to get any type of response. Company neglect is unacceptable

  91. My services with kia is very bad and I don’t ever think I will ever or refer anyone I know to buy your cars..its really pathetic .its my 1st and last my rio is giving me problems having all this funny sounds when I took it to the dealer they don’t know whats the real problem they only assume its something else ..I took it to the dealer and the dealer says they don’t have the parts… your cars are beautiful outside and in but your customer services stinks

  92. Purchased a new 2012 Kia Sorento for our oldest daughter and she started having problems with the engine overheating in April 2017. Took it to the dealership and they kept guessing on what the issue was. She had only 95,000 miles on the car at the time. We paid for a thermostat and then was told it was the thermostat housing which was replaced. Took the car back every month until December was told she needed a new engine and the dealership would not discount the cost of $6000 which we paid on Friday, January 5, 2018. Today, the car had to be towed back to the dealership because it would not start. The sad part of this is that we bought our second daughter a Kia Optima in March 2017. Ugh…… What a mess this has been. Costing us quite a bit of money.

  93. I would just like to say that I don’t think that I should have to pay for something that is a known problem with your product. This is my second soul and I didn’t have any problems with my first on but this one not so much. I’m not going to fix the light in my car because I went and bought a new bulb and put it in and it worked for about 5 mins took the bulb back to store to complain to them and they informed me that the bulb was fine it was my wiring in my car and would be about 400.00 to fix. I don’t think so. They said they have had several come in with the same issue. They told me to contact the company so that is what I’m doing.

  94. I am writing to say Thank you to Cobb County Kia for working with my sister on the trade in and purchase of a new Kia. My sister was sold a damaged vehicle under previous management. This information came to light when she tried to refinance the car. We contacted Cobb County Kia and through emails, phone calls, and meetings my sister is now driving a safe vehicle sold to her by Cobb County Kia at a very reasonable rate and took the former auto as a trade in. This was a trying situation for all concerned considering the original Management, sales person, and financing personnel no longer are employed with this dealership, however, new management showed integrity and compassion in working through this situation with my sister. Thank you.

  95. I don’t know if Kia in St. Cloud, Minnesota will get this email.

I am writing because I am offended and am sure others are too with their resent commercial. It reflects the issue/topic of sexual harassment that has been so prevalent in the news. It starts out with a man saying he has been harassed in the office, then a sentence or to using sexual harassment ‘tone’ in the ad. At the end the man wants to drive another mans new Kia and the other man shouts NO, NO means NO. It is in very poor taste and insensitive.
I know I will never set foot in that car dealership who uses such tactics for advertising.

  96. Dear All,
I have Kia Optima 2011. When the gear is shifted automatically from 2 to 3rd I felt a thumping and jerking, hence, I changed it’s fluid which make it better but did not fix it completely, the mechanic told me to change the fluid again to clean whole gear and reprogram it.
Could you advise me how can I fix it, please? do I need reprogram it, please?

    Best Regards

  98. I have owned my 2016 Kia Optima for 1 year now. Have be quite happy with it overall. The only negative is an intermittent issue with the key FOBs. There are time it works perfectly and others I can hit the button 20 times before it works. When I spoke to the dealer they told me there is nothing they can do because they could not replicate the problem while I was there. I have a 2000 Toyota, a 2004 Chevy and a 2007 Honda and I have never had one problem with their key FOBs. It’s sad to say that I will probably never buy another Kia because of this. It is not safe to not be able to get in your car on a dark night, especially with my children. And to think after paying for this car and the extended warranty to be told too bad there is nothing we can do is very poor customer service/satisfaction. One of the service tech even admitted that he has had the same problem with his Optima.

  99. Upon my fiancée’s death in Nov 2014 I continued payments on his leased Kia vehicle. Upon completion of the lease in June 2017 I bought said vehicle from Kia financial. Since then (9 1/2 months later) I have not received the title. I have talked to your customer service reps at least 12 times and they all tell me they are waiting for the mileage statement. Since June I have faxed the the statement to 2 separate offices and mailed hard copies to at least 6 separate offices. Some of the reps I talked to stated they were Supervisors. I can’t believe there are that many inept people working for one company.

  100. I was charged twice in the month of April for my car payment because I setup autopay. I called Kia over two weeks ago to get my money back. Firstly, they said they can’t credit back my card – which makes no sense – and that they can only send a check. How are you going to accept online payments but not be able to send it back when you take too much? Secondly, the woman I spoke to didn’t mention that it takes 16 DAYS before they even send out a damn check! I was told it gets held to make sure the money clears. Did it clear? You wanna see my bank account? It CLEARED! This is absolutely ridiculous. Once I am done leasing my vehicle which has no cruise control, I think I done with Kia. And btw, your customer service prompts are absolutely idiotic and confusing. The people you hire are incompetent as well. You suck.

  101. Good Evening,
    Hey,

I don’t want to bother you. I came accross your website and wanted to get in touch. I just think more people should get to see what you’re about.
I work at Elise Michel and i help a lot of people to manage their visibility (social, publishing, networking, promos). And I’d love to work with you.
I wanted to connect with you, ask you a couple questions about your work, and hoped we can stay in touch in case I have any opportunities for you in the future.

    I have a few ideas, let’s talk !
    Yacine

  102. our 2013 kia sorento has now stranded my wife four times in the last 16 months with issues that are almost unbelievable. last week while taking two of our grandchildren out the car stopped on the interstate. after towing to a dealer, we were told it needs a new engine. the unbelievable part is that they replaced the engine 16 months ago. so we will now have a car with its third engine. they also replaced the transmission a few months back. it is all taken care of under warranty but who in their right mind would want a vehicle as unsafe as this one.

  103. I called this morning about a ticket I received from Seattle on the 2013 Kia Soul We traded to Car Pros of Tacoma, when we got a new Kia Soul May 29 2017. I called the General Manager, and was blamed for not contacting the state of Washington to let them know we traded in 2017. Any time I have gone to a dealership they always changed title. I asked them to send a copy of release paper to a fax number for the court. My copy was very light and could barley able to read. His immediate attack was totally in the wrong. We have bought both of our Kias from Car Pros and have loved our Kia. So much that we told everyone how great they are. After what happened when we were ushered that the title and all would be taken care of by the dealership to get a ticket a year later because they never did their job, makes me realize that the customer is of little importance. Although I love my Kia Soul I most likely not get one again if this is the way they treat customers

  104. I purchased a 2018 Kia Sportge with no miles less then 3 months ago. Since owning the car I am concerned for my safety and childrens. I have had it in the dealership in my area a couple times to be told nothing is wrong with it. I have had Kia for over 15 years and never have had a problem with no car owned> I think this could be a lemon. It can be driving along and seems all power just cuts out and then it coast tll kicks back in sudden reming the the engine and jerking everyones head in the car. The one time it kicked in so quickly and I was going around a curve, it pulled me up onto then sidewalk and I almost hit a front porch after crossing the sidewalk. Thank god no one was on the sidewalk at the time and I hit them. I am making this know publicly only because I will be leaving for SC with2 of my children and if I am in a accident or killed in a car accident I want it to be known for my remaining family. I feel driving a Kia for over 15 yrs I do know when something is wrong even know the dealership says theres nothing wrong.

  105. Back in march 2017 I bought a 2014 kia soul from Auffenberg in Belleville , I was told I had a 3 year warranty and now that my car started having issues starting in June 2018 they are now telling me I have until January 2019 ,which is not 3 years, but anyways my lights are flickering in side and my head lights go on and off all by its self. then sometimes it decides it does not want to turn on. I have taken it to Auffenberg multiple times for them to tell me nothing is wrong and the last time they told me the battery was bad, but I realized they sold me a kia with a ford battery which shows in the last four years the car had a new battery put in. but anyways I got a new battery put in and two hours later my lights were flickering way worse and my steering wheel is harder to turn now and now my check engine light is on. I am tired of bringing my car in for them to tell me nothing is wrong where apparently there is something wrong!!! I also found out there has been a lot of cases where 2014-2015s kia souls have caught on fire after having the same issues with their cars. I also took it to AutoZone and they told me it was my alternator but Auffinburg keeps telling me it is not that, but cant seem to tell me what is wrong and my car is only getting worse.

  106. Before I even took the car to them I was told that there was no way the recall on my car would cause the issues the car is having. I said well I’m looking at the recall now and it says it will. I reported this to KIA. I figured all service departments are the same so took it there anyway. Then they call me say I passed the recall but they want to remove the oil pan (at a cost to me) to see if there are shavings in the oil pan, if there is then it would fall under the recall if not then they will not refund me the charge. I asked if removing the oil pan is part of the test for the recall or in conjunction with it I shouldn’t be charged, we kept going round and round, the man on the phone kept talking in circles and then when he would NOT directly answer my question and I called him out on it and got angry he wouldn’t even talk to me. Called KIA consumer line again and she tried telling me while she is not a tech they can usually tell if there are shavings in the oil pan by looking at the dipstick…I said then why remove the oil pan and charge me money if all they have to do is pull the dip stick? (which I’m not sure is actually true anyway about shavings on the dip stick). She said all she could do for me is contact them for me. Put me on hold and then was slightly rude when she came back on the line and said it can take a couple days for them to get back to her. I said then until I have my answer the car will be in their way because if I take it home and have someone else look if there’s shavings then there’s nothing I can do because they will say I put them there….and if there is shavings then they should be replacing said recall and that would suggest that NO my car did NOT pass the recall.

    EXCERPT from the recall:
2013; * ALL 2014 MY OPTIMA VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE 2.4L GDI AND 2.0L TURBO-GDI ENGINES PRODUCED AT KMMG FROM AUGUST 28, 2013 THROUGH MAY 15, 2014; * ALL 2012-2014 MY SORENTO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE 2.4L GDI ENGINES PRODUCED FROM APRIL 19, 2011 THROUGH FEBRUARY 10, 2014; * ALL 2011-2013 MY SPORTAGE VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE 2.0L TURBO-GDI ENGINES PRODUCED FROM DECEMBER 30, 2010 THROUGH AUGUST 30, 2013. METAL DEBRIS MAY HAVE BEEN GENERATED FROM FACTORY MACHINING OPERATIONS OF THE ENGINE CRANKSHAFT AND MAY NOT HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY REMOVED FROM THE CRANKSHAFT’S OIL PASSAGES DURING THE CLEANING PROCESS. IT WAS ALSO DETERMINED THAT THE ADDITIONAL MACHINING PROCESSES OF THE CRANKPINS MAY HAVE CAUSED UNEVEN SURFACE ROUGHNESS. THESE COMBINED CONDITIONS CAN RESTRICT OIL FLOW TO THE BEARINGS INCREASING THE POTENTIAL FOR PREMATURE BEARING WEAR. A WORN CONNECTING ROD BEARING WILL PRODUCE A CYCLIC KNOCKING NOISE FROM THE ENGINE AND MAY ALSO RESULT IN THE ILLUMINATION OF THE VEHICLE’S ENGINE WARNING LAMP AND/OR OIL PRESSURE LAMP IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.
It goes on to state that if ignored the engine can stall while driving and cause a crash.

  107. 108. I have a 2016 Kia Sorento, Last week The intake valve froze causing the car to not accelerate. I took it to the local Tricity Kia in Eden NC close to where I live and the service department ( MATT was who I worked with) was very helpful. He gave me a number to call and said that even though my car was outside of the basic 60,000 mile warranty by 9,000 miles that they might could help with the repairs. I called and spoke to several Kia customer services reps, who were all amazing with the exception of one person. I explained to them my situation and they did everything possible to assist me with this issue. Danielle and Travis were Amazing. After waiting a week and jumping through a few hoops Travis got my car repairs taken care. I can not thank them enough for their excellent customer service!!!!

  109. Re: 2012 Kia Sorento. Motor had to be changed at 109,000 miles. Mechanic said this was the 5th Kia engine he changed this year. Factory problem with these engines. Warranty is at 100,000 miles so advised to get rid of it at 90,000 miles.

  110. Re: 2012 Kia sorento. Motor replaced at 109,000 miles. Mechanic said this is 5th Kia engine he replaced. Factory defect. Was advised to get rid of Kia at 90,000 miles. Easier said than done.

  111. I perused your website to explore the Kia Soul. Your website took forever to load and the virtual showroom never materialized – only the buffereing donut. I trust you assemble automobiles better than you produce a website. This was NOT a good customer experience.

  112. I purchased my Optima LX with the 2.4 lt. engine (timing chain instead of belt) new in 2009. It has been and is the best made car I have ever owned. I know that any vehicle can be kept running if you want to through enough money at it but I have spent so little on this car that it is almost embarrassing. The extent of the repairs done over and above oil changes (synthetic oil approx. every 6000 miles) and brakes, amount to stabilizing bars all around, brake cylinders on the rear, new alternator, and an idler wheel and tensioner for the serpentine belt. The most surprising thing is that this car has over 407,000 miles on it. That’s not a typing error. let me do it again to make sure you understand. 407,000 miles not kilometers. Not only that but everything except the TPM system still works.
I had a career in quality control for many years and I do not believe that I bought the only car KIA ever made that displays this kind of performance. Of course there will be the occasional lemon but I believe that my vehicle does reflect a superior level of quality in the overall production.
Having owned many different vehicles some of which I truly enjoyed I can honestly say than none of them come anywhere near this vehicle in terms of reliability and over all performance.

  113. Cannot comment about service at the moment because its non-existent. have been trying to contact customer care, is there anyone available anywhere.

  114. Ive got a kia soul with 80,000 miles on it for a while now I have felt play and shimmining in the steering, took it in they said i needed a steering column, they said it would cost $1550.00 dollars to replace it, why didnt it last longer and why isnt it covered under my 10yr-100,000 warranty????????

  115. My 2016 Kia Optima has 36,000 miles and a little over a year old. About a month ago, after my regular oil change I noticed that my car had very little oil. It was not burning oil or leaking oil. I went to the dealership in Essex and they informed me to change the PVC valve, regular maintenance but NOT informed when oil was changed. This cost me $50.00. I left the dealership and less then 100 miles I checked my oil again and it was low, not much but low by about 1/2 quart. Mind you, in only 100 miles. I did not drive my car during the Christmas holiday due to Kia shop closed and I did not want to damage my engine. I returned to the dealership where I spend 5 hours awaiting request from corporate to test my engine 3 different times and waiting for their response on what the findings were and what they recommended. This cost me $285.00, not happy. They did give me a loaner and kept my car for 3 days only to indicate Kia found nothing indicating oil loss and said “How do we know she topped it off?” Again, not happy. I was also informed that if the engine had to be replaced it would be 2-3 months due to engines are on “back order”, seriously. This tells me that there seems to be problems with Kia engines. I will continue to check my oil, regularly, which I should not have to do with a NEW vehicle and request a reimbursement of my $285 for my inconvenience, tolls and time not to mention, KIA REQUESTED THESE TEST BE PREFORMED. I would appreciate a quick response and will await your reply

  116. I bought a 2013 KIA Sportage in 2015, paid cash for this vehicle because everyone raved how these vehicles are so good and dependable, had the vehicle for 3 yrs., and my engine blew. I was at a stop light and went to take off and my car sounded horrible, I pulled in to a gas station and called my brother and asked him what it was he replied shut it off your motor sounds blown. So I had to pay out of pocket to have it towed to the closet Kia dealership where they diagnosed my car as having a blown engine due to the bearings, and that my estimate was $5,768.90 to be fixed. That’s when they told me about the recall for several different types of Kia’s however unfortunately my engine isn’t covered under the recall. Which after reading several other peoples complaints it doesn’t appear theirs is covered either. Which is confusing to ME. Right now there are approximately 15 million Kia customers that are experiencing this same dilemma. And to find out Kia isn’t going to help me replace my motor! I have went through every step there is through Kia to see about them adding my engine to the recall or some kind of “good will” assistance to cover this expense and they told me that my car has to many miles, My miles on this car is 139,864. And the recall claims unlimited miles. So explain that to me. This is ridiculous there are over 15 million recalls for this issue, and Kia knew these motors were bad and still sold the vehicles. For someone who is single like myself and rely on driving something dependable and can’t afford something else or the outstanding amount for the repairs, Kia leaves me with nothing. Now do I not only have nothing to drive, have to gets rides to work, and try to figure out how to come up with over 5, 000 dollars to fix this issue, I guess it’s a Merry Christmas to me. Thank you Kia!!! I will never purchase another Kia again. Something needs to be done about this issue not just for myself but all the other people who are going through the same thing I am.

  117. I have a 2016 KIA Sorento and the Malfunction Light came on. I cannot reach any dealers because of the COVID-19 crisis so can I drive the car until this is over? No means I am stranded and cannot access food or medical supplies, yes may mean the engine might get screwed up. The explanation is to see a KIA dealer–but I cannot. This is the 3rd functional breakdown in the last six months. This would indicate to me that it is not a good car and I have less than 55,000 miles on it.
