Our Experience

When it comes to contacting Epson customer service we are between a rock and a hard place. We called the sales phone number expecting to reach an agent within the first 30 to 45 seconds – they are trying to sell us a product, right? After a brief message about technical support being available only online our call was transferred to a representative who picked up just 37 seconds after we dialed the phone. The agent was extremely friendly and willing to share tons of positive information about Epson products.

We need your help to share how Epson customer service works when it comes to technical support. If you have contacted Epson technical support feel free to leave a comment below with a description of the support you received.

  1. called first time because the gear that makes the paper come out of printer broke its Little teeth and makes paper jams.second time they just want us to diagnose the printer problema, since it copied that time okay, they havent updated my warranty so i can take it to a authorized dealer for fixing. i bought in january this year.if there is authorized dealer why should i diagnose the problema by phone

  2. The twain driver and utility driver which I downloaded for the scanner Perfection 3170 will not install. My computer is a Lenovo W520 and windows 7 professional 32 bit operation system with USB 3.0 port.

Please send me information on the driver.

  3. I have purchased an epson printer in the past and was very satisfied with it. However, I am extremely disappointed in my XP-610 because I never print photos. The high cost of ink being the obvious reason. I just replaced all other ink cartridges and now I can’t use my printer until I replenish the black photo ink. It is absolutely ridiculous that epson would create a product that necessitates the purchase of expendables that are never used in order to print. I hope you have a remedy for this or else I’ll have to take my future purchases else where.
    Sincerely,

  4. I have an Epson workforce 610, used to use it quite a lot.
I needed to print my taxes, went and bought black ink, found out I had to order all four cartridges at 76$! replaced all four printed twenty pages and guess what ? out of black ink and this is THIRD time this has happened.
Don’t you people realize that the public is tired of being ripped off? its MUCH cheaper for me to go to a print shop and have it printed, and what ,if a good percentage of people do the same thing? your out of business!
I have over the years bought two or three Epson printers but be rest assured I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER!

  5. I BOUGHT THIS WF2530 A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO AND HAVE HAD TROUBLE SENDING FAXES EVERY SINCE. IMPORTANT TO ME BECAUSE I NEED TO FAX SOMETHING EVERY SUNDAY NIGHT. FIRST THE FAX WILL AGREE WITH ME UNTIL I PUT IN THE NUMBER TO FAX TO, IT WILL SHOW THE NUMBER I PUT IN AND WHEN IT START SENDING, IT SHOW A NUMBER I HAVE FAXED TO IN THE PAST AND START SENDING TO THAT NUMBER. NOTHING COULD CHANGE IT. I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO FIND A EMAIL ADDRESS TO COMPLAIN TO AND ASK FOR HELP. THEY SUGGESTED I CHANGE MY SETTING AND LATER EMAILED ME BACK TO SEE IF THAT HELPED. THEY ANSWER WAS NO. NO FURTHER COMMENT FROM COMPANY. TRYING TO FAX TO THIS ORIGINAL NUMBER ALSO HAS SOME PROBLEMS. MUST ATTEMPT TO FAX AT LEAST 3 TIMES BEFORE IT FINALLY GOES THRU. ALWAYS SAYS “COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS”. THEN THERE IS THE TIMES IT DOES NOT GO THRU AT ALL, REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY TIMES ATTEMPTED. ALL CONNECTIONS, SETTINGS HAVE BEEN CHECKED. I HAVE BEEN FAXING TO THIS COMPANY APX 3 YEARS PREVIOUSLY AND NO TROUBLE WITH MY OLD MACHINE(LEXMARK). IT IS IN THIS MACHINE AND I CANT GET ANY HELP AND DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO GO FOR HELP.

  6. For what it’s worth, I purchased an epson 410 printer for mobile use in my trucking business. I thought using the wireless feature would be a convience, but it turned out to be a headache. The problem lies with the lack of CLEAR and CONCISE communication in your quick guide booklet. I called tech support and as anticipated, the person helping me wasn’t patient enough to CONVEY his thoughts. I guess my not being a computer nerd, but a truck driver caused him to come across with an attitude. I like the product, however it’s a shame peoples’ communication skills especially in the tech industry are extremely woefull and condensending!

  7. -i purchased a C88+ printer- it came without the usb cable- 2 persons from customer service stated i had to purchase the cable separately—they were very unprofessional-stating “that’s the way it is we can’t do anything about it”-very poor customer service.
i called corporate headquarters and spoke to a wonderful, professional woman, Elizabeth, i stated there was no indication when i purchased their product that i had to purchase a usb cable-she solved my problem
My interest in Epson products has been renewed

  8. I am not happy at all with my new (purchased in January, didn’t get it out of the box and set it up til April) and I haven’t been able to get anything to work right! It took me 4 times to install the download to even get it to connect to the computer, then, FAX still has never worked, Printer jams constantly, & after multiple tries at calibration, I still have lines thru every print, and worst of all- they told me it was the least expensive ink and would print 500 copies per cartridge, and I literally get 38 copies per color cartridges, and 2 weeks for XL Black.
I bought the Epson WF7520 for my home office. I have to go thru multiple steps for scanning and retrieval. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE MAKE A DECENT WELL WORKING PRINTER, FAX, SCANNER??? I’VE BEEN THRU 3 HP OFFICEJETS ALREADY- SO TRIED EPSON. I’M TIRED OF PAYING HUGE MONEY FOR CRAPPY PRINTERS!! This was on sale for $350 + tax. HP’s were $550.

  9. I called Epson for technical support – case reference 140627-000 support personnel Sid (if one can believewhat the personnel said ). I found this personnel was unhelpful, arrogant and lack of communication skills. I am concerned I have just purchased an Epson WF 3520 multifunction printer to replace my HP multifunction printer and I could not get support from Epson. I should have stuck with HP products, HP from my experience has been able to resolve issues satisfactorily and I was followed with a feedback survey for HP. Is the above ‘lack of support’ from Epson typical? How and where can I get technical support to resolve the issue I have?

  11. This the third time I put following comment here I have received no response to the comments here or to the emails I sent through Epson website. How do customers get support from Epson? I am reluctant to ring the 1300 number as one is likely to get an unhelpful assisstant again.

  12. Asked about useing fax without a Landline(Wireless) and Bluetooth configurations. All person was trying to do is direct me to a paid area of support. I want an operations booklet that explains these tools and how to use them. I do not need year round support. A little help would be nice…Thank you.

  13. Have so far been unable to make any contact with the company. I think my computer is still searching for the web site that would give me the opportunity to tell them my problem. I have an Epson – 600 printer/scanner. I am taking exercises to strengthen my arms so that I can pull out the paper cartridge with one hand while I hold the printer in place with the other hand. I have purchased rubber gloves in an effort to keep the ink off of my hands when I change cartridges however it does get all over the surrounding area am trying to figure out how to prevent that. most recently it told me that my credit card# does not match the type of credit card that I have. I have used it on this site before so I am mystified by that.

  14. Utterly and completely dreadful experience. A total “Comcast moment” (see NPR story 7/21/14) I wish I had recorded it. On 7/9/14 I was in tears after an hour of excruciating conversation with a Epson representative who in the end did not have a clue how to fix the specific problem. I’ll give him the credit that he tried to “his ability” but between the language barrier and the technical jargon it was a hellish customer service moment. I would be pleased (and surprised) to get a call back from your customer relations person. Thanks.

  15. How come you guys didn’t reply or make my comment available to the larger public, people that buy the s— you sell for money and to top it all, pull us around by the nose. Why does this site even exist, if you want to retain the sole right to edit and publish? It doesn’t make sense to me. Is it democratic? That was my opinion guys. Oh, I keep forgetting, you are only interested in the money, Right? Talking to you guys is like talking to a stone wall.

  16. I just bought the Epson model 2650 and set it up but I can’t print anything because I used all the Black ink that came with it just setting it up to print.I think this company can afford to put more capacity ink in with your new printer.

  17. I bought espon ink at Walmart for $29.95 the one with the three colors for my NX330 printer and when I got home and replace the ink there wasn’t any ink in them I haven’t even open the yellow one
and it is leaking ink everywhere (BAD} need to do better

  18. I am thoroughly disappointed in your Epson 4 in 1 printer. I replaced my HP printer because I believed Epson was a better company. How wrong was I? The printer (new) had trouble in the very beginning. I had to return the one I had for another, which you company sent me. Now, I just replaced the ink cartridges ($50.00) and with all your tech support, I was just told the printer needs to be replaced and is out of warranty. The printer is a little more than 1 1/2 yrs old. What kind of printer which is not used every day dies that early? I truly believe that the printer I received was a refurbished one. I will never buy Epson again and I will tell everyone I know not to do so. Your product does not deserve to be on the market. I will tell everyone on facebook, etc. not to buy your products!!!!

  19. I just bought Epson black ink cartridge at staples about a week ago, as my WF-2540 would not print (again) $9.00 +++, I have printed 4 short sheets of copy, I just wanted to print a copy from one of my books. BUT it say’s you need to replace BK 200/200XL. What the hell i just replaced it Don’t even why i bother saying any thing after all the above people that did not get any satisfaction, just take a pill and call us next Wednesday. W.W.2Guy

  20. Whats the point for a comment…nothing is going to happen. It’s just whistling in the wind…..LETS FACE IT…..Where just common folks, weather whats going on in D.C. or what ever…We have no POWER ! W.W.2Guy

  21. Apparently you people don’t review what consumers are saying about Epson products. Epson is THE WORST thing I have ever paid my hard earned AMERICAN DOLLARS for and your OFFSHORE (india + manilla), CALL CENTERS, are the biggest waste of your money in!! The only reasonably decent thing about Long Beach CA, is that a consumer finally gets to speak with understandable English person. The service there is pitiful– you’re only transferred OFFSHORE.
When is the US GOVERNMENT GOING TO SHUT you DOWN AND TAKE AMERICANS OUT OF your MISERY???

  22. I am sorry for using this method to “talk” to someone. I bought a second Epson XP-310 at Wallmart. I did not get a cord to connect printer to computer cord. I had the printer set up and in-cartridges in before I discovered the cord missing. Is it possible to just send me a cord? Second question. Do you make a printer that can work with a computer that is not internet accessible. Can the Epson XP-310 be used without internet accessiblity? Thank you for working with me. Louise Philipp

  23. aprox 3 wks ago I purchased a new 4 pak of 200 Standard capacity ink for a Graduation and Mothers’Day trip to Ga and Fl. I purchased this from our local WalMart store(code13T200620 on pkg) dated best b-4 12-2017. I have a Epson XP400 and was very disappointed when I only got 32 pictures printed b-4 I ran out of ink in the cyan and magenta cartridges!!! If it wasn’t illegal to throw the entire Epson system into the landfill I would. Would/will never recommend to another person to use Epson products!!

  24. I have an Epson printer model 3520 and used to buy ink at Best buy in single packages, today I could not find 126 yellow but did find one single 125 and the sales person said it was the last single and should work. Now she said Best Buy only sells packages of ink cartridges.. I have not been satisfied with Epson and this will make me look at other printers if this info is rue.

  25. I have the NX415 printer. I have had this for a few years now. I can’t wonder if you have received many complaints about the ink issue. It’s obvious that most people use BLACK for the most part. So why should all cartridges be replaced for just black only? Also, the amount of ink in these cartridges are less than expected. I hardly use COLOR to print. The printer itself is good. I’ve enjoyed using it. But, let’s face it, when it comes to the ink issue, I’m going to feel forced to replace the whole printer. This constant issue slows my work down. Not only the fact the outrageous cost of so little ink.

Thank you for your time in this matter.( I’m sure I won’t hear from you.)

  26. I purchased an Epson Workforce 3620 on 9/21/15 and picked up from Office Depot on 9/22/15. When I tried to set up the printer, I kept getting an error message. I finally called Epson Technical Support and got a lady that spoke very broken English. We ended up in a screaming match. She finally told me the hard drive was no good and I would have to return the printer to Epson. They would send me a replacement, but I had to give her a credit card to put a charge on hold until they received the broken printer. She assured me it was still under warranty. You think? I just took it out of the box. Well, in tracking my replacement printer, I find it has been returned to FEDEX because the address was incomplete. After holding for 34 minutes, I finally spoke to Antonio, who told me that I needed to call FEDEX and get the address corrected. I told him that Epson was the shipper and why was it up to me to get the address corrected. He said he was sorry. So, I called FEDEX and found out the shipment was returned to their warehouse due to an incomplete address. My condo number is 904. They had 9. Now, it will be next week before I receive it. So, I have basically paid for two printers and have nothing I can use. Not a very satisfied customer right now.

  27. i just replace ink and i put it in the ink level is saying 0%
    and i can’t print anything
    epson wf-2540
    replacement ink number 200

  28. My order of Oct. 19 said I would get next day delivery. It did not explain that meant the next day from the time you processed the order. So my order did not arrive today and will come tomorrow instead….and I will be out of town. Had i known, I would not have placed the order. I would have gone to Staples and purchased the ink refill.

  29. I purchased and Epson printer and I liked it. But then it kept saying it was out of ink so I went and bought more ink which was way to expensive just to see that the printer still would not work very disappointed in Epson and the place we bought it said Epson would have the info in my printer so I could get my money back what an ass ache. still no money and stuck with a broken printer.

  30. I have an Epson Artisan 810 with a new set of cartridges ($110) in it and it shut down with a warning that my ink pads are at the end of their service life. These ink pads are not wet enough to even blot ink from them with a paper towel. I very seldom use it so they are not saturated. I tried to reset the chip and got one page to print and it shut down again. After paying more than 300 dollars for this printer I would think you would have the respect for your customers that keep you in business to allow them to decide when it is time to give up their expensive equipment and allow them to reset the printer to get their money’s worth out of it. That is waste. Why can’t you make printers that will print as long as the waste pad is not saturated instead of setting it to shut off by the number of copies it prints. Your cartridges only hold about 1/4 as much ink as HP an Cannon printers. This is also a poor judgement call on your part. If you want to stay in the market, make printers with replaceable waste filters and as you now have larger ink capacity. You could be top of the line if you had some intelligent management.

  31. I just spent a ton of money on your 273 XL 5 pack ink and the cartridges are the same size as the regular normal size. how do you explain that??

  32. After spending days trying to find an updated Windows driver for my still functioning Action Laser 1500, after contacting your telephone assistance and finding no generic driver available to solve the issue, I can only conclude that I can no longer buy Epson printers and will share my frustration with my peers.

  33. I am having a problem with my WF-3540 printer. It gives me a “paper jam” message. When I open the compartment, I see no paper, much less a paper jam. I tried “contact us” on you web site and found that, once a customer purchases a printer, that customer is on her own. You provide NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT and NO WAY OF CONTACTING EPSON. I consider customer service an essential part of any business. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER EPSON PRODUCT!

  34. Now that I have read all the negative customer feedback above, I am REALLY sorry I bought this printer, which is less than a year old.

  35. I purchased an Epson XP-620 in Sept., at Staples in Dartmouth Crossing in Nova Scotia. The printer failed. I called and was told to send the printer and they would send a replacement. The replacement took 6-7 weeks to get here. I sent the defective printer back next day. there was no shipping label included with the replacement, so I sent it back on my dime. I was told you would by shipping both ways. Purolator wants a shipping number from within Canada or they will hold me responsible for the charges. Reply ASAP Susan Mac Lean

  36. contaced your office today about a problem with a bran new xp 630 printer not happy with response the said the would send ink , this will not solve the problem have replaced with new still reads instal 410 ink HELP jim travers

  37. Do you know how much time I spent trying to get a simple question answered on your website for my printer as to why I can not get it to stop giving me an error message of my paper jamming after I cleared it over and over again. Took it apart, changed paper, washed it. Looked up your site. Read your manuals. Then filled out your stupid email support form to find out you don’t have a send button to get assistance from your support tech. I lost a whole day. I even changed the damn ink cartridges that are not cheap. You don’t put the send button on it because you don’t want to be bothered to help. Gee thanks. I only have to get out these legal papers and now I am another day behind. Then I have to look on the internet to find a customer service form to even write you. Thanks for the help. Lynn Timmins Now this button says Post Comment. I probable won’t even get help with this email it will probable just get posted on some blog some where and not even get sent to a help line.

  38. I was interested in your WF-2650 printers, but when I contacted your tech-support I could not understand the support person. This individual was trying to be helpful but their accent was so strong I was unable to have a conversation. I will buy another brand.

  39. I have owned three of your Epson printers and I have to say that I am very disappointed. When you print an envelope it leaves black ink splotches on the envelope, when you want to print some card stock paper it won’t go through. You would think a company as large as yours could make a better printer.

  40. About 2 weeks ago I downloaded your update and it ruined my all in one WF- 2530
    printer.
I talked to your technical support and after several things they tried they were unable to help.
Their final response was they couldn’t help me and because I bought it about 1 1/2
years ago it was out of warranty.
I’m sure I can’t be the only person this happened to, and think Epson should step up and take care of this problem.

  41. Just to let you know last month I bought a # 69 package (3 inks)inks did not need it right away. The other day when I opened the box I found 1 #69 and 2 #88. Needless to say I was not happy, I had thrown away my sales slip and was not sure witch store I bought it in. I had to go out and buy a new box of ink, That is an extra $45.00 I should not have to have spent. Something or someone screwed up.
As I said it was just to let you know so this does not happen to some one else.
    Thank You, R.H.

  42. I bought a new WF-3720 printer today, and although it installed (SLOWLY), all attempts to print go only to the fax mode. I have done the troubleshooting thing, but nothing works.

“Eric” and “Gary” apparently have better things to do this evening, so I hope someone will help me resolve this probably simple problem.
