Embarq was an independent telephone company that managed to climb to the top of the market where CenturyTel took notice of the competition. In 2009, CenturyTel bought out Embarq. CenturyTel eventually changed its name to CenturyLink after the merger was complete.

If you don’t have an account with CenturyLink, press 1 for additional options. We were unable to skip any of the automated options by pressing 0.

  1. I am very disturbed by the continues sale and other advertisement pop ups that cover most of the page. I know this generates $$$$ for you but I would NOT buy a thing in those ads. They bother me and I’m sure a lot of people. If they continue, I will not use your web site unless you give me the option of blocking them.
