Our Experience

When we contacted the customer service department, we were expecting a long wait, considering we called the corporate offices. To our delight, we didn’t have to endure an automated system or confusing options. A live agent answered our call. We asked the representative if customers have questions and concerns, is it better to contact the corporate offices or our financial planner. The agent explained, even though they can answer general questions, questions relating to your account should be directed to your agent. The call was quick and to the point. Tell us about your experiences.

  1. I am writing to commend two women who are a credit to your organization. They are Juanita in St. Louis and Rachel in Tempe. (I wish I had their surnames, to identify them more accurately.) Very recently, I found myself unable to move funds quickly enough to close escrow on a property I had bought. In a near-panic I called the main office number, and between them Rachel and Juanita came to the rescue, calming my anxiety, transferring funds accurately and promptly, and doing exactly as they promised they would do to bring my mini-crisis to a successful conclusion. (And at the eleventh hour, I might add!) I can’t thank them enough, nor can I say enough to Edward Jones as the employer of two highly professional and personable experts.

  2. I recently visited one of your establishments in Tifton Georgia. Upon going
I had intentions of learning about this company and investing my money. But
The investor that spoke to me told me that he is really busy and it’s tax time,
He also stated that he is not taking any new customers and he had an I don’t care attitude.
I don’t know what his problem was, but he acted as if I didn’t have money or I just wasn’t worth his time. My issue is that even if he felt that way or just didn’t care because he was retiring, he could have referred me to another investor. I know I look young but I’m a RN and I’m 22, my fiancé is a manger of a restaurant, but you would never know that by judging people. I would never refer my friends or family.

  3. Andy Pope (Xenia OH) is our family Edward Jones Rep. He has my account my brother’s and my mothers account. I have been with him for 15 years. He has been a great help to all of us. on Sunday Sept.21,2014 my mother pasted away in a nursing home in Xenia Ohio. She was in Ill health after a stroke two years ago. We were all there when she passed. Knowing it was a Sunday I just wanted to let him know that she had die. He is our friend and has taken time over he years to bring flowers to my mother every Christmas. I was so surprised while waiting for the voice mail to pick up on his office phone, he answered. It’s a sunny warm sunny Sunday and he answered. I kidded him about those EJ commercials on TV but it meant a lot to all our family that he was there. He was there at the viewing and again had sent lovely flowers. You have a good man in Andy Pope. Thanks for letting me comment on one of your best.

  4. I intended to terminate my Edward Jones account last year and to put my money into my annuity, where I could actually use it. This year, I filed my income tax return in mid-February. The day after I filed, I received a 1099 form from Edward Jones listing the income/assets in the account, which I didn’t even realize still existed. I had to file an amended tax return. Every employer I ever worked for had the W-2 forms and or LES forms ready in January. Every bank or credit union where I ever had an account had the 1099’s delivered in January. I have repeatedly tried to contact Edward Jones about terminating the account, but have been unable to find the relevant contact information. I do not want to do business with Edward Jones in any way, shape, or form.

  5. I have not try to access Edward Jones for some time but I have not changed my user name and password. However, when I just tried several times my information was not accepted and I was no allowed to change my password. Can you please help me.

  6. Thoughtful post , I was enlightened by the points , Does anyone know where my company might acquire a fillable IRS 1099-S copy to use ?

    • Paul Burns-agent in Graham, NC has been rude and uncooperative because I want to transfer my investment accounts. He won’t answer or return phone calls from my advisor. I have sent 3 secure messages, 1 voice mail and talked to him once on phone and he isn’t cooperating. He was rude and sarcastic when I talked to him on phone. I am at my wit’s end

      .

  7. I am writing to complain about Ed Jones recent policy to limit the dollar amount of Select IRA accounts at $100,000. This amount is not consistent with the small investor market that Ed Jones has been working with. We are clients for 20 years and just caught up in the DOL changes and the Select Account dollar limit, that prevented us from making a trade on June 12, 2017. Thanks for not being in touch with your clients.

  8. I am in the process of removing my money from your account run by jared c. straton in Sikeston, mo. he has not handled my money at all to my satisfaction. when I tried to talk to him about in on more than one occasion he kept saying think of my investments as a plate of food. and if you take away the mashed potatoes the whole meal is messed up. now, what is that suppose to mean. when I asked he never could give me an answer that made sense. and I told him I was not happy with the things he put my money into. and he said it was what Edward jones puts all their investors in. he doesn’t know what he is doing.
