Customer Service Email

We typically have a hard time finding a direct email address to reach customer service departments. Companies tend to prefer online forms to standard emails, but that is not the case with DFAS customer service. There are MANY email addresses to choose from.

We were able to find a master contact form https://corpweb1.dfas.mil/askDFAS/custCategories.jsp for DFAS customer service. Simply choose a primary and secondary topic to reach the customer service email form.

Our Experience

DFAS customer service is an automated system. There are detailed instructions listed to help navigate the customer service line faster. You can press 1 for retired military, 2 for current military, 3 for travel, 4 for debts, 5 for MyPay and 6 for garnishments. If you have any other issues not listed, press # for additional options. We were unable to reach a customer service agent because we are not employed by the military.

  1. I am trying to locate a phone number for someone within your IT department. Specifically, the person that updates your Pay Period Calendar. I have automated it completely so that all you have to do is change the year. No typing and looking things up. It even fills out the text at the bottom of the chart. I would be willing to share my Excel spreadsheet, if I can talk to someone other than a recording……

  19. In references to my brother Carl c. Rollins V36 ref. # who died 5/18/13 in the Philippines, do I REALLY need to fill out the claim form SF1174 with the same info my brother Calvin C Rollins, sisters Carolyn R Alexander and Cheryl McGuire have already provided with my name, ss.# and address ? My sister Carolyn started this process last year. I’m a Vietnam Veteran x Navy with my on unnecessary stressful headaches from a denied claim when I cracked my left heel onboard USS Peoria LST 1183 and now suffering from pain of bone spur and paid 10% for PTSD, REALLY and waiting for agent orange claim to be denied. my plate is full but if by not filling out this form will delay or cause denial for my siblings then I’ll waist time doing so, I was told at the Broward VA clinic when they were checking my foot for claim about the relationship to agent orange and PROSTATE CANCER I had surgery for on August16,2011 at University of Miami hospital. Please send me a yes or no answer by mail to my home because I can only check email at library. I have no computer at home and reaching someone by phone is a VERY LONG wait time. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

  20. when I try to login to Mypay it says my email addresss doesn’t match. How do I change my email address to the correct one? Also if there is another “open season” for restoring my SBP will I still have to pay all the back premiums to when I retired? when I retired I didn’t understand that declining it for my wife was permanent. Does it make a difference that 30% of my retired pay is VA disability or do they just charge according to my actual retirement pay? Thank you.

  21. Just got divorce after 23 yrs of marriage. My ex wife is active duty Army and I need to find out where to send certified copy of our divorce paperwork to start allotment on the alimony she has agreed to pay until her retirement starts when she retires. I need an address or phone number on where to send divorce documents for direct deposit to start in my account 1 Sept 2014.

    • I recently just got divorce after 24 years of marriage and sent my divorce decree per former spouse and suppose to receive half of spouse retirement pay. I have been given the run around by DFAS. Our divorce was final in Jan 2018 and had not received any payment. Resent all forms and divorce per letter from DFAS and was wondering why not back payment for former spouses and why ex-spouse is not paying until half of retirement pay kicks in. I need help getting questions and answers and not by being on the phone for 1 hour or more for them to keep telling me the same thing, no spouses get back pay. The question I have is why not and why it takes so long for former spouses to collect their full benefits to include SBP and why is DFAS not on the former spouses side and help with getting their payment and what ever is due to them.

  22. arrogant and rude. and not very knowledgeable. gain more insight regarding ‘former spouse benefits’ on the various web-sites. but after the customer service rep told me ‘get on with it ma’am’ I realized I was at the wrong number. after informing her I am no amateur been in the system 34 years and am not a former spouse just yet, she sat in her chair. my children both military have told me how incompetent, rude and uncaring the civilian personnel are in the finance office but, I just didn’t believe them until this morning. when I was working in PAC years ago, we did not have the best equipment, but the soldier was always #1, and for me to disrespect a spouse like I encountered this morning, I would have been terminated. I guess laws and levels of respect have changed.

  23. My comment is that I have been trying to get some help.Because my x husband owe me half of his retired pay.We was married way over ten years .And he was in the air force. Some one please help. Where do I go from hear?

  24. Please provide a good contact number/email for someone who can assist in getting answers regarding the progress of DWOS matters for active duty, retired and reserve personnel.

  25. I have attempted to contact DFAS Customer Service concerning an invoice that needs to be recalled for correction for 2 days but have been unable to reach anyone via the telephone. I have waited on hold each day for about 2 hours before I gave up. I have emailed a request to have the invoice recalled also (2 days ago) but have yet to receive a reply or action concerning the recall. Eventually, DFAS is going to have to recall the invoice back to me for correction (it is in a suspended status and I know why) but I was just trying to save time. Sorry I bothered. I am with the federal government and it used to be possible just a few years ago to pick up the phone and talk to people at DFAS and get things done very quickly. Now this is impossible. What happened?

  26. I have not received my retirement pay this month. I am currently stuck in New Mexico awaiting DFAS to fix problem. I have sent fax, e-mails and tried to speak to a human daily. My checking account is now in the negative.

  27. I have faxed 5 requests and did 1 email to change my bank account information for auto deposit. I know I signed some if not all requests. I sent my first request in December. Also included with was a request for a call because having trouble for a full year concerning a change of address, I wanted to talk to someone to verify the bank info was completed and correct. You messed up royally the bank information so how can I get someone to call me???? Your phone message keeps telling me you are unusually busy and to call back later.

  28. I would like to send documents to cancel SBP based on divorce. Can I get assistance or at least the email address. I am unable to get through on the phone. Thanks

    • Did she sign the paperwork to opt out or did you get her to sign the paperwork or did you change the paperwork so she could not get anything due to you might re-marry and give new spouse the money just to hurt her. She would have to sign paperwork opting out of the SBP and not you. We have ex-spouse signing their ex’s signature on paperwork to keep them from receiving. Let her have it and move on Earnestine.

  29. My husbands check today (active duty army) was half of what it should be/usually is. No explanation. Nothing. I know it’s an error bc we have zero garnishments or collections. What makes me mad is he’s tried all day to get ahold of someone but just gets automated crap. His s1 office is closed on thursdays. This is ridiculous. Not only has he not received back pay from getting promoted in AUGUST but now we can’t pay all of our bills/buy food bc his check was wrong and there’s no one in site to remedy the situation. Shameful.

  30. I have been trying to get a copy of my fathers 1099r , so I can do his taxes, as he has passed away. It has been very hard for me to get this information.Thank you. Paul

  31. You need to get an expert to expand your web site to handle more traffic! I need the mailing address for Military Retired Pay in Kentucky. Thank you.
    Paul V. Helsel

  32. I retired from the Coast Guard in 02/10/ 2006. I moved back east and am now back in Yuma Az. I have not received my 1099r for 2014. Who do I call or email to try and get a 1099r so I can do my taxes. Thank You very much

  33. I just received a new retiree account statement and need to check now that I have a higher disability rating can I set up my wife to receive the sbp. We goofed when we retired to set it up right and I want to make sure she has income when I pass away.
I also wanted to check is it 80% disability I will be receiving?
    Thank-You for you’re help. Erv

  34. I hope we can find lot more ways to help the retirees, service, active, etc… in whats needed for these people instead of the constant denial,or redtape, or lost records bull thats still going on persay. I know I am one of the ones that’s going through the situation and need the help. Thank You.

    Yours Truly,

    Charles H. Luster,Jr.

  35. 04/13/2015

    To whom it may concern,
I hope that we can find more and better ways to help the retirees, active, service people instead of having to go through the redtape, lost records etc… bull, that we go through. I know I am one of the ones that need the help that’s going through it. I need someone, agency of the U.S.Military to find my DD-214 so I can retire and recieve my pension etc… and go on with my life. Thank You.

    • I would like to talk to a human being. I have sent in 6 inquires to get a W-2 for 2013. It was never mailed to me. I have tried the online system it does not recognize me at all. I finally got a hold of a human being but they said I am not in the system. I am a grey area retiree and after 26 years of service I do not exist. I have called the National Guard Ombudsman but nobody monitors this line I was on hold for 2 hours and finally left a message. Does anyone out there read and help with these posts or should I contact my congressman to get some answers.

  36. I am a former military spouse, it is the middle of the month and I still have not received my check in the mail. I feel I keep getting passed from one person to another and end up nowhere.
What does a person need to do to get their money from DFAS?
    Help please!

I received a copy of the decision that was made that i’m 100% cause I have a memory loss and my claim was affect Nov 2,2011 and I just received the letter of decission on Oct 12,2014 but I don’t understand I didn’t get any pay for the decission and everybody else was pay for it even they restore there military retirement all need is an explanation to tell me whats going on instead of living in the I’m retired Army even my records I was try to update even send copies still no answers please I appreciate if somebody explain it then I won’t bother you people if you don’t want to be bother but I can contact my congress woman in Washington to look up for my information thankyou very much and have pleasant week god bless.

  38. I already send a comments on July 13,2015 at 9:10 pm our local time maybe yu understand my situation thankyou very much

  39. Third country customer service, inept staff. Trying to get my last active duty check since 16 June 2014, but it seems impossible dealing between the Out of Service Debt, and DFAS active duty pay no one knows their jobs, I rather speak to a monkey next time. Extremely frustrated Veteran!!!!!

  40. What customer service? All you get is a automated system that cant help you with anything. I been calling all morning about an allotment I set up, it took the money out my check but didn’t pay the company on the first like it was suppose too. Automated system cant pull up my records even though I put in my social and pin.
Where is the customer service or help with pay issues from a person?

  41. This is getting ridiculous. I submitted a question to “retired pay” and they sent me to you guys to get the answer to my question. I have no idea of how to contact you guys to do that.

  42. I’m trying to buy back my Military for my civilian job and my HR personal told me I need to find out how much I earned why I was in the Military.03,April 1990 thru 19,December 1997.If this is the wrong Department could you provide me with the correct number or email address. Thanks

  43. This is the most disfunctional service I have ever experienced in my 56 years of life. This is something only the Government could get away with and whoever set it up shoulod be terminated immediately.
If you are interested in why, please feel free to contct met any time, day or night.

  44. I am totally frustrated with my payroll office customer service. They refuse to follow their own federal withholdings policy stated on the mypay site regarding changing withholding more than 10 exemptions. When I called to ask for assistance in making the change, I was asked if I had spoken with my supervisor. When I politely refered him to there stated policy of calling them for assistance. I was told they could not help me, that maybe I should call my HR.

    1. My financial tax decisions are no ones business but my own.
    2. HR does not handle pay issues, the payroll office does.
    3. Why does DFAS feel they should be able to limit my federal withholding exemptions to a maximum of ten, when they have no authority to do so.

This is a violation of IRS Publication 505 rules.

  45. I reveral a emil letter from you sataing that my retired was inveral and I do not a phone to call you. please let me know if my retired pay wall in the bank.

  46. I am trying to locate the correct office to contact to get a calculation of what my US Army retired pay would be if I had retired in 1985 after 21 years of service instead of in 1992 after 28 years of service. Melvin E. Case, Colonel (Ret); last four are 5851. Thank you.

  47. I sent out a request to London KY> to change banks for my direct deposit in oct. 2015, it is now jan 2,2016 and still no change.or reply of my paperwork. I hope I will now get an answer.

  48. I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR ABOUT THREE WEEKS TO FINDOUT WHEN I WILL GET PAID. I HAVE DID ALL THE PAPER WORKS. I TURNED 60TH ON DEC. 19,2015. I WAS INFORMED THAT I WOULD RECEIVE MY FIRST CHECK ON 1-1-2016. I DID NOT. I DO KNOW MY MONTHLY PENSION YET. WHAT MY MONTHLY CHECK WILL BE. AND WHEN TO EXPECT IT.

  49. this is the poorest customer service I have seen in my entire life of sixty years of living on this earth. forty five minutes of solicitation talking about other programs. I only wanted no when I will get paid, and what monthly pension would be.

  50. My stepfather, Anthony Muoio, a retired U.S.A.F. CMSgt, Ret. died September 22, 2013. I have been trying to get the payment from the last partial month retired pay for over 2 years. I have been dealing with the Retired and Annuitant Pay section of the Defense Finance and Accounting service. I am the executor stated on CMSgt Muoio’s will that has been recorded by the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego. I have submitted a copy of that will and court receipt. I have submitted form 1310 (Statement of Person Claiming Refund Due a Deceased Taxpayer.) I have submitted a copy of the death certificate. I have submitted form 1174 (Claim for Unpaid Compensation of Deceased Member of the Uniformed Services) I have obtained an Employee Identification Number as requested for CMSgt Muoio. Our estate lawyer for the Muoios provided the Affidavit For Transfer Of Personal Property Without Administration (California Probate Code Section 13101) which were notarized by all 3 recipients (myself and 2 sisters) and submitted to DFAS. Part of the delay was my fault until I realized that CMsgt Muoio needed an EIN for his estate and the EIN for my mother who died 2 months previously was not applicable. However, I have since submitted all the forms and information as requested by an S. Gleeson, Military Pay Technician since December 24, 2013. I have called numerous times to request assistance during the subsequent time that has passed. I have requested to talk to a supervisor twice and have been told they will return my call within 5 days but then receive no call. One lady I spoke with nonchalantly said, “Well, that’s the way government works.” I was told in letter #5 that they do not accept wills but the last letter #6 states they need a copy of the Anthony Muoio will. That can be seen on Task #14074376. The last sentence in the letter asks to know if any deceased siblings had children. Of course, the children do not respond to our requests for information and they are not listed on the will anyway. I have reported this situation to the GAO and they replied that they had no jurisdiction on the matter. I have contacted the legal office at the local Air Force base and the lawyer agreed with my complaints but said they had no recourse also. I understand the DFAS is operated by the U.S.A.F. and since I was a part of that organization, I am ashamed of the service provided.

  51. On 01/22/2016 I spoke to Ken in Military pay (customer Service), I must say, he was very kind and gave me some guidance on My Pay program as an ex-employee from DFAS-Rome trying to retain my W-2 forms from 2015. I do believe he should be recognized for his customer service ethics.

  52. I completed the Annuity Claim Package, and received a letter back that I did not complete Part F of Form 1174. I have tried numerous times today to contact but due to the first of the month was unable to reach a customer service rep. Do I completely redo this form as Part G was witnessed and to try and track them down again is very difficult and this would delay this further. This is a very hard time and my husband Douglas J Hughes Sr arrears of pay are being delayed to me. Is there any way Military Pay Technician C Roman can call me back on this as this is urgent. Please advise. Thank you Barbara A Hughes

  53. my divorcepaper states that iam getting a procentage of my husbands retirementpay…he recently retired …who do i contact to get my money

  54. Is there any way I can talk to a live body other than a damn recording? I have been trying to get my w-2 forms since I got discharged.

  55. I do want to recognize Ms. Charyl Weaver’s outstanding customer service. After waiting on hold for over an hour and a half on the DFAS customer service line on Friday January 15th, Ms. Weaver patiently listened and investigated my issue. Please note my colleague waited for a similar amount of time on Wednesday, 13 January, and was able to connect with a technician although my follow up phone call was required when no additional information was received regarding the status of “why” the payment was deleted AND whether the payment could be issued instead as a paper check. Ms. Weaver clearly understood the issue and promptly routed the inquiry to the appropriate party. She understood the customer’s frustration over the delay in payment, including the time and effort already exerted to understand the issue, and the necessary urgency required to resolve the problem.
Unfortunately, it is now 9 February and after being shuffled through several DFAS “supervisors” I am still waiting for a response as to whether the “check” in question has actually been cut and mailed. It has been an exauhstive, inefficent, and ineffective experience and improvement in the quality of customer care, including processing time, response time, inter-departmental communication/coordination, etc. is absolutely necessary. I understand my one issue has consumed an inordinate amount of time and effort, not to mention the effort of other colleagues, and the continual inquiry from the recipient who was expecting to receive a payment before the Holidays in December. And all of this due to an employee error and failure in the DFAS system to 1) prevent the error from occuring and 2) fail to mitigate the error in a timely way. This issue as of today is still unresolved and the burden is on the end user to continue to follow up, by phone, by email, to which days go by without response….unacceptable is an understatement.

  56. I called DFAS-411 on Friday February 5, was on hold for about 45 minutes and finally left my phone number to get a call back. It is now after hours on Wednesday, February 10, and I have not heard back. I tried to call again this afternoon but I heard the message that if I had already called, I should not call again. I don’t know if the backlog is 4 days or if I have gotten lost in the shuffle.

  57. I am attempting to find out more about the debt that I have received, I have called the number listed and spoke with the customer service representatives. I have documented over 4 hours of call time and so far none of them have been able to give me any information. I am sending this email along with others for my records since I will not be paying this debt until I am informed of the reason behind it.

    Sincerely,
    James Taft

  58. Why does DFAS not give a crap about its service members when they retire???
WHY does nobody at DFAS give a crap. Why can we not file complaints to leadership???
I have been medically retired now for 74 days and I can not get you to start my pay. I call in and ask why and just keep getting excuses that somebody failed to do their job and start my pay, then they tell me it will take several days to look into the situation. I call back then later and it is just were working it just give us some more time.
How do you expect us to pay our bills if you don’t care enough about us to stop jerking us around. I guess as long as you get your paycheck then we don’t matter!!!!

I know nobody in a leadership position will ever see this.

  59. I submitted a travel voucher 5 April 2016 and it was returned for corrections; I made the corrections and resubmitted it immediately. Here we are 19 May 2016 and absolutely nothing!

I called four times yesterday and “the system was down”

Meanwhile, my GOV CC is way past due!!!!

  60. Why is it impossible to talk to anyone about my separation pay? I have been waiting since March 2015 for DFAS to receive my case and now I am told I have to submit either a copy of a voided check (which I submitted) or an SF 1199A. Then I receive an email saying that they need both? Also, why does the entity that handled my pay for 8 years now suddenly need my direct deposit information?

  61. As I read through these comments, I was so disturbed. Do we really care about the military? I don’t think so. If you are in charge, in anyway, you need to do something about this so called, automation. You can not take care of human problems with a pre-recorded message that nobody listens to. It is a shame on us as US Citizens to allow this kind of so called, customer service to continue.

  62. This was the worst experience ever! After going through several automated options to get a live person regarding a helpdesk ticket I submitted, I was mishandled by Booker, an extremely rude employee. I had already been on hold for over 23 minutes only to explain the situation that prompted my helpdesk ticket to him and for him to refer me to finance. I explained that I had gone to finance and they suggested I call DFAS. Booker kept trying to tell me that the information I was inquiring about was in the “reg” but had no clue which regulation he was referring to nor could he refer me to the proper regulation. It was almost like he was reading a script that said “when all other answers seem to not be working, refer the caller to the reg and tell them their finance department should be able to tell them what reg to research.” What a waste of time!

  63. Me and my twin brother have been given the run around since my father passed last year November. We have called about five times about paperwork and their processing. Now eight months later we are told we’re denied to being over 18 and not fulltime students. We are fulltime college students and have been since 08/2015 but was never told to fill out some required forms. The service is just awful!!! Don’t understand how they treat people like this and sleep at night!!

  65. The system does not have a section for just general questions about spouses or dependents. Support from divorce.
    Please, help.

  66. I have spent the last 20 minutes trying to talk to anyone not automated to find out why my family dental insurance was not paid. There is no option for this and I keep getting lost in a circle of automated questions completely unrelated. Automated systems are frustrating enough without the run around and constant website references.

  67. I’m trying to talk with someone about changing my address in Finance but all I get is a computer run around and to correct the spelling of my name. can someone help me?

  68. I need to change my direct deposit information. My efforts have led to an endless phone ringing with no answer. All iI need is the correct address to send the forms to. Please help! Thanks

  69. I am retired Navy. And I am trying to figure out how to change my SBP election. My former spouse and I divorced of a requirement to main s maintain spp coverage for her was placed under the maintenance section of the divorce decree. What procedures do I need to do to terminate my SBP coverage. I have been trying to get through to customer service for 3 days now. Constant all our customer service reps are busy please call again and call termination.

  70. My comments are that it is not easy to contact DFAS. I was trying to call to let DAFS, that I am a retired member of the Air Force, I retired in 1972 with over 21 1/2 years of service. I just want to inform them that my wife opf 675 1/2 years, Peggy A. Muratore passed away on May 30th this year. She is buried in the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in West Nashville, TN and when I pass on I will be buried in the same grave with her. I have no one else to name to get the survivor benefits.

  71. DFAS declared me deceased after my former spouse passed away despite no death certificate. I have been trying to resolve this issue since July and get my back pay restored. After I contacted my congressman because I could not get any assistance from DFAS, my acct was suddenly frozen and they will not talk with me since I went “congressional”. Now I am being penalized for trying to get help after they declared me deceased and could never explain how this happened or how it will be resolved. Think twice about calling your congressman because DFAS does not like being criticized and will delay the processing of your issue. So much for service to our veterans!!!

  72. Have been trying to get hold of Dias rep to up date or send me a new W-4 for tax year 2018 &hi set on hold for a hour or more &say the hell with it ,I only have a I-pad & no printer . Can not find a forms request page ,is there one ,if so then where is it to be found?

  73. This is the worst service I have ever encountered. I have been trying for two days to retrieve LES and W2 information for a court appearance and the website has been down. This is unacceptable service members are asked to travel the world and serve their country. This agency does not seem fit to allow service members the privilege to have access to their LES. Unacceptable!

  74. Having extreme difficulty obtaining a correct phone number. One went directly to a marketing site. Others just rang without answers. Needing assistance and appreciate an email with the correct number to call. Civilian pay/leave issues.

  75. Am trying to submit an online request for 1099-R reissue.

When it comes to selecting day, month and year for birthday, retirement date, and marriage date – the site accepts the day and month I selected, but it does not put in the years I chose (11946/1989/1983). Even when I select the proper years and see them appear in the right area at that moment, by the time I go to the next data needed, the prior selected year for the prior question turns into 2017 (rather then the correct years that I selected). How is one supposed to use this self-help site to request forms, if the site/page keeps changing the years they selected for questions asked?

  76. I have been dealing with dependent care, attempting to add my grandson to my Tricare prime & health benefits. The first time my grandson was rejected because no paperwork was received, however this is not true we sent the paperwork return receipt USPO and have the receipt (Loss of PPI), my grandson went to the bottom of the pile, the 2nd time we needed and additional form instead of sending email it was sent snail mail and once again at the bottom of the pile, contacted the lady this morning and she said it would be the 2nd week in Feb before she would determine if anything else is needed. She said she is overworked, I do not know what her problems are or why the Navy still needs all this paperwork, the Army or Air Force do not require this. all I want is to get my grandson covered, I was trying to find the senior enlisted person at DFSA for help but not luck, I guess I well need to turn to my congressman to get that poor lady some and get my grandson some medical coverage. Missing PPI is bad enough but this has been going on since last July. V/r

  77. I think DFAS should notify me if I owe something. I checked my credit and up pops name DFAS. There is no way to contact them. No way to contest anything. I don’t know what site to go to. All I know is that they have done this before. I try to update my address and they don’t let me. Then they accuse me of not paying something I don’t even have access to or know about or have access to because I am no longer in the Navy. Due to uncompensated physical discharge… This is probably what a bunch of those commonwealthers over on the east coast do when they think that they live in an actual state. Truth of the matter – the commonwealthers live in the past.

  78. I’m having a hard time understanding with all the phone numbers for DFAS Civilian Customer Service, the same recorded message is repeated. I called 3 different numbers and the female comes on with the same message!
I sent an email regarding this same issue, and it comes back the mailbox is full.
    Really?
I’m trying to correct the W4 mistake I may have made 01/25/2018. I am getting my retirement package ready and may or may have not corrected the changes to take effect April 30, 2018. I want to continue the same exemptions I currently have for Federal and State.
I appreciate a reply or phone call so I can make the corrections!

    V/r,
    Sharon L Anderson

  79. I need assistance to correct and update to my pay and service records, obviously the system is not gear or manned to handle the work flow. I have completed the required forms over the last years and still no corrections. Still on hold for the last hour, yesterday on hold two hours, still nothing, no contact, this time I have been on hold for twenty five minutes,

  80. There is no way to update a change in email address. I dropped COX over a year ago and attempted to update my email to no avail. This system is beyond broken. WHY can’t someone with a little common sense make this system user friendly?????

  81. I have a Court Order for my ex-husband to pay alimony, he is 11 months behind. Retired Air Force and civilian employee at Andrew Air Force base, needing help.

  82. I am looking for the official website to send modification that’s de obligating funds from a contract.

  83. Yes recently retired from Air Force 1 Jan 2017. Received a W-2 for active duty pay for 2017 for $9000. Checked bank account did not receive this. I have been on the phone talked to 4 different departments and 7 different people, no one can tell me why it is there, but they can sure transfer me even after I tell them not to. This has been a two week endeavor it started on the 13th of march and i have over 13 hr in it. Still no answer. Great customer service

  84. system locks you into self service options only on the retirement
line. suited numbers and now i have a 40 minute cell phone charge wait time. this is inadequate for a Gov’t number. tryin ng to get my 1099r ordered it online got a different form sent to my home. system does not recognize my SSN

  85. I am unable to access your website for Login: mypay.dfas.mil
If possibe, could you please provide me with comment as to why?

  86. You guys can’t even answers the questions that is being asked!!! There is no email address either, if there is one it doesn’t exists anymore. What kind of system is this?????

  87. Today, I went though many prompts before getting the message that DFAS is closed because the phones are broken. Often, I have tried to reach someone and I get the cryptic message we are closed today and tomorrow. No apologies or information about whether they will ever be open. Just a rude screw you we are closed.

  88. I have spoken to many professional and caring people at DFAS but wanted to especially acknowledge the person I spoke with today, identified as Dion (?). What an amazing person, that on a Friday afternoon after speaking to customers, usually with problems, I was able to speak to such a capable and caring professional. She was a blessing! In a myriad of beaurocractic stressors where one can commonly be on hold for 30 minutes, this one encounter completely exemplifies the whole organization. How blessed we are to have her working at DFAS and supporting the customers! Thank you so much, Mrs. Dion.

  89. I am trying to contact DFAS to get a copy of my 2002 W2 due to the current disability severance pay tax reversal. I have tried everything on the site to contact someone to no avail. I need a hard copy of my 2002 W2 but for the time being and urgency of this situation I can take the verbal information over the phone.
    My contact numbers are
    cell: 256-452-9714
    Work: 256-235-7709
    Thank you,
    Michael Gaines

  90. I would be able to if I could only get into the site. all I want is a copy of my LES’ for the period 2010/12/21 – 2011/12/20. I am in the process of retiring and this year is missing from records. Thank you for your assistance. If you are unable to assist please provide some guidance.

  91. Horrible! To begin, the selections are redundant which translates in wasted time selecting the same departments over and again. I should not have to go through the hassle of trying to contact someone about a pay issue by selecting all the correct options simply to be transferred again and told that there is a 40 minute wait time. If you want to do something properly, then establish the option of call back. This will keep people from wasting numerous hours on the phone to get nothing….I say again, nothing out of it. Clearly I don’t do generalizations; however, if you don’t like you job – then quit as you have a choice. Otherwise, do your job and quit pawning people from person to person as if it is some sort of game!

  92. Customer Service Personnel are very professional and very helpful. My only question today is why one of my allotment of $100.00 to my insurance was stopped/ did not received any notification about it except changes in my pay.

Need verification please. This is my Life Insurance payment. I have this insurance when I was still in Active duty.

  93. I am being endlessly looped through useless procedures with no help. I was just funneled to an annuitant pay call center where they tell me that the wait time is over one hour. Do you think this is reasonable? Is this how widows of service members should be treated? ALL I NEED IS TO GET STATE TAX WITHHOLDING ON MY PAY ACCOUNT. THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.

Will someone please have a heart and help me? Machines are heartless and robotic call centers are not helpful.

  94. would like to find out why it has taken 9 years for dfas to find me. i just started receiving my social security last month and get it with a deduction this month that dfas says i owe. I reenlisted in Feb 06 and got out in Aug 08. was givin a 15,000 dollar bonus to reenlist, first check in the amount of 7500.00 minus taxes.so my question is how much do i owe and why do i owe after serving for half of my obligation.

  95. ive been on hold for over a hour , don’t even know if I have the rite selection 3rd time ive called about the same issue. I don’t get it why don’t they have a operator or a call back option. im calling on my ceoll as well 2 phones over a hour good thing I have my charger…… this is terrible

  96. I just waited 30 minutes on hold only to have someone come on and transfer me to another department where the estimated wait time is 36 minutes. This is unacceptable.

  97. I have been unable to connect to the Mypay.Dfas.mil/mypay.aspx for over 2 months. The operating system says it cannot connect or find the website,.Has the URL for this website been changed? has the security been revised for a different format login and password? Please advise I need to access my monthly ststements to verify deductions for the Delkta Dental Tricare Retireee plan so I selct a new plan from FEDBEN. Please respond quickly as my deadline is 12/10/2018.

  98. So you won’t take my call because the wait times are too long. After a half hour of endless nonsense and loops. They call this customer service for a reason. If you can’t get through, it isn’t service at all. It’s a disservice to every retiree. I would tell you to fix the problem, but its clear that no one is listening and no one really cares. Sad.

  99. I am trying to request LES from March 2014 – November 2018 if you could direct me how to accomplish this I would be grateful

  100. I have attempted to work with DFAS for approximately 2 years in order to get the retirement garnishment from my divorce established. DFAS consistently comes back with reasons as to why they can’t or won’t pay out (first, it was they needed proof that he was served which I provided the citation. And then it was because my divorce decree needed ‘specific wording’ they were looking for re: SCRA of 1940. Now I have to go back to court (post-divorce no less) because they refuse to work with me on anything. My ex fraudulently got a divorce by publication and it took me 2 years to overturn that decision (primarily because he would never show to court!) Then when I’m finally able to bring the case back to our home state, he STILL never showed. And he was stationed back at his home of record (our home state/city) so it’s not like he couldn’t show. Anyway, all that drama and still, 4 years post-divorce, I have to deal with this crap still. Most of the reps are ‘okay’ but many are NOT trained well as I’ve received various responses to the same questions on more than one occasion. And at least one rep put me on hold to hang up on me – I have a hunch since she was unbelievably rude and started yelling at me over the phone over my frustration of always getting the wrong answer. I’ll admit, I was upset but she refused to LISTEN. That’s all I needed was someone to LISTEN to what I have to say! Ridiculous!

  101. Just curious I need help from DFAS. The number for the Tier 2.5 helpdesk has a message the states that it is offline and has been that way for 2.5 weeks and probably before I started to call. The message says it is offline and to call your local DTA I am a LDTA for my command and have been for many years. What I need I was told that DFAS can assist. I have been given the DTMO number and they cannot help me with this. So when is DFAS going to take the 888-676-6742 down and tell people they are no longer providing assistance. Very frustrating.

  102. I recently received a disability rating that affects my military retirement pay. The VA says I need to contact DFAS in order to receive my back pay. I have been on hold with them for 1 hour and 52 minutes. Finally got someone on the line, explained what I needed, he asked me to hold for a moment, next thing I know I get a recording stating that there is 154 people ahead of me and the wait time is another hour. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! The process seems to be that no one at DFAS wants to help anyone, so they keep us on hold for so long that we get frustrated and give up. I will be contacting my congressional representatives about this.

  103. Terrible service! I need to SPEAK with a person to get a copy of my W2 to pride to the IRS. The W-2 is not listed on my mypay account. I need to now who and why the IRS is reporting a W2 that I have no idea it purpose.
